Ryan Harding. He’s running royalty. The guy I’ve been following online since I started this sport. Sure, I’ve got a crush on him, but so does nearly every other runner in the country. I’m an unknown in this world, it’s not like the prince of distance running is ever going to notice me, which is for the best. I’ve been down this road once before with the Mr. Perfect type, a ...more

I read half of the Pepper Winters series by Ali Dean a few years ago and enjoyed it, so when I saw she came out with a new book, Chasing Indigo, I figured I would give it a shot. I was surprised to learn that it's a standalone spinoff of that series, and the hero of the book is one of the secondary characters from it. Not only that, but the hero and heroine of that series, Pepper and Jace, also make appearances throughout the story. Catching up with them was great, and it made me move the rest o ...more

Ever since I read this author’s Pepper Jones series, I fell in love with all the characters. And, of course, Ryan too, because he is everyone’s sweetheart. He’s that sweet guy that even though you dated, will always be a close friend.
For those who read the Pepper Jones series know that Ryan and Pepper dated for a while before Jace opened his eyes and saw what was right in front of him. That time they were together, I just fell in love with Ryan. Even tough I was #TeamJace, I was rooting for a ha

What I love most about Ali is the reality of her stories! Each book is full of characters you can’t help but relate to and love! From their personalities to their life situations you can’t help but feel their bond and friendships! Time and time again I find myself getting sucked in and with each book I feel like I’m catching up with old friends! This amazing group of characters is amazing and I love that we are seeing more of them and getting their stories!

From the first Pepper Jones novel I ins

I absolutely loved this book. It stole my Sunday afternoon but it was well worth it. It was great seeing Ryan find his girl. Indy was another great female lead character. It was great to see her confidence growing throughout this book. Glad I never had an Olivia on any team of mine. I am always looking forward to Ali’s next book.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

Fantastic, new-adult, sports romance

Twenty-five-year-old Ryan Harding is an Olympic-caliber runner who is the top American distance runner. His father is a famous, University of Colorado running coach, and Ryan is following in his father's footsteps, creating a brand-new running team in the fictional small city, Brockton, Colorado, near Denver, where Ryan has lived the past eight years since his senior year in high school. With his father's input and support, Ryan has brought together a small, t

As soon as I read the blurb, I knew I had to read this book. Then it sucked me in with the first chapter. I loved how Indie was humble and Ryan was a sweetheart. There was a ton of tension in this book between their relationship, an ex, and her teammates. I didn't want it to end. I hope this is the beginning of a series, because I loved reading about these characters.

Ali Dean does it again. Bringing us into Ryan's world and showing us more of what we loved about him from Pepper's books. She introduced us to Indigo Adams, who is new to the running world. The connection the two main characters share is instantaneous. They make you fall into the running world and you just want to be apart of it. Ryan and Indigo both grow in this book and the ending is perfect.

Okay, so, I always liked Ryan Harding more than Jace. 🙈 Don’t hate me. Ryan goes after what he wants. And he wants Indigo! I was always a bit salty because I wanted Pepper with Ryan, but now I’m happy that Ali Dean knows her characters better than I do. Because Indigo is much better for him.

He was swoony, possessive, sexy, athletic, and I just kept visualizing him in athletic shorts. I die. Also, in grey sweat pants. What is it about grey sweats? Phew! It’s hot over here!

Indigo is new to us, w

Ali Dean's "Chasing Indigo" is a spin-off of the Pepper Jones series. Of the characters in Pepper Jones, Ryan Harding has always been a darling to me and following his life in "Chasing Indigo" is the food my soul needed!

Ryan is out of college and is beginning to demonstrate his coaching abilities at the beginning of the novel. While at a race, the reader is immediately informed that Ryan still keeps in touch with Pepper and Jace Wilder; but it is a newcomer who catches his attention - Indigo Ad

I think this book deserves two reviews, for newcomers and established fans.

First, for newcomers, this is a wonderful read which totally stands alone, has wonderful characters, great writing and a wonderful plot with a thoroughly satisfying HEA. Really, the only downside is that you’ll want more (even though the tale is totally complete) as the book is simply too much fun. Don’t worry though as this book is actually a spin off of the author’s fantastic Pepper Jones series, the star of which is P

I absolutely loved this story!!! It was a fantastic read! It pulled me in from beginning to end. The characters are very well written and relate able. This is a stand alone book though it is a spin off from the Pepper Jones series. This takes place after that series and does stand on its own. If you've read that series though, you will know some of the characters from this one. I loved Ryan and getting to know him so much better. Ryan and Indigo pull you in from the very beginning. I was drawn into the world of running with this story. I am not a runner, nor am I a super sports fan. I knew nothing about the pro running or the competitiveness of it. None of that mattered. Ali Dean does an amazing job at drawing the reader into this world. You really do not need to know anything about it in order to read the story.

