This book was an on the whim grab. I'd seen it for free and wanted to check out the author since I hadn't heard of her before. I'm truly glad I did! It was time well spent reading. I got a great read and added an new author to my list of authors to read.
So, the start of the book was a bit confusing at first. We have Jasmine writing a letter to her cousin Reyna, talking about dating Diego and her friend (her Diego's brother) Romeo. It confused me for a minute because the blurb implied that

*I received a free copy of this book, with thanks to the author. The decision to review and my opinions are my own.*

The Maldives setting is gorgeous and the environmental subplot fits perfectly with this sumptuous but threatened location.

The main storyline is, of course, the will-they-won’t-they (they definitely will!) love story between Jasmine and Romeo, but Kate Ashenden throws numerous obstacles in the way of their sexy-ever-after.

There is PTSD caused by a

This was a first time read by this author and it kept me thoroughly engaged throughout the read.

This is a debut book from Kate Ashenden. I love picking up a debut book, it means there is nothing to tell me what to expect. Will I love it? I always have hopes that I will enjoy it. Kate’s book, Wanted in Paradise, is a great first book. I enjoyed the beautiful beach setting, the charismatic characters, and the fun storyline.

I’d have liked more information about the concert and the reasoning behind it since it was the reason for Jasmine and Romeo to be in the Maldive Islands. T

This book had lots going on. There was drama, suspense, heartbreak and adventure and I did enjoy the story line. I thought that the author did an amazing job describing the scenery and making it possible for me to feel as though I could see myself in those beautiful tropical locations. I also enjoyed the love triangle created when the Sheikh started to show Jasmine attention. This really helped to open Romeo's eyes to how he was feeling.

Jasmine was one of the survivors of the typhoon that hit the Philippines. After an ordeal like that, Jasmine realized how precious life is and it should never be squandered at a boring and stressful banking job. So she quit.

I love nothing more than being transported to a beautiful place whilst reading and that is exactly where this book takes you. It is so full of passion it makes your heart race and keeps you wanting more. I love how the storyline highlights the dangers of climate control, Such a massive and serious subject that most people don’t think about but this story gets you thinking as it reels you in with the intense passion between Romeo and Jas. A story of healing as well as love and suspense for Romeo and Jasmine. It took me quite a few chapters to finally get into the story. There was some confusion in the opening and the pace was simply slow. With Jasmine suffering from PTSD after a tragedy, she needs to heal and find new meaning. She re-connects with Romeo, who was disillusioned by his status as an international singing star and in need of a purpose. Romeo offers Jasmine a job and you have to really pay attention from this point on. ...more

Jasmine and Romeo’s story it gave me my favorite feels. Being in love with your ex boyfriend’s brother had to have been hard especially seeing as said brother is a famous singer! The chemistry between these two is so obvious but Romeo fights it because he doesn’t want to hurt his brother or family. Both trying to deal with their pain brings them together in setting up a concert to help bring Renewable Energy and it’s benefits to the entire world. Absolutely enjoyed this book to the fullest! Jasmine has been a victim of tragedy. This has brought on PTSD and strength. She is working through it while taking a job in a great location. Having excellent man candy doesn't hurt either.

Romeo is the brother of an ex. Jasmine has always had a crush on him, and there have been many times just thinking of him has gotten her through tough times. While she has her choices of many, this one is her personal favorite.

Wow the things that Jasmine went through. How sad , I really felt so bad for her. She suffered from PTSD. I guess when you lose a family memeber the way she did. It was a hard Pill to swollow. Finding romance in her ex Diego brother really put me on edge. It was many twist and turns. It was like I wanted to Jasmine and Romero to love eachother . Then deep down I didnt. I guess Love conquers it all . I couldnt stand Rupert. His attitude was bad and I wanted him to get away! Clive was a funny dude ...more

Danger, suspense, heat, and tension
Wanted in Paradise offers suspense, romance, a villain or two, a bit of a love triangle, and danger. While I didn’t really get into the lead character’s personalities, their relationship was an interesting up and down ride. The story is written in third person. It offers informative dialogue about the beautiful Maldives locale and Romeo’s passion for climate change. Interesting secondary characters. I did find I was more into the story from the midpoint. Good start

This is a fabulous holiday read. I couldn’t put it down and read it in a day whilst relaxing by the pool on holiday.
It’s set in the stunning Maldives, which is described so beautifully that you can just image being there along side Jasmine.
The book pulls you in as a reader, builds suspense and is gripping in places.
I absolutely loved reading it and found it to be a satisfying, tension building beautiful storey-line.

Jasmine and Romeo loved each other, but Jasmine dated his brother Diego. She broke up with him, but Romeo felt very loyal to his brother and would not allow himself to pursue Jasmine. Romeo is not a famous singer about to put on a concert in the Maldives to bring attention to climate change. He asks Jasmine to accompany him as a public relations manager. This novel grabs yours attention from the beginning and keeps you guessing. A Saudi sheik that brings trouble to Romeo. A fire and birds that h ...more

Very good contemporary romance that is Entertaining and interesting. The Moretti family is a strong Italian family with a somewhat domineering mother. Jasmine falls for Diego only later realizing he doesn’t treat her right. His older brother Romeo is kind to her but very interested in his music. They meet again years later as very different people. I had some problem with Romeo’s on again off again attitude as well as him Turing to someone else right under Jasmines nose. I received a complementa ...more

Wanted in Paradise is the debut book for this author and I feel like she may be on to something.
For her first book, I thought it was good. I’m not a big fan of third person writing because it makes it hard for me to connect with the characters so I think that was my biggest struggle with it. It also started off slow and took a bit for me to get invested in the story, all that being said, I enjoyed it. I did love where Romeo and Jasmine ended up, and loved that they had some much to wade through

Wanted in Paradise is a good read. Jasmine's ex Diego is missing so she reaches out to his brother Romeo. She has a crush on Romeo. Jasmine goes to The Maldives with Romeo to help him with his benefit concert. I liked both Romeo and Jasmine but they didn't hook me into the story right away. What hooked me was the suspense part of the story. Jassime's and Romeo's connection wasn't super great with me but throw in a Romoe's creepy manager, Rupert, and a weird Saudi Arabia Sheikh, Kamal, and I was ...more

For this author's first book I felt it was well written and has wonderful characters. I loved reading and following Jasmine and Romeo's story, as well as the environmental statement in the story line. The ending I felt was unfinished as you don't find out what happens to Rupert, Kamal, and the feelings of the local populace toward Romeo. I look forward to reading more from this very promising and talented author.

I received this book for free from an ARC page and wasn’t sure what to expect but wanted something different from what I normally read. I was very pleased. This was a ‘romantic suspense’ novel, and I was glued to my tablet! I couldn’t put it down! You root for the main characters to get together but will they? Will they not? I was happy to hear the Author is working on book #2, hopefully it’ll be just as good!
