“Maybe it’s just pregnancy hormones but I really want to lick him.”

I've ended up in a huge mess... my ex-boyfriend Jimbo wasn’t the dark soul with a heart of gold I thought he was. He knocked me up and then knocked me about. And when he tells me that I can’t keep the baby, it’s time to get out of Seattle.

A fainting episode in a gas station in the Arizona desert leads me to

Cowboy Baby!

“Tie Me Down” is a quick, fun, sizzling insta-lust/love romance with a twist… the heroine is five months pregnant and on the run. Fleeing a violent domestic abuse relationship, Alana’s escape ends at a gas station in the Arizona desert. Fainting from the heat, Lawson is driven to rescue the expectant mother, spiriting her away to the safety of Lawson’s family ranch, where things really heat up between the main characters. Professionally written and fast-paced, Alana is a quick witted

THE COUNTRY RANCHER AND THE CITY GIRL

Once again, Ms. Katie Douglas has entertained me with a wonderful story, and I loved the chemistry between Lawson and Alana. This is the first book in the Arizona Heat series, but it reads well as a stand-alone.

Alana has escaped her ex-con boyfriend, Jimbo, after he beat her up when she refused to get rid of his baby, she is carrying. She left Seattle in his car and is hoping to get to New Mexico. Stopping at a gas station in Arizona, she is stressed, tired,

Tie Me Down is the first book in the Arizona Heat series. Alana is on the run from her abusive ex when she stops for gas in Arizona and faints. Lawson is there and immediately takes action, bringing her to his ranch, wanting to protect Alana and her unborn baby. Their attraction is immediate, their connection building quickly, but can they keep each other safe from the dangers of her past?

This couple is so fun together, as they laugh, play, and joke through what life throws their way. But I als

4 Stars!

Katie Douglas is a brand spanking new author for me and what a sweet, easy, steamy book this was. Tie Me Down was a fast read that had me glued to the pages and racing to the end to see how everything was going to play out.

From the moment they see each other at that gas station, they have no idea everything is about to change. She's on the run, desperate for safety, and very pregnant with a nasty ex to boot. He's a single, dominant cowboy running a ranch with his brothers after suffering

A great combination of sweet and sexy, Tie Me Down really had me hooked at the start. I went back and forth a lot on my feelings with this one. I loved the immediate connection Lawson and Alana had. From the second he finds her the sweetness just pours off the pages right along with the sparks that are flying between them. Based on that alone Lawson is definitely a king of swoon.
But as sweet as they were their story felt so rushed. Everything was moving at lightening speed right from the get go

Alana is pregnant and on the run from her abusive boyfriend…
Alana easy running for her own safety and sanity also she was running for the precious baby she carried inside her womb, her ex-boyfriend Jimbo had decided to kill the baby by beating her black and value, but no more now she was responsible for another life and nothing and no one would ever hurt them again.

For the most part I enjoyed this read. It was a really quick read that I got through in less than an evening.

Lawson was a sweetheart - hardworking, considerate and, lets face it, hot as the Arizona sun, he was a man who wanted to fix things for people and protect those he cared about.

Alana was in self-preservation mode literally running for her life - following some less than perfect for her life choices - when she first encountered a sexy cowboy at an Arizona gas station, but even though he wa

There was quite a lot to like about this book. I liked the story idea. I found the pregnant, on the run heroine and the protective, cowboy hero appealing. I did not like the length of this book. I thought that these characters and their romance deserved time to grow realistically. I did not go into reading this as an insta-lust/love story and considering the subject matter; I found it hard to believe Alana would be so open and trusting considering what she has been through and the very small amo ...more

Alana was living with her boyfriend, and ex-con, who she thought she could change. Turned out he didn't want change, he was happy with the type of life he'd always lived. And he didn't want the baby she was carrying, that's why he beat her with the intentions of her miscarrying. That's why she ran from Seattle, Washington to Snake Eye, Arizona. She was on her way to New Mexico when she stopped for gas but and was so over taken by past events, emotions, and heat she passed out right there in the ...more

Alana is pregnant and on the run from her boyfriend who beat her on learning about her pregnency.
After Alana collapses at the local petrol station Lawson (who along with his brothers runs the local ranch), picks Alana up and insists she come home with him to recover.
As this book is quite short everything happens way too fast for me.
As someone who has just left an abusive partner I don't think Alana would go with Lawson quite so easily and i'd like to think she wouldn't be wandering around comman

Katie Douglas is an author I'm definitely going to keep my eye on!

