Ha! I knew that would pique your interest and yep, it's just as hot as it sounds...

Trevor Sanchez, former medic of the Metahuman Defense Force's Alpha Team, thought he more or less retired into civilian life by attending medical school to become an emergency room trauma surgeon, when the past comes knocking - or rather shooting - at school's doorstep in form of a terrorist cell long thought to be obliterated. I wish it was longer. Action plus a new romance very seldom leaves me satisfied when the story is too short. The relationship ends up feeling rushed and under developed 🤷🏽‍♀️
I wish this would have been longer and we would have gotten a little more of these two because I loved them both and wanted to see more of their relationship. It was still a good little side story and all the gang was there in one way or another.

Hailey Turner's Metahuman Files series are my drug of choice when it comes to Sci-Fi based paranormal romance and I am soooo glad she's not finished with this series completely.

The second in the Classified spin-off focuses in on Bones, Alpha Team's medic Trevor Sanchez and it's a doozy - full of action, hot men and sweet romance in so few pages - that there is a gift people :)

This isn't a standalone as such, but you could read it if you've never touched In the Wreckage or the rest of the Metahum

I loved this series and all the extra novellas are just the icing on the cake!

So yeah to Trevor Sanchez, the medic of the Metahumans Team, building a future and finding love after leaving the MDF (Metahuman Defense Force). But this wouldn't be Hailey Turner, if there wasn't just a bit of action involved, too!

A bit of heat, a bit of action and some feels and as for telekinetic sex ...
Yes, please! I could have done with a bigger helping here!

It was such a pleasure meeting all the team members agai

This is a new, fresh story that connects to the Metahuman Files series, the marvelous M/M Urban fantasy I have loved.
We get to see the team members for a smaller mission, and it's fantastic.

Here, Trevor/Bones, a Recon Marine with MDF,

Metahuman Defense Force member, has the power of telekinesis,
is in school to be an ER Trauma Surgeon.
Brandon, 28, Paramedic is caught in a domestic violence call that turns deadly.

This is a great short story. Trevor Sanchez was a member of Team Alpha in the main books but at the end of the last one he decided to go back to school to study medicine and become a doctor. He was always kinda in the periphery in the main books - there but never the focus, so this was a nice treat to get some focus on him.

The terrorist attack by the Sons of Adam in the 5th and final book happened in April of that year, and it is now September and Trevor has been in medical school for a few mont

A little too "insta", but enjoyable nonetheless.
Great little novella with Trevor and the gang. I just wish it were longer

New Horizons
A Metahuman Files: Classified Novella, Book 2
By: Hailey Turner
Narrated by: Greg Boudreaux

Greg Boudreaux narration of New Horizon was spot on! He is truly a fantastic voice performer.

This short tale tells the story of Trevor ; who is part of the Alpha Team the Metahuman series. He and Brendan make a nice couple.

This novella was adorable✨🍃

I love this world. This entry includes a “damsel in distress” of which is not my thing . But, in this I adored it.

This is a spin-off of the Metahuman Files series and should not be read as a standalone.

This story focuses on a supporting character from the series, Trevor, and picks up a few months after In the Requiem. I loved being back within this world and getting to know Trevor better. It was exciting to see someone else from Alpha Team fall in love. Brendan was a new character to the series and while I enjoyed him, I don't feel like I truly got to know him. I wish this book had been longer, as

Loved it! Kept postponing to read this book (psst its' Haileys second book that I read)... and it surprised me with less of fight and more of story. The sons of Adam a former terrorist group associates abuses his girlfriend and is caught. Loved the Metahuman power action! Trevor, former member of Alpha team (something like navy seal for people with power) is now studying to become a Doctor gets caught up in a crime scene (hospital) and helps out the Paramedic.

I enjoyed this little continuation of the Metahuman Files series because I am just not ready to let these characters go yet. Trevor finally finds himself in medical school to become the surgeon he has always wanted to be. Just because Team Alpha isn't a centerfold anymore, doesn't mean they find themselves taking down some dangerous situations. When the Sons of Adam show up at the hospital and gun down Brendan, Trevor is their to save the day.

And while they both experience instantaneous attract

Definitely not a stand-alone but a welcome return to the Metahuman Universe. Most of the raving reviews I have seen lost it over the telekinetic wall sex. I have to say there was not nearly enough of it? I liked this fine but I had the same problem I always had with this series: I still have no clue who the hell is who and the info dumping in this little story didn't help.

