I’m not rating this one because I didn’t finish it.

It really is as bad as the uninspired title suggests.

Frankly - I should have known better!

The writing style evokes no emotion - it’s very matter of fact and abrupt. Almost no time is spent on character development whatsoever.

There’s also no originality here and the insta love is nauseating and unbelievable. Towards the half way point I just couldn’t take it any more.

There’s just no way Taras’ is a Bratva boss - he’s more like a bloody wet blanket!

Dark and dangerous Bratva boss, Taras Melekhov hired on an English nanny, Zoe Addison aka 'Mary Poppins' for his sweet 11 an a half year old daughter, Emma. What starts off as a distance employer/employee relationship turns into them both doing what was best for Emma Melekhov to their visible and loving relationship!

I loved how the heroine, Zoe stood her ground with the growly and bossy Taras until he bend over backwards and honesty fooling even himself... and boy did he bend! After the awful shooting, I really got to see exactly how much Taras had changed and was no longer basing himself solely on his role as Bratva Boss and his heart wrenching failed first marriage to Nina. His love for his daughter Emma was so sweet once he realized how much Zoe's demand were met. And he played an instrument, the cello to Zoe's singing to his melodic and soul-stirring music was just haunting to read in a mafia romance.

I love reading S.C. Daiko's mafia book because the characters pop off the page and hold your attention to the very end. Many of her vivid characters are in her other titles so I really need to peruse her entire collection!

5 Dark, dirty but so exhilarating stars *****

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.

Oh my goodness. Please stop what your doing right now and grab this book. It is nothing short of amazing. I fell so in love with Zoe, Emma and Taras. Taras is a mafia kingpin. Though I never felt like he was really where he wanted to be and he is fiercly protective of his daughter Emma. He now needs a new Nanny for her and Zoe has applied for and gotten the job. She is from England and has six months to work with Emma and for Taras. It isn't long before she meets Taras as she was hired by his housekeeper and right then and there it was like they were both shot with a bolt of electricity and the star were about to align and something amazing is about to take place. You can feel it with your heart and soul. However Taras is a hard man. He doesn't even eat supper with his daughter and he has never ever seen her dance ballet. It isn't long before Zoe and Emma are close and Emma is determinded to get him to act like a better father to his daughter. But there is this attraction that is burning all the time and I swear to you you are going to cheer out loud when that first kiss happens. I don't want to get carried away and give the whole story away but I could go on and on about this book. It is full of passion and love. Understanding and longing. And you might want to be ready for the tears to fall from your eyes. I nearly fell off my couch at one point and I am pretty sure I yelled and scared the crap out of my daughter. Oh the joys of being so into a book that you forget your not right there with these characters. I loved how well these characters are developed. You feel like you know them so well and that made a huge impact on how engrossed I was in this story. That you S.C. Daiko for sharing Taras and Zoe with us. They are characters that I love and am soon not to forger. Nanny and the Bratva Boss is a book that you do not want to miss. It's got all the fells and some funny moments with a spunky Nanny and a Bratva Boss.

Taras and Zoe's story was ok... it took me a while to finish it because after a while I just didn't care about the characters at all... There was a lot of drama and a quite long epilogue, which was necessary for the happy ending of the book. Additionally, the book was connected with Their Virgin Nanny as Zoe, is their daughter... so I would consider it a spin-off kinda book.

This is my first book by this author and it did not disappoint. We get to meet Zoe and Taras. Oh and let's not forget Emma!!

Zoe is a British nanny who Taras the Russian mafia kingpin has hired to watch over his 11 year old daughter Emma. Zoe and Emma take to one another and bond rather quickly. Zoe can see Emma wants a better relationship with her father and she sets out to make that happen. I really liked that Zoe did not let Taras get away with a while lot. Especially where Emma is concerned. She is the very bright light to his very dark heart. She makes him see there is more to life than the loneliness he has grown accustomed too.

Taras being the big bad mafia kingpin is used to having things done the way he wants them. He does not like to be questioned as expects his employees to follow his rules. That is until Miss Zoe comes into the picture. The walls he has built start to crumble and he begins to see what he has truly been missing.

Now why the 4 stars... Yes this is a Bratva story, but it is a very mild story. There are components, but I guess I'm blood hungry and thought there would be more of the Bratva. Will this stop me from reading her other titles? Uh no it will not!!!!

