Tessa is a human with an affinity for wolves and photographing them in their natural habitat. These moments when she is in her element are the only times lately where she feels any semblance of peace. Her brother is in jail for a murder Tessa believes he didn't commit. She's trying to find the real killer in order to free him, but in the middle of her investigation she finds she's being stalked. Tessa Anderson has always been drawn to wolves, as has her brother Michael, though neither of them can explain why. But when Michael is convicted of a murder he did not commit, Tessa is left alone in their cabin in the woods, and discovers that she is being stalked. When she finds a gorgeous naked man on her beach, her life just gets more complicated. The man is Hunter - he knows that he is a werewolf, and he remembers his first name, but other than that things are a little bit foggy for him. He ...more

Keeping with the author's other books, Alpha finding his mate. The hero/Alpha was not capable of "leading" his own pack and the heroine was just "OK". The story dragged on for too long to reveal a murder mystery - in the end, I didn't care who "did it" and neither did the author. It was explained in a few paragraphs. As a reader, I felt I was just given a "behind the scene story" for the secondary characters, not really needed if this was the case. After reading the first 2, this book could defi ...more

If this hadn't been my airplane book, I don't think I would have finished it. The beginning is fun - cheese-o-rama and melodramatic - and the frequent descriptions of the big-busted heroine's turtlenecks and the manly werewolf hero's manliness were quite entertaining. But after awhile the rhetoric about "real men" and the arbitrary (from what I could tell) differentiation between alpha and beta werewolves went from funny to annoying. By the end, I felt like I was slogging through a morass of mak ...more

I didn't even realize this was a series. Maybe the fact that I hadn't read the first one is why I spent three whole days trying to get through it. It was slightly interesting, but it felt like there were too many characters coming in from different directions. If they were from previous books, then it wouldn't have been so bad. Besides that, I feel like the reason behind the drama seemed a little out there. It wasn't something I ever would have even thought of sicne there were so few clues point ...more

3 stars.

I still feel there is an inconsistency between what happened from book 1 to this 3rd book regarding how to turn a human to a werewolf. Once you disregard this, it was enjoyable.

Probably had the ingredients of a better, more humorous book given all the characters and happenings.

Still had some instances where the wrong name was used so the book does need better editing. But overall, a solid read.

An enjoyable paranormal romance with plenty of action that moved right along. It had an interesting plot with many unexpected turn of events among the characters. Tessa is trying to prove her brother innocent of murder and she rescues a naked Hunter on the beach.

Another ok story. I was so excited about this series but these stories are so repetitive. I really enjoyed the first book, but book 2 and 3 are just ok. The lead characters are not worth remembering.

Tessa, a human female lives in the Pacific Northwest along the coast. She is out picking up firewood on the beach when she comes across a naked man who is unconscious and freezing. That man, Hunter, is really a lupus garou or werewolf. He is the leader of a pack that is in the area and becomes involved with a vicious gang of grey wolves that are up to “no good”! Tessa and Hunter become involved and the story goes on. Actually, this is a rather long book but I really didn’t mind. It’s got tons of ...more

What is it with Terry Spear and taking naps that turn sexy? Also she seems to have a liking for alpha men (which I like) and hormonal, weak women. I usually like these trapped-in-a-cabin-together type of stories but unfortunately they are trapped with a big cast of characters, several of which are very disagreeable. The must-become-a-werewolf angle suspense is interesting and well-done. I'm not sure that I would pursue Spear as an author after reading two of her books. She's not bad but seems a ...more

Action-packed romance and suspense-filled plot add up to pure magic. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Terry Spear is a great addition to the paranormal genre! (Wendy Hines Armchair Interviews 20090813)

Author Terry Spear will have you caught up and panting for more. (Margo Arthur The Romance Studio 20090821)

I usually don't read werewolf stories, but Ms. Spear's has spun a web of drama that pulled me in. And for this, I was pleasantly surprised and grateful. Get it; read it; you'll l

I Loved this book. Not only because it has a fantastic romance or two, but it answered questions about how the mates met. I love everything Terry Spear writes.

Wow, A Good Read

I've never read a Wolf Book. This one was a truly good read, a murder mystery and a romance rolled together.

This is part of a series, but this can be read as a stand alone. This book has excitement, fast paced story, wolf shifters, mystery/suspense, action, humor, and steamy romance. The secondary characters are entertaining and enhance the story. The main characters are so hot together and everything that happens to them keeps you on the edge of your seat. The hero and heroine get their HEA and there isn't a cliff hanger ending.

I am so enjoying this series! I have really enjoyed reading about each of the characters in each book. Terry Spear has a way of making you fall in love with each of them and having them embedded into you mind. And I have been waiting to read Hunter's story for the longest time, every since I read book 9 :)! And I loved it and him.

What I love about Terry Spear’s books is the fact that I can’t work out who the guilty party is until all is revealed! In this book, Tessa is a human who is desperately trying to find the evidence to free her brother Michael from a murder conviction. Hunter is the Alpha pack leader whose pack had to flee California because of the forest fires.

Tessa finds Hunter naked and unconscious on the beach when she’s out looking for driftwood for the fire. An ice storm is brewing and she somehow manages t

To Tempt the Wolf, did not disappoint. Tessa is a human nature photographer who specializes in photographs of wolves. Her brother has just gone to prison for a crime he says he didn't commit. Hunter is a pack Alpha who has just fled his area with his siter due to forest fires and relocated at his uncles home. The rest of his pack did not follow, but went to Portland instead to "get a taste of city life". He comes home from an errand and his sister is gone and he can smell three male wolves. He s ...more

When Hunter Greymere wakes up on the beach, badly injured, with a beautiful woman tending to him, it’s only the start of a chapter of accidents. Hunter is a werewolf, and can’t remember his name or how he came to be hurt. Tessa is a human, but she smells so very good he’s falling in love. And Tessa’s friends are human too, which makes them altogether too vulnerable.

When Tessa Anderson’s brother is jailed for murder, that’s only the start of her chapter of accidents. But that man on the beach has

I really enjoyed this book. I would recommend it. It's the first time I have read this author,I wasn't disappointed. It's the 3rd book in the series but can be read as a stand alone read. Hunter Greymore makes a great alpha male hero & an even better alpha male Lupus Garou(werewolf). Tessa Anderson, the female lead, she was ok, I had a hard liking her. This was a fun book, while it is in a series it can be read alone without alot of trouble. People from the other books are only slightly in it.

Tessa finds herself in trouble when after her brother is convicted for murder someone breaks into her house. While gathering up firewood on the beach she finds a naked man and does what anyone else would do, help him, but that is when the craziness and trouble seem to go into high gear. Tessa finds herself turning to the naked man, Hunter, for protection

Unfortunately this book was not one of my favourites in the series but by the end I had gotten into the book. At the beginning I felt that it was just written a little messy.

I liked that Hunter was so protective of his sister and was able to handle her even when she was acting a little like a brat..... I also liked how Hunter ended up meeting Tessa and even though he was attracted to her was able to be a gentleman until he could remember his past.

Now I liked Tessa and how she was willing to do w

To Tempt the Wolf is an enticing romance story filled with danger and mystery. I couldn’t put the book down once I started reading. I really enjoy the author’s voice and the way she goes into detail about the surroundings in the story. It’s sad but most authors don’t add small or large details in stories anymore and I really miss it.

The hero and heroine had lots of chemistry to make their romance believable and both were very likeable. I loved the mystery that came with the story and the second
