It’s Not Just Your Genes was a good book, it has taught me beyond what I need to know about genes, chromosomes, diseases, and more. I am not disappointed after reading this book but it is very academic. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in the world of genes, diet and nutrigenomics, you will definitely get something out of it.
Well, I realize that this book might not appeal to everyone. But it is a very simple introduction to world of nutrigenomics. It essentially explaines the validity behind nutrition/lifestyle recommendations based on a person's genetic susceptibility to chronic disease. It's very easy to read, up to date on research, and an absolutely fascinating concept.
excellent book for a primer on how genomics control our metabolism. would have preferred more detail and biochemical pathways, but i understand it would be out of the scope of this book.
I liked the cheat sheet for the genes to check for medical issues.