For Indy, being able to run, is her life. She's been burned badly by a past relationship and is distrustful of men around her. After winning a half marathon, she

Review is coming!I just read two back to back books with rock stars in them so it was time to read something different so it was time to jump into the world of runners. The only other books I have read with runners in it was the Pepper Jones series by this author. If you read that series then you have met Ryan already. If you haven't read don't worry about it because Chasing Indigo in a standalone read. When I first met Ryan in Pepped Up I so wanted him to be the one for Pepper but that didn't h ...more

Ali Dean masters the craft of writing relatable and likeable characters. When Ryan Harding was introduced in the Pepper Jones series, I always hoped that he would get his own book. Luckily, Ali blessed us with this and it completely met all of my expectations and then some. Ryan and Indigo challenge each other in a way that is refreshing, believable and entertaining. Their personalities are endearing and you can’t help but love them both. You also get a feeling of the passion that burns between ...more

Love love love this book! I was completely addicted from the first page! You get a taste of romance, suspense, jealousy, and passion. Those are just a few to name, but much more goes on within this book.

Watching Indigo transform into the person she really wanted to be was incredible. She overcame the challenges that faced her and achieved the goals she made.

And of course we can’t forget about Ryan. He makes a point to not only help Indigo achieve her goals but he also finds himself in the proc

Advance reader copy received for review. All thoughts and views expressed are entirely my own.

I loved Ryan in the Pepper Jones books and was so thrilled he was getting his own book. However, as likable as Ryan and Indigo are, there wasn't much else that kept me glued to the book. It's an easy read, but it's not gripping. There's chemistry, but it's not electric. The story is interesting, but somewhat predictable. This is my eleventh Ali Dean book and her only book that I've had such a lukewarm r

A must-read for Pepper Jones series fans!

I absolutely loved this book! When I first found out about this spin-off to tell Ryan's POV, I was unsure of how it was going to go especially as Jace & Pepper truly are the cutest book couple. After I read the first chapter though, I became hooked on the plot line and slowly began to cheer on Ryan finding someone perfect for him. One thing I loved about the book was how the plot line follows a similar one as Pepped & Wilder, so the reader does get a chan

This book was absolutely wonderful! A perfect follow up to the Pepper Jones which was my favorite series read this year. We were left with the question, does Ryan get his own HEA. Well, Indy was perfect for him. I admit that I didn't love Indy from the start, mostly due to her skeptical attitude but she grew on me and I enjoyed her character development. I already knew Ryan so well from Pepper Jones and he was his amazing self in this book. I recommend reading Pepper Jones first even though its ...more

You don’t have to read it before reading this book, but I highly recommend you do. Not for back story, just because it is AMAZING! I am very wary of spin-offs for series that I love. This one did not disappoint. The real star of this book is Indigo. I know it is a stand alone spin-off but I really enjoyed it and her. Some plot lines were reminiscent of the Pepper series, but overall, so good. I was definitely rooting for Indigo the whole book, and I really loved spending time with the Brockton Beasts (even if the name was a bit cringey).

I love a good sports romance, and Chasing Indigo was great! I had never read a running romance and I loved that It was the chosen sport. I felt like we got a real look into the world of training for long distance running.
I liked that the whole focus of the book wasn’t on Indigo & Ryan’s relationship. I thought we got to see Indigo’s progression of not believing in herself to her acceptance that she was actually an elite runner.
I also liked that there were a couple aspects of drama that moved t

Ali Dean did it again! I absolutely LOVED the Pepper Jones series so I was so excited to see that Ryan was going to get his own book! The chemistry between Indigo and Ryan is perfect! Has just the right amount of drama and honestly is the “cherry on top” to a great world of characters! I love that the epilogue was years down the road so I had a visual of what life for the characters would be

I would definitely recommend this book, even if the person hasn’t read the Pepper Jones series.

If I could give this book a billion stars, it wouldn't be enough to describe how great this storyline and writing is. I have always loved Ryan Harding much like Indigo Adams. I am so glad that he got his own book. He was everything I want in a book boyfriend! Ali does a great job writing sports romance novels. The characters are truly athletes and the sport aspect is carried throughout the book. My only complaint is that the story ends too soon.

This was a fantastic ride. I love all of Ali´s books but since to this point I loved the Pepper series the most. I never thought that she could do it again. But she did it. She really surprised me with this one. It was that good! I honestly couldn't put it down and read it all at once! It has everything that you need in a book in that genre. Friendship, jealousy, love and a plot that will get you hooked. You're not going to regret if you buy this one!

This is my first time reading a book by Ali Dean and it sure won't be the last! I loved her writing, and the connection between Indigo and Ryan and what I loved particularly was how realistic her book was!

Another fabulous Ali Dean story. Indigo was intriguing from the beginning and I quickly found myself rooting for her in all area of her life. I loved reading how Indy was able to strive through her rough background in a way that felt honest and real. Having the gang from Pepped Up is always a HUGE bonus! Although I was really excited to see if Ryan got his HEA, I’ve was even happier for Indigo.