Tie Me Down was the perfect afternoon read. I quickly fell in love with Alana and Lawson. Both reminded me of people I've crossed paths with at some point in my life and their story is one that held lots of emotion. Alana was on the run from an abusive boyfriend. Alone, short on cash, and pregnant, she stumbles into the care of Lawson. Lawson, such a hottie, is the kind of guy you'd want your daughter to hook up with. The connecti

Alana is on pregnant, and on the run, when Lawson literally finds her flat on her face at a gas station, as she's fainted from the heat. He decides to take her to his ranch, and the rest is history as they say. See, he's a good guy, and once he hears her story, he can't help but take care of her, but it ends up being more, as they have an instant connection, because her submissiveness calls to his dominant spirit. It turns to some super sexy times that really heats that air conditioned ranch hou ...more

Katie Douglas is a new to me author and I enjoyed this book.

Alana is pregnant and running away from her life in Seattle. She wants something better for herself and for her unborn child. What she doesn’t expect is to faint at a gas station in Arizona. Lawson just happens to be at the right place at the time and has a knack for helping people. What happens when he takes in a pregnant stranger?

This is a quick read but there is a lot of drama and steaminess packed into. Katie Douglas doesn’t shy awa

Alana is pregnant and running away from her abusive ex-boyfriend. During a stop a gas station in Arizona she faints and there she meets the handsome and helpful Lawson. What begins as an unplanned rest stop ends with Lawson taking her in and their chemistry taking off.

This was a fun quick read by Katie Douglas. I love insta-lust stories and Lawson and Alana had it in spades. Their chemistry practically made my kindle give off sparks or maybe it was their red-hot passion from the very start. I e

A quick read with a lot of steam. Pregnant and running, Alana is trying to make it as far away from her ex as she can. When she pulls into a gas station, she faints and Lawson is there to help her. He and his brother take her to his ranch where he takes care of her. He makes sure that she sees a doctor and has a safe place to stay.
The book takes place in the span of a week, but their chemistry and attraction can't be denied. As things progress quickly for them, her past finds her present and L

Who is Alana? What does she do for a living? Where do we find her and why? What state do we find her in? Who is Jimbo? Who are Lawson, Jake, and Clay? This was a sweet story until some really odd things started happening at Lemon Tree Ranch, or as Lawson called it, Casa Nova. Such a fun read! You have to read to see how the ranch got it's name. I cannot wait until Make Me Stay comes out in April.

I really liked this book. It's about Alana and her escaping a bad situation and driving to Arizona. There at the gas station in Snake Eye, Arizona she passes out. Lawson happens to be a the same gas station and sees Alana passout. He is freaking out because he notices she is pregnant. She takes her to his ranch Lemon Tree and gives her food and water to rehydrate her. There is so much chemistry between them and they do everything to avoid the chemistry but they end up in bed together. Alana is j ...more

Short story with a lot of potential. A sexy cowboy with a heart of gold and a woman in danger would make a good story. This story was short so it was a little rushed. Alana is on the run from a abusive relationship. She is pregnant and wants better for her baby. Lawson and his brothers run a ranch in a small town. They meet when Lawson rescues Alana when she has a medical issue. He brings her to his ranch and takes care her. He gets her to the doctor, helps her get settled. Their is a instant co ...more

