“you want to nudge people into socially desirable behavior, do not, by any means, let them know that their current actions are better than the social norm.” –Richard H. Thaler, Nudge: Improving Decisions About Health, Wealth, and Happiness

Contains 21 chapters plus an Epilogue. Rating: Risqué at best, not graphic but sexually suggestive and a bit bawdy.

We begin our story with the Bennet sisters leaving Netherfield after Jane’s illness. From then on, canon was tossed on its ear. As Charles and Darcy watched the carriage take their ladies away, Caroline began fretting over her brother’s infatuation with Miss Bennet and Mr. Darcy’s interest in a pair of ‘fine eyes and impertinent behavior.’ She was determined to secure Mr. Darcy and the upcoming ball seemed like a good opportunity. When her sister asked how she intended to do that… Caroline responded with, ‘I plan to compromise Mr. Darcy.’

“So to put it simply, forcing people to choose is not always wise, and remaining neutral is not always possible.” –Richard H. Thaler, Nudge:

Caroline had a plan and at its completion, she would be engaged to Mr. Darcy, whether he wanted it or not. And, she would be the future Mistress of Pemberley. Oh, how well that sounded. Or would she? What could possibly go wrong? Bet she wishes she hadn’t insulted her sister and disrespected her husband, Mr. Hurst. Yep, the best-laid plans… and all. For, you see, Sister Hurst had a different set of plans in mind. Little did she know that Mr. Hurst was working on a set of plans of his own. Oh-My-Goodness. I just loved this guy. He was so funny.

Wickham had arrived in Meryton, joined the Militia, and wasted no time spewing forth his lies regarding Darcy’s foul treatment of him regarding the living. He was surprised when Caroline Bingley approached him regarding a job for her brother’s ball. He was especially intrigued when he learned it was one in which she was willing to pay. You know… this was a story in which our resident villain Wickham wasn’t such a SBRB… in fact, he was just a nuisance, but hilarious, none the less. As we learned more and more about him and his antics… we find that he had been very busy indeed. I just shook my head. LA!

Then Lady Catherine arrived after receiving an express from Collins [yeah, he was there causing trouble]. Oh, I just adored this Lady Catherine. OMG! Did I just say that? Yes, I did. It is always a surprise when we have a funny Lady Catherine. This lady was a wit and had a vicious tongue with no filter. She had Caroline Bingley in her sites and that young lady did not know how to handle her. It was an absolute scream… risqué as all get out but hilarious. I loved that part. Don’t try to eat or drink anything as you read the last few chapters. LOL!! I was laughing my head off [especially when I discovered how Mr. Collins got the living at Hunsford]. Then we had Lady Catherine’s frank discussion with the ladies… I may have bruised a rib laughing so hard. OMG!! What a story! I loved it in spite of the editing problems, and the strange sentence structure. I’m still giving it 5-stars just for the sheer enjoyment it brought.

A conniving woman's grasping plot leads to the most delicious turn of events for several people in this fun Pride and Prejudice variation romp.

A bit of Twelfth Night mischief has taken over the characters of P&P and the Netherfield Ball becomes the setting of great hilarity and mayhem. It all begins when Caroline Bingley determines to entrap, Fitzwilliam Darcy, a man who has his eyes set on quite another woman. Her sister, Louisa has stood her bitter, demanding behavior long enough so determines to teach Caroline a lesson. Only, Louisa couldn't have predicted the romantic romp that would ensue.

I had a good time seeing so many surprise twists for Austen's characters in this light, quickly read low angst, slightly racy romcom.

Unpublished JAFF. Miss Bingley plans a compromise but the Hursts make some changes so it doesn't go as expected. I liked the humor in this one.