3.5 Stars

This is my first read by this author. I enjoy mafia books so I grabbed this one. Zoe is hired by the Russian mafia boss, Taras to nanny his 11 year old daughter, Emma. Zoe is young, and quirky and strong willed. She adores Emma from the start and sets out to help Emma and her stand offish father re-connect.

Zoe is drawn to Taras at first because I think he was a mystery she wanted to unravel. From there it jumps to lust and then quickly they are getting hot and heavy in his room. The whole book moved way to quick, I felt. Other than physical attraction, I was not feeling a connection between these two until the events at the end of the book. And even then, I was feeling more guilt from Taras than love.

I dropped my rating to 3.5 based on the unrealistic outcome for Zoe. I am all about suspension of disbelief--that is why I read, but given the nature of the event and the statistics of recovery, I just felt it was too good to be true. A different tension point could have been more realistic.

Loved Emma to pieces. She really was the glue for the family. I liked how Taras came to realize what he was missing by distancing himself from her.

Fast read. Just ok for me.

I don't even know what to say. If you in the mood for a hot broody alpha male then this book is for you. Taras was a mafia kingpin and he needed help looking after his daughter. So he hires an English nanny. But he didn't expect to be so attracted to Zoe. But she was another women he had to sleep with and get over with. And she was only there for six months so that wouldn't be a problem for him. What he didn't expect was to actually fall in love with her and want her for more than just six months. But Taras has lots of enemies and Zoe might not be as safe as he thought she was.

This one was definitely my kind of alpha male. He was hot, muscled broody and a total douchebag, lol. But in the end you can't help but fall in love with him.

What a story. I couldn’t wait to read Taras and Zoe story. It was really good. I enjoyed everything. I like Zoe’s character, she is kind and sweet. Taras doesn’t know what to do, he is the boss and needs to keep is head up high.

The writing was good.

I just felt like the story was sometimes a bit rushed.
I wanted the chemistry between them, to grow, to have more details on what was happening at some point. The end just happened, and even tho I loved it, it missed something...

Zoe & Taras 😍😍🎻🎶🎻

Wow!!! Such a good read this book had me going from beginning to end!! So much suspense, dangerously in love, steamy-hot moments Zoe & Taras shared. They are indeed perfect for each other in every way! The bond they share is so remarkable it's inspiring! Zoe is a strong sweethearted woman in every sense! Taras is the true definition of a man that loved hard & don't play when it comes to his loved ones! The real MVP!😍 I really enjoyed this one! Thanks SC Daiko!!!🙌🔥

WOW WOW WOW!!
5 stars but deserves more!
Zoe/Mary Poppins aka Nanny and Taras aka the Bratva Boss have a chemistry that is off the charts but being who he is is also very dangerous.
Zoe is hired to be Emma's nanny (Taras's daughter) and her main priority is to bring father and daughter together, Zoe has two dad's so she knows how important it is for a young girl to have a close relationship with her dad so her challenge is set and having Welsh blood in her veins she is stubborn and nothing will make her back down from her mission not even the mafia boss himself.
Taras never seen Zoe coming, when he hired the British nanny he had an idea of what to expect but seeing her in the flesh knocked his world off it's axle, she's sees him for who he is inside something that no-one has seen before and it shakes him, being the Bratva Boss he can't afford to show weakness and keeps everyone at arms length even his daughter, set in his old Russian ways he lives his life showing no weakness and trusts no-one, so how will handle an interfering Mary Poppins certainly not with British charm.

LOVED LOVED LOVED this book 💞💞

This was a good book, but I was kind of expecting something a little darker. Don't get me wrong, this book had some crazy dark moments, I just was expecting something else. But, I thoroughly enjoyed the read!

Zoe is a nanny that was brought over from London to work in the States for Taras' little girl. She is a sweet, seemingly naive woman, but she is definitely not naive and has major backbone!

Taras is head of the Bratva and has major responsibility laid out for him. He tries to keep his personally and his professional life separated, but it is causing a strain on those around him.

Zoe is like a breathe of fresh air for Taras and shows him that yes it may be hard, but he can still be in his family's life. The way everything folds is absolutely crazy with twists and turns when you honestly would not expect it.

