Nobody does royal romance or Christmas like Hallmark! Enjoy the enchanting original novel from Lizzie Shane.

Jenny knows she isn’t the princess type. Sure, she’s friendly and caring, but with her clumsiness and lack of self-confidence, glass slippers would only make her trip. When Dom, the cute guy she runs into in the park, turns out to be the prince of San Noelle, she

I loved this book! It is a heartwarming Christmas romance and a must-read for fans of the Hallmark channel. The writing is excellent and I fell in love with the beautiful country of San Noelle. Jenny and Dom had wonderful chemistry together and I enjoyed reading about them. I really liked Jenny as the main character. She's lovely, relatable, and very kindhearted but her lack of self-confidence prevents her from seeing just how incredible of a person she's truly is. Thankfully, her best friend, ...more

Ahhh! I adored everything about this. It's perfect Hallmarky Christmas goodness! Plus, I am always a sucker for a royal romance and this definitely didn't disappoint. Honestly, a rescue pup named Prince Harry?? YES, PLEASE. I do hope this gets adapted for film. It would be a great addition to Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas line-up. I was so looking forward to reading this, and I loved it even more than I thought I would. It's the perfect Cinderella Christmas story.

A Royal Christmas Wish
By: Lizzie Shane

I'll admit it-I watch Hallmark Christmas movies, and I genuinely enjoy them, too! Why wouldn't I? Do I want to live in a world where wishes come true and happily ever after does exist? Yes, please! A Royal Christmas Wish is all of these things in book format. Plain, clumsy, good hearted Jenny lacks self confidence and is unsure where her
What a fun book! Jenny James is a Just Jenny one day and she wakes up in a different situation the next. Living in New York City with her best friend, Margo, Jenny does odd jobs to make her rent. One of the jobs is a volunteer dog walker and her favorite is Prince Harry, a dog with a great personality and red fur. While walking Prince Harry in Central Park one day, she literally knocks down an handsome jogger named Dom, a very likable fellow. Later on that night, she is serving at a charity ...more

A Royal Christmas Wish is published by Hallmark, and it is, unashamedly and delightfully, a pure sugary fluffy candyfloss confection of a romance. I was mentally casting Kat Dennings as Jenny, a broke part-time waitress and dog-walker with dreams of being Something One Day, and Tom Hiddleston as the European prince she literally collides with one day in Central Park.

There’s an actual fairy godmother, magical Christmas wishes, a romance that’s almost tooth-rottingly sweet and at the heart, a

Who says wishes don’t come true?

The perfect and yes, predictable and cheesy story of a girl who is down on her luck trying to make it in Manhattan when she suddenly collides into a handsome man who she later finds out is a prince. The best thing ever to read before the Holiday Season begins

If the spinning snowflake bracelet fits, watch out for mistletoe.

Told in first person, Lizzie Shane’s “A Royal Christmas Wish” is an enchanting holiday tale. In it, clumsy caterer, volunteer animal shelter aide, dog walker, and aspiring editorial assistant Jenny James Monteville has but one wish in life: to kiss the man of her dreams under a mistletoe. That “kiss” is to keep her family’s tradition alive. Easier said than done, though, for this awkward Iowan and recently-planted New York City gal

Wow. NOT what I expected and that is a good thing! It may be too early for Christmas for some, but don't let that deter you from checking out this book.

Jenny is trying to find her place in the world in terms of her professional and love life. When she meets a prince from San Noelle, her life takes a very exciting turn full of wishes, exploring year-round and what it truly means to be a princess.

I found "Just Jenny" so relatable with trying to figure out your place in the world and trying to be

This was a different, totally delightful Christmas tale. To be honest I started this book thinking, "Eh, another prince book". However, this one is different. Ms. Shane has thrown in a mysterious woman who has granted Jenny a wish to have a fairy-tale Christmas. She wants "The whole Cinderella deal. To be the princess and go to the Christmas Ball in a beautiful kingdom and dance with the prince who falls madly in love with me and kisses me beneath the mistletoe."

Cinderella gets a makeover just in time for Christmas. A Royal Christmas Wish uses humor and heart to inspire hope. Part fairytale fantasy, part reality check, Jenny and Dom are a reminder that true beauty is never perfect. Flaws and all, Shane pulls out all the stops to captivate hearts and dole out wisdom with a simply marvelous feel good holiday romance.

It’s been a while since I recommended a book as a “must-read” and that’s precisely what I’ll be doing for A Royal Christmas Wish. A truly feel-good festive novel!

It was such great fun to read about Jenny’s journey to self-empowerment. She’s a lovely, relatable character but must learn how to overcome her crippling lack of confidence and sense of purpose. A bit clumsy but a very generous soul, self-proclaimed “Just Jenny” sees her world turned upside down when she crosses paths with a real

I can only say I loved the whole story. I love the season and therefore I could feel the spirit of Christmas in every single chapter. It was a tale of Christmas warming your heart. Modern Cinderella story mixed with season movie. The kind which let you believe in a magic of Christmas again. The kind which shows that kindness and togetherness are more worth than any expensive present you can get. That Christmas is for everyone and that people and wishes matter.

The book was beautifully written und

A Surprisingly Lovely Fairy Tale Romance

If you are one who enjoys those Christmas TV romances that involve fake royalty but are just delightfully sweet, this book from an imprint that puts out those kinds of movies may very well pull you away from the TV and into a book. I found this novel to be that kind of sweet and charming. You do have to accept, especially at the beginning, that there is perhaps a little more melodrama in this story compared to more realistic Christmas romances. This has a

Oh yes, it most certainly is the most wonderful time of the year (even though Christmas is still months away - but it's on its way!) because all of these lovely Christmas books are coming in! And to be honest, almost no one does Christmas like Hallmark, and that extends to their books too!

