Thomas O'Leary is used to being seen as 'bad news'. The O'Leary family doesn't have a great reputation around these parts, and by all accounts Thomas is just like them - a little rebellious, a little roguish, and a lot of trouble. No one would know that underneath that frank exterior is a devoted, faithful man with a heart of gold.

Michael Taggart may have grown up with a

MANY issues with this book that I just can not ignore for the sake of a good rating/review. A while ago, the Bates brothers used to be self published. They had their own little beta reading group. Their books were pretty good - except for the ridiculous amount of times they used "for crying out loud". Still drives me crazy, but I digress. It appears as though Aiden has now signed on to a publisher, not sure about Austin. I wish I could say that it has made Aiden's books even better, however, it' ...more

Good Backstory

The history of the town’s founders was cute. However, I kind of the figured out the “plot twist” early on. I really did not like how annoying Xander got about Thomas and Michael getting together. He was that annoying friend who is a new parent, who wants all of his friends married and knocked up. There were more spelling errors in this book than the previous ones. I still enjoyed the story though.

I have really enjoyed this series full of star crossed lovers finding their fate in Carter's Crossing.

This is just one more story to add to the list of great romances that started in this city.

Thomas and Michael's story comes from a Romeo and Juliet type background of warring families. And the romance is definitely worth the read.

Seriously. Hire an editor.

I guess this was the end of the series. Honestly, it was a let-down. Firstly, I was invested in these characters, having read the other four books. I just could not believe the spinelessness of Michael or the horribleness of his mother, especially since it seemed like there were no consequences for any of her actions. The endless rehashing of the land feud was boring. I struggled to finish this.

I cannot believe how awful the grammar is. The book reads like a first draf

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the fifth book in the Carter's Crossing series. In this book, Thomas O'Leary and Michael Taggart are dragged into the feud between their families about a piece of land that borders on both properties. Both Thomas's father and Michael's mother think they own the land and have been fighting in court for over three years. Michael goes along with his mother and continues to look for proof the land is theirs and together with Thomas, they search the ...more

This was definitely an improvement on the last book but is still not without it's flaws.

Like the other books, there were still inconsistencies. It felt like a constant theme connecting in this series. Not one book lined up completely with the next aside from books 1&2. By the time book 3 came along scenes and characters being rewritten or forgotten became a common occurrence.

This particular book's inconsistencies were minor considering very little was seen of previous characters in this book

Tom and Michaels family had been battling a lawsuit and had been at each others throats for years fighting over land they thought was rightful theirs. Michael and Thomas were suppose to be enemies but found each wrapped up in one another's arms far too many times. It was just suppose to be a few flings and nothing more and that was until Thomas fell pregnant and they both realized they wanted it to be more than that but their family would never accept it which meant their family would never acce ...more

Michael and Thomas are long time secret lovers - and Michael has a habit of not being there for Thomas when the rubber hits the road.

Thomas has developed a reputation as the town slut in the interim, but it was Michael who left Thomas behind when they swore to run away from their town and their families and related star crossed drama. Thomas was left broken hearten and very much alone.

With Michael returning and their parents stuck in a legal battle over land and boundaries, the two begin seeing

Two families feuding over some land the O’Leary’s and the Taggart’s in the small town called Carter’s Crossing in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I really liked this story about Michael and Thomas, Thomas was the talk of the town his family had a bad reputation so Thomas was given that title too, Michael grew up in a privileged life but he worked so hard for everything that he has he also plays even harder. Michael and Thomas have loved each other since school they plan to run away together but Michae ...more

Great Story about Rival Families

This was an interesting light mystery about two families fighting over who had the rights on a piece of land. The two families have been at it for years, like since around 1826 when the Charter house burned down and there weren’t any records to prove who owned the land.

