A memorable, haunting, realistic read. At it's heart, this is a book about being brave and fighting for black lives. Just as it's also about learning to forgive and setting boundaries between yourself and those who hurt you and refuse/won't change. One point I hope to apply to my life is fighting for equality for black lives and those you care for. This book will most resonate with those of color, and those who fight for equality.
