I was totally confused about the incident with the intruder. It was never explained or even mentioned again. Who was he? What happened to him? Ect.

This Is a sweet Shortish novella. Packed with cuteness and little steam.

Lexi meets Lucas at a coffee shop when she accidentally blurts out she hates valentines day. And he agrees love at first site between the two, Lucas doesnt wanna miss a thing he ask Lexi out on a date. He plans to wine and dine her and make her his.

He does that but their is some tiny drama with some random guy breaking into his womans place. I did wish we got more of doggie Vlad in the story.

But it was a sweet read.

No ow drama slight om drama, no cheating, tiny drama, Sexy time, Virgin gal and no manwhore

In the prologue (4years later) they have a son and she is pregnant with another. He proposed (in the first prologue, one month later) and I guess the married before the kids.

h has a stalker that try to hurt her but the H was there and save her. They called the police and they move together. Next day after meeting and sleeping together it’s when this happen.

This was a very nice little surprise.

CM Steele delivers such wonderful reads and I really enjoyed this one. Possessive H who is hell bent on getting his woman and falls head over ass for her...damn...I love it.

Sugar is the first instalment of the Gimmie series and if you are looking for a sweet and safe read that brings the Valentine vibe to life then this is the book to read.

Lexi is running late the morning that she meets Lucas she is stood behind him in the coffee shop and once their eyes meet she knows that she is sunk. He is all she has ever wanted in a man and in less than twenty four hours she knows that they were meant to be. She started off not wanting to celebrate valentines and now she couldn’t love the holiday anymore.

Lucas has never been one for the whole Valentine commercial Holiday but that all changes the morning he turns in the coffee shop queue to see the angel of his dreams. He falls for her straight away and knows that there is nothing that he won’t do to have her as his. But can he convince her that he is being true and this isn’t how he would normally behave? She was meant to be his and he isn’t giving her up.

It is so sweet that you may get toothache but as always a great short read that has everything that you expect from C.M. Steele. Oh and of course we have Vlad the loveable Husky. Looking forward to more in this series.

I loved Lucas and his woman, Lexi's story so much! It had every element of a safe, hot as hell short read with a spectacular happily ever after for these two soul-mates <3

I also loved Lucas's nickname for his Lexi, "Sugar" and it fit perfectly when the intimate scenes came into play and Lucas's dirty talk came into play, Lexi loved it too ;)

Plot: Lexi gets in line behind Lucas at a coffeeshop on Valentine's Day. He overhears her saying how much she hates Valentine's, and that makes him laugh. He's not laughing when he turns around and is blindsided by Lexi. Now he just has to convince her to give in to him - doesn't take much convincing. There's a small hint of danger with the random stalker neighbor guy (??why was that in there??) but their HEA is sewn up pretty quickly.

Character development: Both characters were pretty sweet right away. There wasn't much waffling and they moved toward the end/epilogue very quickly and smoothly.

Would I read more from this author/in this series: Yes

This is a really short romance. Lucas and Lexi meets at a coffee shop on Valentine's Day because his driver was sick and she over slept. There was an instant attraction.
First date leads to intimate relations, then talk of babies. I realize with only 40 pages everything has to move fast. This story was okay, it was just very typical.

I debated one or two stars. I only went with two because I generally reserve one stars for books I hate. I didn't hate this one. It was just so laugh out loud cheesy and cliche. I kept reading lines to my husband and laughing at how ridiculous this novella was. So I guess it gets two stars just for being entertaining.

After that they spend all their time together and then he finally asks her to marry him cuz he wants kids fast. 3 years later a married woman and a beautiful boy and another on the way later and he is still as hard for her as ever. Great short read.

Sugar is book one in the ‘’gimme’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I devoured this book in less than half an hour and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters loveable and the storyline sweet. I really liked Lucas and Lexi, I liked how they met. From the moment Lucas met Lexi, he had to have her. He wasn’t looking for love but as soon as he met Lexi she was his.
The chemistry between Lucas and Lexi is instant. I really liked seeing them become a couple. They’re sweet together.
Overall, I really enjoyed this sweet read.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and a sweet read. I cannot wait for more from this series.

Insta-love, hot sexy times and just plain fun are the hallmarks for C.M. Steele novellas. Sugar is no exception. I always have a blast stepping into the pages of her books. Lucas is so growly and possessive, you can't help but love him. Lexi is so sweet but so genuine that you want to be her friend. Can't wait to dive into another Steele book! 5 stars for Sugar!

Need a Valentine's Day pick me up? This story is cute, sweet, sexy and just what I needed. Lucas and Lexi were destined to be together from that fateful meeting in the coffee shop on Valentine's Day.

Insta-love goodness! Super sexy! Amazingly fun characters with a splash of drama. C.M.Steele always delivers great novellas that take me on a roller coaster ride in under an hour. I absolutely loved this book and Highly recommend it.

Needs to be shown to an editor, or at least wanted in front of one

The grammar in this story was so bad, I couldn't stick with it, even as short as it is. The author keeps changing tense, not even just in each paragraph, but in most sentences. The person will start off in past tense then finish the statement in present tense. It's horribly distracting, and prevents the character's voices from coming through.

Overall, the story felt like it was written in a day and slapped on Amazon without a second thought. I've seen far more polish on Wattpad.

I really enjoyed this short but super sweet story. It was entertaining and enjoyable even with being over the top. The characters were likable. This is my first story by this author and now I'm going to have to check out more of her books. Lexi and Lucas are great. I loved how Lexi was checking him out and then Lucas starts checking her out and they take off from there. They both took a chance on each other and it went exceedingly well. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Absolutely love!!!! Another hit the amazing CM Steele.

Our cute couple both start out not liking the roses, hearts and candy holiday but quickly change their minds when they bump into each other in a quaint little coffee shop. Follow Lucas and Lexi (and the playful puppy Vlad) through their insta-love to their HEA. Looking forward to the next installment of the Gimme series.

Sugar is the first book I've read by C.M. Steele and it will not be the last. This is a fun short read that Lucas and Lexi are both strong characters that made for a well balanced couple. The storyline was well written with an attraction between the couple that simmered along nice as they engaged in a chemistry that was steamy and hot. I can not wait to read more from this author!
