Bryce and Kaegan were in love when they were teenagers and had been best friends since they were kids. But Kaegan had misunderstood what had happened one night and left town. When Bryce tried to tell him what had really happened he didn't want to hear it and took off with another woman for payback. Years later they are living back in their hometown and both still care for each other but not admitting it. They have the same circle of friends and they all want these 2 back together. Finding Home Again was one of my most anticipated reads for the month of October. I've been patiently waiting for Bryce and Kaegan's for a year now and I've been dying to know what the hell happened between these two all those years ago to make them hate one another so much. I was ready to get some answers and hoped that somehow Bryce and Kaegan would be able to work through their issues and fin

Bryce and Kaegan may have had a past but truly she should've left it there.
This was such a back and forth relationship that I darn near became nauseated.
The fact that the idea a woman needs a man for completion, should bare her soul for his attention, should lie down & have sex for nothing more than the thrill of the chase was sickening.
I love a strong hardy feminine character not one who wishes to be nothing more than 'eye candy' for another man.
Kaegan couldn't be bo

This is the story that I have been waiting for because for two books we watched the interaction between Bryce and Kaegan. Bryce is a town sweetheart and Kaegan was the kid with a hard past. The two of them bonded during the time Vashti was away but they also broke up under suspicious circumstances. You know from the start that the two of them are meant to be together; however, as the story progresses things are revealed and understandings come around. I think that the premis

And what a story it was. A second chance romance with a bit of a mystery that makes the couple face their issues and finally admit what they truly feel for each other.

FINDING HOME AGAIN is an intriguing second-chance romance read. Bryce and Kaegan were high school lovers who believed themselves to be soul mates. A misunderstanding broke them up and they have been separated- and hating each other- for 10 years. He is angry because he believes she cheated on him, and she is angry because he didn't trust her or even listen to the truth.

We also have Vashti from the previous books, who is featured as the voice of the reason in this one. She wants her t

Bryce and Kaegan friendship as children evolved into a love that they thought was invincible. They had plans for their happy ever after but a surprise visit by Kaegan leads to a confrontation that created such a rift between them that they wouldn’t see each other for ten years.

Kaegan has returned home and although he and Bryce didn’t want to see each other or drag up their painful past their friends weren’t about to let that happen. When the truth is revealed Kaegan wants a second ch

There were so many ways for this book to go wrong, but I think, if you can forgive the hero, it’s a really enjoyable, sweet read about second chances.

This book was unnecessarily long and frankly, uninteresting.

I love a good second chance romance. Even more so one where the characters have grown to dislike each other over the intervening years. When I read the blurb for this one, I had such high hopes that it would become a fast favorite. What it became was a huge disappointment.

Let's begin by talking about the little things that hopefully will be fixed before the book goes live, as I did review an advanced-reader-copy. Things that were dist

This is the third book in a series and it did take me a bit to get invested in the story. There was some background given regarding the other couples in the story, whose stories were told in the previous books, but I wish I had read them first. Having said that, once I got into the story, I did enjoy it a lot.

Bryce and Kaegan were in love when they were teenagers and had been best friends since they were kids. Once they became a couple, they were apart due to school and the armed for

Finding home again

**SPOILER ALERT***
Bryce and Kaegan’s story started 10 years ago when they were very young adults. Their story is the third story of the Catalina Cove series and it didn’t disappoint. The two ex lovers, ex friends appeared in the two previous books briefly and their loathing for each other was clear but the reasoning for the hate hate relationship was unclear. Kaegan thought he saw Bryce with another man the night he came back to the Cove to propose to a young Bryce. He was be

Bryce Witherspoon has loved Kaegan Chambray for as far back as she can remember, but as they got older, their relationship drifted over into relationship of the forever variety. However, crap hits the fan, and Kaegan isn't willing to trust Bryce enough to listen to her, and this is when the hatred for Kaegan started, because he was such a douche. Now there's only 10 years of hatred between the two, and while Bryce had every reason, Kaegan had none, especially since he seriously went out of his w ...more

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Romance (U.S. & Canada) and HQN for the advance reader copy, Finding Home Again by Brenda Jackson, in exchange for an honest review. I read the 2nd book in this Catalina Cove series first (I have not read the 1st, Love in Catalina Cove, but can’t wait to read about Vashti and her journey to love) and I was mesmerized by Brenda Jackson’s beautiful description of Catalina Cove; the sights, the sounds, the water, the beaches and the alluring weather. Everyone knows Bryce and Kaegan belong together but they both had a misunderstanding that lead to broken hearts. Its been 10 years since then and now that Kaegan is back to Catalina cover its hard for both to avoid each other. It seems though the heat between the two hasn't gone away but with time around eachother they just might have a second chance at things.

