Jace Bell, a nomad for the Skulls, and Beck Golden, his new old lady, moved to Phoenix with high hopes. Jace had been handpicked to run the new chapter of the Skulls by the presidents of both the Westside and Southside chapters. Wolf Lee and Dax Marshall made sure the club had the land to build on and the support they needed to move forward. It all felt almost surreal to J ...more

What a start to a new series. Jessie did a great job with this one for sure. Now there wasn't a whole lot of the MC per say since they are just building their chapter, we did get to see past characters, new characters and there was a whole lot going on as well.

I really liked how this book had murder, mystery, intrigue, suspense, love, loss, friendship, and so much more. Not only did Jessie give us more of Jace and Beck but we got some side stories as well for other characters as well. It all kep

Jessie Cooke does it again! This current read took us on an awesome adventure. We really enjoyed it as the story was packed with tons of suspense, drama, wonderful character's and was filled full of surprises.

Beck and Jace make an awesome couple as they are hilarious together. OMG! I just love Beck and her feisty personality and straight forwardness and her smart mouth as she definitely brought us tons of laughs in this current story. We also saw a vulnerable side of this time around something we ha

This was a great story with three love stories, the main couple and two others. Jace has been sent off to set up a new chapter of the Skulls in Phoenix. Beck, his old lady, is one of the strongest heroine's I've read about but she and Jace have such a good relationship. The story is more about the setting up of the new MC and the new members that drift in to make it up. There's suspense and angst with a serial killer on the loose and the club being put under a cloud of suspicion. There's also a ...more

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

What an explosive start to what is shaping up to be a strong new chapter of the Skulls. Following from the ground up is quite nice though I never would have been able to come up with issues like this. There is new surprise on almost every page surrounded by action and steam to create one fantastic read. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

Rise of the Phoenix: Phoenix Skulls MC is book one in the Phoenix Skulls MC and I hate to say but I’m giving it a 2 star rating.

I have read several Jessie Cooke books and loved them. This one just didn’t pull me in the way that they normally do, I just couldn’t connect with it. Things were confusing and some facts surrounding tribal beliefs didn’t seem correct. I felt like I may have been missing some chapters. Since I received an ARC, it’s possible I didn

As the first in the Phoenix Skulls series, this book went a different direction than previous Skulls books. While all books are standalones, I recommend reading at least the last of the previous series to understand the club and why Phoenix is the newest chapter for the Skulls.

As the president for the brand new chapter of the Skulls, Jace is tasked with setting up shop, building the motorcycle business and taking on new members for the club. The last thing he and his old lady Beck expected was

The Phoenix Skulls MC seems to have some issues, as they are starting off a bit different than I'm used to, but seriously, I really LOVED the whole suspense/mystery surrounding their start to be honest. See, Jace was a nomad, until he met Beck, made her his old lady, and now they're starting a new chapter with Finn. It's not too complicated is it? Jace is now the President of this chapter, but see he's starting the new chapter on some Native American land, and someone isn't happy about it, and w ...more

I fell in love with Beck and Jace in the last book, so having them be the main focus in this one was just truly awesome. Of course, they weren't the only couple being mentioned, but they were still the main focus.

Watching everybody in Phoenix building up a new MC chapter and trying to deal with everything else going on was really interesting. Our guys got dragged into a whole lot of stuff that originally had nothing to do with them, but they ended up in it anyway. There were times it was a true

This story set up this new series. I enjoyed all the characters - Jace and Beck, Ajei and Tse, Streak and Taylor, Tommy and Jessie, Finn - as they showed what a family really is. There was humor, sadness, joy, and steam all while a murderer tries to upset the group. As they work together to help law enforcement find the murderer, these people found out more about themselves and those around them. I recommend this story.