So, read it if you liked the Metahuman files. It's more of the same. You decide if that is a good or bad thing.
WOW!!! I love this author, who is an auto-buy for me.

I love this series and I can honestly say that especially the last book , was one with real emotional impact. I am so happy that there are more books!

it was the perfect love story! Loved it
I wanted to say I appreciated the time off between the original series ans spin-off. It's why Alexei and Sean and I didn't connect. Wish it was longer and more fleshed out for Trevor as I enjoyed the chemistry between him and Brendon. ...more

I just can't get enough of this series. I know this is a spin off of the Metahuman series but we get to see all the faces that I love from that series. Trevor, the medic from Alpha Team, is now working on becoming a doctor and while in class, there is an attack at the hospital that he is at. So, he jumps into action and runs down to the ER to lend a hand and he comes face to face with Brendan an EMT who is trying to protect his patient. As it turns out, the patient has ties with the Sons of Adam ...more

This was a short book in the Metahuman Files world that was focused on Trevor. I really liked it and the fact that we got to know him a lot better. A few scenes with the whole team that was also great to see. Love this series!
Despite this being a short novella this book brought back all the things I love about Metahuman world and added another couple to the ever growing Alpha team family.

A chance meeting of Trevor and Brendan under dangerous circumstances finds two men in close quarters and falling in love very quickly. But even though it's fast they manage to learn to trust each other and become friends and lovers. Who knew these two men would set the sheets on fire?! Who knew that Brendan is full of surprises and

This short interlude puts Trevor in the spotlight for a change. Now a civilian medical student, he runs up against a Sons of Adam cell and just so happens to find a love interest at the same time. All I have to say to this is: Damn it, Hailey Turner, you can't do that! You can't just give me a new favourite character in this series with only one little novella and one more book to go! No fair! Now I want a full length novel featuring Trevor and Brendan, gimme! (Which is to say: I enjoyed this tr ...more

New Horizons is a novella set in Hailey Turner’s fabulous Metahuman Files series. It is one of three stories that are part of the Metahuman Files: Classified series, meaning they are shorter stories that fit outside the main novels. While you could probably read this without being familiar with Metahuman Files, I think you are going to get much more out of it if you know the series. Also, be aware that this book takes place after In the Requiem, so the story its

Nice to see the gang back together again post all the shit that went down in In the Requiem, and for Trevor to take centre stage for a bit.

Awww... it’s lovely to see more and more members of Alpha Team find love and romance. It was also lovely to be back in this universe (although I technically never left 🤪). I don’t know how I’m going to deal with nothing else to read from this universe! 😩

Here’s a little treat (well, three little treats!) for anyone (like me!) suffering withdrawal symptoms after Hailey Turner’s fabulous Metahumans Files series came to an end earlier this year – the novellas that slot into the later part of the story arc. Unsurprisingly, these won’t work as standalones as they assu

Aw I really enjoyed this. I don't usually like it when a series that has a main couple I love shifts the focus on other couples. But, Hailey Turner got it right with Sean and Alexei, so I figured I'd love Trevor and Brendan as well. I loved the medical setting and seeing Trevor continue his passion for medicine. Brendan was the perfect match for him. He a first responder in the medical field and that's a bond he and Trevor have. Brendan accepts Trevor's telekinesis and embraces it...literally *s ...more

3+ stars. As nice as it was to read about Trevor finding someone who fits him so perfectly, this just didn't have the impact of either the saga of Jamie and Kyle's struggle towards never-certain HEA or Alexei and Sean's stormy relationship. But that's ok. Trevor is more steady and consistent than his teammates, so maybe he deserves a solid ending. And we got to see Katie dressed up for the opera, so that's a bonus! ...more

Trevor and Brendan were so adorable together! I loved that they had the same background and interests and just KNEW! They clicked so well from the start and it was refreshing to not have relationship angst as much as just situational angst in a story. Loved it.

Hailey Turner is big city girl who spoils her cats rotten and has a demanding day job that she loves, but not as much as she loves writing. She’s been writing since she was a young child and enjoys reading almost as much as creating a new story. Hailey loves stories with lots of action, gritty relationships, and an eventual HEA that satisfies the heart.

You can keep up with Hailey's future project