A Royal Christmas Wish, as cheesy as the title may sound, was a wonderful wintery, warm and of course Christmassy novel, that would be perfect to read as December rolls around. The story centres on "just

I loved this book! When I first started reading I thought here we go with the whole common girls runs into a Prince and then she falls in love with him and they end up getting together. So not the case with this one. Lizzie Shane gave us such a great story with a very nice twist to it! Once I started reading this book I could not put it down. I had to know how everything ended for Jenny as soon as I could.

Jenny is a young lady that is trying to make a go at living in NYC and supporting herself.

Thank you to @netgalley & @hallmarkpublish for allowing me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Disclaimer: One of my favorite plots to any book or movie is commoner to royal. Add in Christmas and it’ll be hard for me not to absolutely love it. All opinions are of my own. I gave it a 5 rating!

We follow a young woman, Jennifer, who is struggling to find herself in NYC until she makes a Christmas wish that ultimately changes her life forever.

I don’t often use the “must-read” recommendation on my reviews. It always sounds so hyped up and not every story is to every reader’s liking so I hesitate to say that… However. If you love Christmas Romance, a touch of magic, the feeling of being right there in the book itself, a strong but gentle message of self-empowerment for women, and a couple who (fate or not) were meant to be with each other — then, yes, A ROYAL CHRISTMAS WISH is a “must-read” romance for you!

In A Royal Christmas Wish by Lizzie Shane you meet Jenny, or as she comes to call herself, Just Jenny. Aimless Jenny with the perfect sisters and their perfect careers and families. What does Jenny want to do with her life? She keeps bombing her interviews and I’d like to think she’s self-sabotaging (been there, done that!) because she isn’t quite sure where exactly her path leads. The one bright spot in her life is a shelter dog she visits (and wishes should adopt) by the joyful name of Prince ...more

With great heart and gentle humor, author Lizzie Shane waved her writer's wand and created a charming, entertaining contemporary fairy-tale romance. "A Royal Christmas Wish" features a perfectly imperfect heroine whose very imperfections give her character an irresistible appeal. Jenny James just can't seem to find her place in life, and her lack of self-confidence is one of the major stumbling blocks in her way. Jenny and her best friend Margo had moved to New York after graduation with big ...more

When the name Hallmark Publishing is mentioned, enough said. You can bet your bottom dollar you’re about to delve into a sweet, heart warming, flirty romantic read. With it’s Cinderella-ish type theme, that is exactly what you get here, folks. This book unfolds just like you would expect if aired in full production on the Hallmark Channel. Honestly, that’s all you really need to know about this sugary sweet, squeaky clean, Christmas romance themed story line.

I thought to myself for a quick second "is it too early to read Christmas books?". What was I thinking? It's never too early. Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I always look forward to watching Hallmark movies and now I get to read stories that have the classic Hallmark signature to them.

Hallmark truly does Christmas the right way for romance lovers. A Royal Christmas Wish was a magical Cinderella story about finding love and self-discovery.

"For my entire life , I'd been looking for that magical thing that was going to make me feel like I was good enough, that status I could hold up and say See? I'm not Just jenny. But when I'd been a princess, I'd realised that no status or title all on it's own could make a difference in how I felt about myself. Those external things can't make you feel worthwhile if you don't feel it inside. I had to know I was worthy. Nothing was going to make me that way. I had to be the princess inside."

When I read the first chapter or two of this book in Buzz Books 2019: Romance, I was hooked and immediately requested the full book from Harlequin thru Netgalley. I loved every word of this book and did not want to put the book down to deal with "life" things. Then one day while playing with her favorite shelter dog in the park, Jenny literally runs into a real ...more

This is a charming modern day fairytale that, like all the best fairytales, has a “fairy godmother” (or is she a Christmas elf?) who grants Christmas wishes to those selected by a mysterious process. In this story, the unlikely candidate is Jenny. Jenny always introduces herself, as “Just Jenny”. She wants to find a great career in New York City, but has trouble showing confidence in job interviews or taking in chances. As Jenny and an adorable dog named Prince Henry literally collide with a ...more

A Royal Christmas Wish, to me, is Cinderella visits Santa and asks for a wish! It was a fun, touching, wonderful holiday story with an HEA made for a princess. Yes, I liked and yes, it made me feel like I was living a fairy tale.

Jenny James is interviewing for a job in New York City. She is moonlighting as a catering server and the job of the hour is for a holiday party…dressed as an elf. The author weaves a much better telling of this than I can but there you go. Her job interview takes on a

Lizzie Shane brings us Jenny and Dom. Just Jenny doesn't think much of herself. She hasn't quite figured out what she wants to do with herself, and seems to be on a series of job interviews that just don't work out. Her best friend/roommate is getting married soon, and Jenny's not sure how she will afford rent with her odd jobs. After another flop of an interview, Jenny decades to spend some time with Prince Harry, her favorite rescue dog where she volunteers. It didn't take long to be pulling for Jenny. She was a lovely main character. She didn't give herself much credit for the kind, giving, loving person that she was. She would give people the shirt off her back if she could. All she saw was how she was lacking in physical grace and direction. Good thing her BFF Margo, saw all her goodness and was the first one to lovingly give her reality checks. She was a great cheering squad all on her own.