This is a new author to me and I am excited to start the series. And what a way to start off the series!! On the run from her ex-boyfriend who beat her and her unborn baby Alana finally ends up passing out at a gas station in Arizona only to be rescued by a sexy cowboy with a thing for damsels in distress. Lawson and his brother own a ranch in a small town. While helping Alana with getting her to a doctor and back on her feet there is an instant connection between the two of them. Alana doesn’t ...more

When I first started to read this, I didn't think that I was going to end up liking it as much as I did. Usually I need a story and to feel involved with the characters before the sexy times happen. In this book it happened pretty early before I really felt it should have. But then I kept reading. I thought it was just going to be a sexy times book. I was wrong. The story just pulls you in. By the end I was cheering for the characters and was deeply involved in their feelings and outcome. Give i ...more

I just looooovvvveeeeddd this book on a chance that good things do happen in odd situations..
Alana is running from a bad relationship, pregnant, bruised and scared but after driving from state to state sends herself in a bit of trouble when she faints at a gas station..
Lawson is a knight in a Stetson as he helps Alana at that gas station by taking her into his home and helping her in her momentous need.
I really like both of these characters and in how the interacted with Lawson being a quiet and

I enjoyed this short read. Alana stole her ex's car to try to get away from him. He was abusive and tried to kill her baby. Passing out at a gas station, Lawson saves her and takes her home. They have an instant connection. This book has lots of sexy scenes and some laughter. I did enjoy this book but I felt it was kind of rushed. I would have enjoyed it more if the love between these two had a little more time to bloom. This was a first for me from Katie Douglas. It will not be the last. I did ...more

This first book in the Arizona Heat series was HOT! This is Alana and Lawson's story, but there are other characters in the book I suspect we'll hear more of their story. Especially our twin, Clay. This was delightfully romantic; even with some spanking, which Lawson carefully meted when it was a punishment, and done erotically, when fooling around! Lawson is a cowboy you'll fall in love with too! Nice character building to get to Alana and Lawson's meeting up; and Lawson's alpha male, protect t ...more

This is a short, sweet and spicy romance. Lawson, is a lovable charcter, whom takes in Alana when she finds herself passed out in a gas station parking lot. I love Lawson protectiveness. There is great charcter development and great action inside and out of the bedroom. I was engrossed by this well written book and feel in love with the characters and the story. I recieved an advanced copy and am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.

What a totally fun read! Girl on the run. She breaks down and falls down. Guy plays nice guy and helps her out. Oh and she’s pregnant. And he’s bossy and take charge. But she doesn’t mind if the helping out comes along with a little fun times in the bed room. So this is on the shorter side, but it was well written and well rounded. If you like sexy with a little side of spanky, this is definitely a fun afternoon read!

Tie me Down : Arizona Heat Book 1 - Katie Douglas
⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is my first Katie Douglas book and although it was a very fast read, it was well written with lovable characters and enough depth to create a solid story.

Who doesn’t love a cowboy who rides in to save the day and when pregnant Alana faints at the Gas station, Rancher Lawson is right there to catch her.

Looking forward to reading the next in the series, Make Me Stay.

Here is the deal..I enjoyed the story and the characters were good together. The story moves fast but hey, it's a novella so I am not complaining..that's what I love about novellas
The only problem I had was the words used at times..they weird me out..I don't even remember specifically but there were words that I couldn't...One was fur for hair, I think..anyway that's the thing that kept me from giving more stars.
I will read the upcoming books in the series tho.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I am glad it's the start of a new series. There are more brothers living on the Lemon Tree! I would to take Lawson and keep him. He is so sweet and protective. He falls hard for Alana. There are some sweet and sexy scenes. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I highly recommend it. A short enjoyable interesting read. I love this author and this is an amazing start to a new series.

Well right from the start this book had my attention.
The plot was strong with a few twists you don’t see coming
The chemistry between the characters is steamy nearly from the first
time they set eyes on each other.
Alana is pregnant and on the run from her abusing ex. Fainted in front of Lawson
while she was getting gasoline.
This is definitely where the story well and truly begins.
Bit of a warning there’s a bit of sparking involved in the plot.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
