A bite-sized collection of more than 170 quotes by and about the Fab Four from Liverpool.
You say you want a revolution? The Beatles created one, unleashing a fan frenzy with their music and style. Beatlemaniacs will love this collection of quips from the band, their collaborators, and others. The quotes range from John’s “I’d like to say thank you on behalf of the group and ourselves, and I hope we passed the audition,” to Paul’s “There are only four people who knew what the Beatles were about anyway.”
Hardly worth commenting on as it only took me an hour to read! However it's always great to be reminded of the wit of Lennon, the honesty of McCartney and Harrison and the down to earthness of Ringo.
Well, I don't care, I liked it. We had a Beatles fan club with pictures from Sixteen Magazine and Tiger Beat. If someone can't remember where s/he was when Kennedy was shot, or the night the Beatles were on Ed Sullivan... well. Sharpies are wonderful inventions for redacting Putin comments.....if one is so inclined (BTW)
In theory I would’ve given it five stars just because it’s The Beatles... but the book itself got faults; same quote was featured twice and there’s a quote by Vladimir Putin... and it’s just... laughably horrible.