I love books that feature second chances at love. There is that time between things that makes both partners to have time to

This is my first read of the series but was very easy to jump into the story. That said, I had no vested interest in these characters as they were new to me.

There has been 10 years of misunderstanding between Kaegan and Bryce. They are frenimies at best. Mutual friends work hard to convince they to share their truths. I was a little underwhelmed by the reveal. I mean, they were both adults and had been best friends since kindergarten. It seemed silly for them not to talk th

Finding Home Again, written by Brenda Jackson was an okay read. The story was fast-paced and the character somewhat believable. The third book in the Catalina Cove series, which can be read as a standalone. Find Bryce Witherspoon trying to move on from her relationship from Keagan. She still doesn’t know why Keagan broke it off with her, but when he returns to Catalina Cove old feels started to reemerge, though she denies it to herself and others.

Fans of Brenda Jackson's Catalina Cove series have been anticipating this story which follows high school sweethearts and seemingly sworn enemies Bryce and Keagan. We've seen them pop up in the two previous books and I, for one, have been waiting to read more about their past.

It pains me to say this but I was quite disappointed with this novel. With such buildup, I guess I had high expectations but was left feeling underwhelmed while reading. We get the history of these two and find out why the

Wonderful story of love, betrayal, lies, and second chances.
What would you do if you found your best friend and the love of your life in the arms of someone else? Well for Kaegan the answer was simple, walk away and never talk to her again.
Bryce and Kaegan had been best friends since first grade, and in high school moved into the realm of lovers. Through her college and his military time they continued the romance with the intention of marrying and starting a family in the future. When Ka

dnf @ 21%. I had such high hopes for this Brenda Jackson book. At 6/7% the plot was pretty much laid out, the misunderstandings and the wrongs explained. None of this faffing around with past and present scenes. I liked that. I hate when authors start prolonging and teasing us about something in the past only for the unveiling to lead to a feeling of let down. I thought great now its only going to be about the relationship going forward. Unfortunately by this stage I had taken a dislike to both ...more

Second Chance At Love

I'm so glad that the truth came out on what really happened ten years ago that caused Kaegan to end his and Bryce's relationship and that he didn't stop until he won back her heart, trust, and love. Kaegan and Bryce's attraction to each other never left and they enjoyed exploring the changes in each other's bodies. I don't know what Jeremy had going on inside his head stalking Bryce when she really didn't lead him on but I'm glad he didn't get to do harm to her. I love the

Bryce Witherspoon and Kaegan Chambray seems like that can't stand each other. Ten years of antagonism towards each other still does not remove the heat that is still there -- whether they want to admit it or not.

The relationship between Bryce and Kaegen has been a thread through the other books in this series. Formerly high school sweethearts, Bryce and Kaegan had a falling out when he misinterpreted something he saw without talking to her about it. But after about fifty page, he's discovered his mistake and is ready to make it work.
That man did NOT do enough groveling in this book. Ten years of attitude and he is just like, "Oh no, I was wrong. Oh well, we should get back together."Frankly, their

It was great to get the reason behind Bryce and Kaegan's hostility towards each other. Young lovers broken up due to a major misunderstanding, jumping to conclusions and lies. After finding out the truth behind and how wrong he was 10 years ago Kaegan is determined to win back Bryce's heart and love forever. Awesome Story

Brenda Jackson did her best writing, again !!! I'm never disappointed when reading one of her novels. The storyline was par excellent. I love how characters from the other novels in the sequence of stories appear and their stories are continued. The added element of drama and suspense made this novel that much more of a page turner. The only thing I absolutely hate about Brenda Jackson novels is that they come to an end. For this novel, I wanted it to keep going so I could find

Kaegan & Bryce were friends whose friendship turned into a romance until stubbornness, pride & a misunderstanding broke them apart. Now, they are both back in their hometown & doing the best to ignore each other.

This was a "friends to lovers too enemies to ..." kind of book. There was back and forth between the main characters that spanned decades and covered so many life experiences, changes, struggles and showed you how one misunderstanding can change your whole life. I read this story in one day; it was the type of story that pulled me in and was easy to read.