The heat between Taras and Zoe is freaking insane. Their relationship felt rushed, but it was absolutely scorching!

Overall, I truly enjoyed this book and if you are a fan of dark romances, you will enjoy it as well!

4 outta 5 stars for me!

PS: I received this book as an ARC in return for my honest feedback.

Lyrical love story offset by tragic mafia violence.

Taras is a man devoted to his daughter, and to his business. After the failures of his marriage, he has no room for romantic entanglements. Zoe is just there for six months, as little Emma's nanny, and despite his fierce attraction to her he is determined to keep his distance.

I loved the way music was used throughout this book, with Zoe's singing, Emma's dancing, and even Taras and his cello. The author beautifully demonstrated the power of music to convey emotions. Zoe was fierce in her own right, and proved to be the perfect match for Taras.

The tragedy in the second half of the book was so unexpected, but it was handled with care and brilliantly developed the characters, including Zoe's family, so much more than I'd hoped for. The connections to characters from other books by this author were clear, making this a true standalone. The HEA was triumphant for being so long in coming, really showing the personal growth of all the characters. I was thoroughly captivated and read this through in one sitting. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

description
Nanny and the Bratva Boss was another steamy read by S.C. Daiko.

Taras is a cold controlled Russian mafia boss who needs a nanny for his 12 year old daughter Emma. When Zoe an American nanny is hired, her presence starts thawing the frozen heart of her sexy new boss.

This was a sexy hot read! I loved how Zoe could hold her own with Taras and didn't bend to his will like so many others do. Her nightly duet singing while Taras played the cello was a slow burn foreplay.

The mystery and intrigue kept this book from being the run of the mill nanny/boss story. Bad things happen to Zoe and that makes Taras fight harder for her when in the past he would have just let her go.

A great part of this story was the relationship between Taras and his daughter Emma. Because of past events and the danger that is always present for Taras, he kept Emma hidden from the world. He also kept his love hidden from Emma. Zoe came to this family and helped heal the broken relationship.

S.C. Daiko is just a great author. The stories are so well written and entertaining.

Taras is a Russian mafia kingpin who loves his 11 year old daughter Emma deeply and is very protective of her. When his daughter needs a new nanny, Zoe is the successful candidate.

From the beginning Zoe and Emma have an instant connection. Zoe knows that Emma wants more time from her father, and she is determined to show Taras that he needs to give it to her.

Taras is not used to having anyone stand up to him especially an employee. He in intrigued by her and the chemistry between them erupts but when the danger of his lifestyle closes in will he be able to keep Zoe and Emma safe?

Taras comes across as cold and unfeeling but Zoe manages to sneak in and steal his heart.

This story just sucked me in from the first page. The drama, the mystery and intrigue and the twists and turns will keep you guessing as to what is going on. Zoe is hired as the nanny for Taras' daughter, Emma. I loved Emma, she was so cute and so sweet and had an air of sadness about her that comes through very clear. She wants to be close to her dad but for some reason Taras keeps her at arms length. Taras tries really hard to keep his hands off Zoe but you know that it's gonna happen sooner or later. The story was a bit long but I honestly didn't mind as it gave a lot of insight to Taras. When something happens, will Taras be too late to let Zoe know how he really feels about her? Loved, loved, loved this!!

Zoe doesn't mind speaking her mind, "she shot me a withering look. “There you go again, being a p***k. I’m only trying to understand you, Taras.” Taras knows his woman real well, “I will give instructions to Mrs. Konin first thing tomorrow that you may use my credit card to order some outfits, if that’s okay with you?”Zoe was proud, she might not accept my offer. I stared at her while she deliberated." I liked this book, I liked Taras.

With sizzling chemistry and a to powerful to resist attraction, this book quickly pulls you into Taras and Zoe's story. Taras' daughter Emma was so sweet and I loved the connection between her and Zoe. I enjoyed Zoe going toe-to-toe with Taras to make sure he understood he needed to do better for his daughter. Zoe sets out to bring the father and daughter together. Taras is attracted to Zoe but doesn't want a relationship. Will Zoe help the father and daughter? Will the couple end up together? A good read.

