Poor. Abused. Criminal.
Being swallowed by the darkness each passing second.

Two lost souls searching for freedom and happiness.
We’re lonely—broken—and trapped.

descriptionIt is no secret that K Webster is one of my all-time favorite authors, and I especially love when she dips her toe into the "taboo", or in this case plunges her whole body into it. I LOVED this book SO much. You'd never guess this was done by two different authors. It was seamlessly written and executed. Yes, the subject is highly taboo, and people will probably lose their sh!t (lol), but putting that aside, this was an incredibly sweet romance about two people who find their soulmate. Who am I

Together, we hover above the nothingness of the world. Like dragonflies. This space away from our world is the space where we belong. Together.

Mars McKinney and Sage Emerson come from two different worlds. Mars grew up in a trailer park in Duncan with his alcoholic and abusive father. Sage comes from a very wealthy family from the affluent town called Ashton Hills. It would seem as though they have nothing in common but actually they were li

I have always been a sucker for love stories about young lovers from different worlds coming together against all odds. When a couple has to make sacrifices and fight for one another, it's guaranteed to make me root harder for their relationship. Throw in an extreme taboo element on top of that, and I'm even more intrigued.

After I learned that one of my favorite authors on the planet-along with another taboo queen- collaborated on such a book, I was sold!

Sage Emerson was raised in a privileged home, but she eschewed the snobby ways of her upbringing and just wanted to be herself. Shunned by her peers, Sage mostly finds solace by being alone and painting until a flirty barista captures her attention.

“We’re not pathetic,” she says primly. “We’re tough to put up with their shit. Survivors.”

Mars McKinney has known loss and pain since he can remember. As a teen, Mars got into trouble as a means of escape, but he learned his lesson and is

Another awesome book by K. Webster and even though I’ve never read coauthor Danielle James they made a good team.

This story was a sweet and emotional story more than I thought it would be. When I read the blurb I couldn’t help and think about Hale I thought maybe it would go in the same direction, but even though they’re both taboos this one was a more emotional version, which was good!

I was expecting more angst though since it’s taboo but it doesn’t mean the MC didn’t have to fight

I’ve heard about this book all day. Luckily I have a sister who loves reading as much as I do because I wasn’t planning to buy this on a site I wasn’t familiar with. I will admit I was curious. So, when my sister informed me she had purchased it, I dived in.

I was expecting so much more. Mainly a forbidden, taboo touch. Instead, it felt for

Sage and Mars come from opposite worlds - Sage's is full of expectations and privilege, Mars's is full of abuse and crime. Drawn together by an innocent and pure love they were able to find a common ground (apart from their dad he he) a certain peace if you'd call it within each other

It is devastating that they finally found that someone who brings the

I'll keep this short and sweet, I expected to get more scandalized by this book than I actually turned out to be. Now then, I don't know if I'm just desensitized to that shit, but "oh you're siblings? I don't care! Go ahead and have a nice fuck.", was not the reaction I wanted to have.

I mean Hale was more shocking. Hell I think the most taboo book by Kristi so far for me has been The Wild , even if the ending was a little disappointing.

So even after all that warning.. I

Mars and Sage have a forbidden love story but even more than that they have a beautiful, emotional story that I enjoyed so much!

This is the tale of the rich girl and the trailer park boy falling in love. Sage is a bit awkward, lonely and feels misunderstood. Her relationship with her mother is toxic and she never seems to measure up to her mother's expectations. Mars is the new barista at her college coffee shop, and when he asks her on a date, she is a bit surprised. Sage has some insecurity s

I have been in and out of the hospital these past few days due to health issues. . . while lying in my hospital bed I read a book. A book that will forever hold a special place in my heart. That is Like Dragonflies by K. Webster & Danielle James. First and foremost I will say this book is not for everyone . . . it's forbidden . . . Taboo . . . but it was a love story in the rawest form. If I could pick one word to describe this book, it would be . . . Enthralled.

Like Dragonflies is a taboo romance and blurs the lines or "right" and "wrong". The two main characters of the story are half siblings but don't realize this until AFTER they begin to fall in love. If this isn't your cup of tea, skip it. I just wanted readers to know what they are getting into before purchasing a copy (you cannot buy on amazon and instead can purchase from Eden books). I couldn’t put this baby down.

It’s true once I started, there was no stopping because from the first words I was all in. This one gave me everything my forbidden/taboo loving heart could ever want or need: sweet, swoon worthy moments, heartbreaking moments and even a few wanting to gut a few people with a spoon moments, that left me wanting more when there were no more words to be read.

I adored Mars and Sage. Mars has been beaten by the short end of the stick for his entire life

“When you’re surrounded by flowers, they lose their prettiness. Even flowers wish they could be dragonflies. And dragonflies wish they could be with flowers.” That is one of my favorite quotes from this beautiful, loving taboo story. Sage and Mars there chemistry lights a fire just by one look. Sage and Mars will steal your heart in this book and one point will keep you on the edge not wanting to let go. "Sage, you’re the only ray of sunshine in my world and I’d die before I give that up.”

Like Dragonflies is a read that will have you wondering how this unique love story turns out.
I loved Sage and loved Mars even more. I would have liked to read more around the ending of their stories since it did feel a little rushed but overall it was very well written.

I have loved and devoured all K. Webster's books.  No matter what she writes...twisted, dark, sexy or sweet, I am reading everything by her!

So when I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy of her collaboration with Danielle James, I knew was going to go down the rabbit hole yet again! This story is a fast paced, page turner that I couldn't put down until the very end.

These ladies do not disappoint, nor do they make the subject of the story, even though it's taboo, ugly or over done.  To me it wasn'

WOW! This is the first book I've read by K Webster and Danielle James. As a dual POV with two authors it is flawlessly put together and the authors' voices meld together so well in this story. The story is tight and well-paced, and the characters are well-developed and strong.
Both Mars and Sage are victims of their less than stellar parents and Fate, the cruel witch that she is. Their circumstances should keep them apart but love is stronger than Fate and crappy parents in this novel. I thorou

I loved this book, but I always love K Webster's books. She touches on subjects a lot of authors wouldn't touch but they are always well written. This book is about two people that find each other and fall hopelessly in love with each other despite people trying to keep them apart. Sage and Mars seem to be perfect for each other, they both have their own problems in their lives but always seem to be so happy when they are together. They are from different sides of the tracks but that doesn't mat ...more

This is the first collaboration between K Webster and Danielle James, and there is just one word to sum it up - Flawless. Both authors are experts in taboo gene and the ways they compliment each other ideas are simply beautiful. I just have one question though - why didn't this happen sooner?

This story is about love and bravery. Taboo? Sure. But are you going to let others tell you what to do or how to live your life? Or are you brave enough to venture into a whole new world with the person you