I received an ARC through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my un

Jace and Beck are starting a new journey in their lives and in the MC they are starting a new charter but bodies start turning up and they are making things harder on starting this chapter, life is hard starting off as is but to have this thrown at them .
This book shows just how strong brotherhood for the Skulls is and how they have each others backs.
I love the Skulls and 8 love them starting a new chapter

It is not long before strange things start to happen, and they know that they are unwelcome in town. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! I highly enjoyed this book. A little different than this Author’s MC reads but one you don’t want to miss. Jace and Beck move to start a new chapter of the MC. They encounter problem after problem with a killer on the loose. Other characters are present and it was nice to see the entire club stand behind Jace.
I enjoyed the mystery in this book trying to figure out who the killer was. I read this is one sitting and I literally couldn’t put it down. A MUST READ!! 😀

We meet up with Jace and Beck as they begin their fresh beginnings with the new chapter of the MC. But it’s not as easy as they anticipated and as the problems mount up a murder is added to the mix which made this book an exciting thriller and an intense story
I enjoyed this book very much. It was very different from Ms. Cooke’s usual MC read’s, it was more like a mystery story, and was full of intrigue and has the reader thinking and trying to figure out who the culprit is. An entertaining read,

Jessie, out did herself with this book! I couldn't out it down! Just when I think I love the last book I read of hers, she goes and out does herself with the next!!!! I love the references to the Navajo history!

I love this couple. Beck is still a damn trip! Jace gutts me in the best way. So I got super excited when I saw book 2 is named Jace. The excerpt was so intriguing. Way to go!!! Streak and Tay WTF?! I want Tommy to join the club. I enjoyed the Native American tales and history. It was so awesome as one by one the crew all rolled in. I started getting excited. The Phoenix MC is in the house! I can’t wait to get to know Bubba, Boots, and the others. I really enjoyed this book and series. I highly ...more

Look I'm going to be completely honest here I have been a fan of Mrs. Cooke's Skulls since the beginning. In fact I have been with the Skulls since the beginning, all the way back to Dax's book (which by the way seems, oh so long ago). Than I had missed a couple of her books (which by the way I still haven't read, but they are still sitting on my list) and than dove back into the Westside Skulls with Beck's book. I have to say that after reading Beck's book, I was a bit weary coming into this bo ...more

It’s stated that this is a standalone but reading the first paragraph has me questioning, “What’s that about?” I know it appears to be a memory but I had to wonder if it starts in a previous book. It was like stepping into the middle of a conversation.

Jace Bell and Rebekah “Beck” Golden have both a warm and twisted welcome. That welcome is also ours – it’s at that point where you must decide if you’re going to see where this adventure is going to take you. The sad part is that they are already a

Great introduction to a spin-off series.

I'm a huge fan of the Southside Skulls. We've moved on from them to the Westside Skulls and now Boston and California are creating a new Charter, the Phoenix Skulls. They are an eclectic bunch of characters to put it mildly. Miss Cooke is even more creative in her writing and you are guaranteed never to be bored. She gave us a introduction to some of the other main characters that will be part of the Phoenix Skulls. I'm very much looking forward to this ne

This was the first book in a new series from Jessie and whilst I have loved the other series this one I didn't enjoy as much. It has pained me marking this one lower then I usually do.

This won't stop me reading the others as I've always enjoyed Jessie's writing but for me I didn't connect with as much I would normally. The stories with all the characters seemed to jump around a bit to me. I felt like it was too much, too many different stories going on. Jessie/Tommy, Streak/Taylor, Finn

I absolutely love this author and every MC book she writes and this book was no exception. This is the first book in another chapter of the Skulls MC. The couple from the last Westside Skulls MC book, Jace as the President and Beck at his side, have been elected to start the Phoenix Chapter of the Skulls. I loved that we get to see from more than one character’s perspective so we get a fuller picture and enjoy the flow of the story more. We get to meet a lot of fun and interesting characters. It’s a look at MC life I haven’t seem before. The connection and passion between characters was amazingly written. At times it seemed a bit slow but it’s definitely worth a read.