SC Daiko has written another great book. What started off as a little slow for me turned into a rapid page turner. While the twists were mostly predictable the author put a great little spin on them that kept me even more addicted. I love how characters from previous stories intermingle their way into the stories as well.

Zoe Addison has left her home in England to fly to the US and become a nanny for Taras Melekhov’s daughter Emma. She is the US on a six month Visa and is excited for this new opportunity although she is aware of who her new boss is and what his profession is.
Taras Melekhov is a dangerous man who runs the Bratva, a Russian mob in the US. His enemies all want to take him down and therefore Taras remains guarded with his life and Emma’s.
When Zoe challenges Taras on how he raises Emma the sexual tension between the two grows but with Zoe in town for a limited time, will Taras let her in?
When it’s clear Taras’s enemies will stop at nothing to break him down who will be caught in the cross-fire?
This was such a great book and was so much more than I was initially expecting! I have never read this author before and the book was so much more than a nanny and her boss.
I thought Zoe was a great character and I definitely found her background and the way she grew up unique. I think that gave her so much more adaptability although I don’t think she was expecting quite so much with Taras and his stubbornness. Zoe was so kind and took an immediate love to Emma and the two became very close.
Taras was very determined to keep certain parts of his life closed off from everyone. I loved that he played the cello was very talented with it which led to certain other things in the book that I loved! He was so protective of Emma after what happened with her mom, Nina, and because he had lots of enemies.
The sexual tension between Zoe and Taras was super intense and you knew things would happen and they were HOT!!! You definitely need a fan to get through some parts of this book!!
I admired Zoe for putting herself out there at a certain point as she knew that would help Taras but I was completely shocked about the events that happen soon after that. I was freaking out so bad at what happened and what was going to happen. I was so proud of Taras for what he did and it showed how much love he had for Zoe!!
I was beaming at the end of the book for what happened with Zoe and also for Emma!! I really hope we get a story with Emma in it as well! - By Rebecca

In Short
- I enjoyed the lust between Taras and Zoe.
- I wanted more from Taras in regard to his character.
- Emma is a sweet, innocent characters.

In Long
The forbidden feel of the lust between Taras and Zoe was intriguing. Especially as Taras is so closed off and determined to not touch Zoe. I really enjoyed this aspect of the story and seeing it all play out, the inter battle between them both.

I warmed to Taras little by little, the more I got to know him. I felt like his characters change was too sudden for me though, I really would have liked to see the progress a bit more in depth by seeing more in to his emotions and his change of heart.

Emma is a sweet girl. I thought she might be quite a bratish character but she wasn't at all. She is a innocent, sweet little girl who I enjoyed getting to know throughout the book. Her and Zoe together were just adorable and their friendship was moreish.

The story line was faster paced, in fact at some parts I would have loved for a little more detail and depth to bring the intense level up, sometimes scenes had more potential. Taras really intrigued me but we don't get to see much of his business and what he gets up to when he leaves with I think would have added and helped my connection with him.

Final Thoughts
Nanny and The Bratva Boss is an enjoyable read that was different from what I have read before. I felt like I needed a little bit intense action in some scenes but over all I enjoyed it.

From England to America for half a year. The land of hope, and dreams. Promises and freedom.

Their initial meeting left alot to be desired. She walked away with negative thoughts of him, and he compared her to Mary Poppins!

Polar oposites sharing a house together to love and care for his daughter.

By day there is innocence, she's the hired nanny.

By night she's a siren who seduces him with her singing.

What will become of them..?

Oh my freaking *runs around screaming like a banshee* god did I just read!!!

My phone hates me as I did throw it, I did shout at it and I did blatantly blame it but in my defense this book made me do it!

I lost control of my emotions well and truly!! and why.. for one reason only I was shocked to my core!

It wasnt love at first sight, it was hard, and harsh, gritty and angsty.

Their attraction was mesmerising their denial of their wants captivated me, and their duets played out in my mind for long afterwards.

Taras is dark, and broody, angry and intense.

Zoe is the light. Beautiful, pure of heart and with a voice like an angel.

He was everything I love in a man, and she was everything I would want in a friend.

Two exceptional characters that made this a very memorable read.

S.C.Daiko has broken my heart, glued it back together and completely shattered my world.

It doesn't get better than this!!! EVER!!