Thomas and Michael were put in the middle. Having to help their own families to figure it out and find evidence, putting the two against each other. Which was uncomfortable for both

Thomas and Michael had been star-crossed for so long it almost seemed normal keeping so many secrets until there was one that was just too big to hide. Their families had been feuding for so many generations that keeping up the pretense was hard on their relationship when they didn't actually hate each other. When Michael still refused to stand up to his mother about Thomas, Thomas had to think really hard about whether or not to trust Michael. I laughed when Patrick had to basically keep from r ...more

Secrets, mystery, history, passion, ghosts, conflict and deep love. Oh i loved this new Carters Crossing story and the way the history of the town was told is just beautiful. It was wonderful to see past couples and watch them create a new future for this lovely community. Great story-line and the writing will keep you reading.

I loved the romance of gold rings, old houses, ghosts and stolen kisses. My heart hurt for the anger and bickering that kept these young men going through so much hurt.

Thomas was such a firecracker but also such a sweetheart, not that he shows it anyone. Michael was harder to pick but I'm glad I waited to see what he would show me. These two men come from feuding families which should have them be enemies but sometimes things are not as they seem.
I absolutely loved this book and they where a few parts that happened and had me so excited and happily calling out yes and omg how amazing is that. I can't tell you which bit because omg it needs to be expiranced for

Thomas wants to help his dad but he is getting so tired of this after three years, Most of his thoughts are on Michael. But Michael's mother is just as bad or worse then his dad. This is Book 5 in the Carter's Crossing series. This time we have Thomas and Michael, members of two hostile families feuding for centuries over a piece of land. The two of them were lovers, but secretly, because the families would never have allowed the two of them to be together; this story is a reflection of what happens to people in love when their families get in the way. This is a "history repeats itself" type of story, with a lot of mystery, sabotage, heartbreak and a profusion of emotion ...more

A great story of rival families whose children are having an affair. Thomas and Micahel have been seeing each other secretly but never make it official because their families have hated each other for years. They broke it off once because Michael wasn't willing to tell his family but now a few years later, they're back to seeing one another in secret as their families fight over land ownership. I really admire Thomas' strength and his willingness to face everything on his own so that Michael won ...more

I've really enjoyed this series, and how connected all the heroes are to each other. It really does give everything a small town feel, which is, of course, the whole point, but still.

Thomas and Michael belong to the feuding families of Carter's Crossing, but they didn't let that stop them when they were young. Of course, life caught up to them, and it did stop them, until it couldn't.

This is a rather sweet second chance romance. Or maybe third or fourth chance, because it's not easy on anyone i

Michael and Thomas are stuck in the middle of their parents feud over a piece of historical family land. The part that stinks is they have been in love with one another since they were in high school, and the family fight has kept them apart most of that time, They sneak around to be together and Thomas falls pregnant, now they have to find a way to break it to the families, and end the feud...

First off this story has ghosts! I love ghost stories even though this isn't strictly or specifically a ghost story. Thomas is a sweet Omega doing his best to be what his dad wants & expects. Michael is an Alpha doing his best to live up to his mother's expectations. A feud between their parents over a piece of land throws the two lovers back together again after being apart for 6 years. And with a little help from two ghosts they're able to end the family feud and find their own

We finally get the story of Carter's Crossing through the forbidden lovers story. And boy, both MC'S have a lot of family garbage to wade through because both sides can carry a grudge. This is such a fun way to work through a romance while figuring out a mystery that plagued both families for almost 200 years. The hiding, the lying, the ghosts, oh my! This was a soap opera in my head and worth every second I spent reading. I am glad to have been introduced to this family and the town. That was o ...more

This is very much the same vein as Romeo and Juliet. Two warring families and the children as star crossed lovers.

Hiding from the town and especially their parents, who are fighting in court for the strip of land between their two property’s. This is the 5th book of the Carter's Crossing series. This book is about the Taggart and O'Leary Family feud. We see that there are two caught in the middle. With a little bit like you cant have something you will go after it more. You see the building and tear down of Thomas and Michael relationship. Love the mystery within the story of who truly owns that feuding land. This was wonderful story written with that taboo of being caught by the feuding families. Highly recommend this book today an ...more
