This was very poorly written and/or edited. The author often uses big words but in an incorrect context or with a slightly wrong meaning. This is very off-putting to a reader. I do not recommend.
Deedra is an investigative reporter and has been sent to find out what is the story of starlet Sharlee and her inventor husband. When Deedra arrives she finds out that Sharlee and her Husband have bought a old abbey that has been named the Awful Abbey and it is creepy and haunted. When a young boy goes missing after finding a message from Sharlee wanting help, Deedra decides she is going to get to the bottom of the mystery. Deedra finds more people at the Abbey then anyone knows is there and she cant get close enough to Sharlee to get answers. When she sneaks into the house she finds more then she bargains for. Now she wonders if any will get out alive. This book is intriguing and has some twists to it
Really not good. The writer is apparently under the impression that she will actually be paid for using "50 cent words", so uses them often without much regard to whether she's using them correctly. Story itself is weak, many leaps of logic that weren't, y'know, logical. If I'm not mistaken, this publisher is either a subsidiary of Harlequin, or a self-print/vanity press. It shows in the lack of editing, proofing, etc. Save yourself some time and annoyance - skip this and go to the next book in the to-be-read pile.
