From up here on stage, I can see her. Even with her First Lady hair and Sunday school shoes, I can’t take my eyes off of her.

The music starts. I swing my hips to the thumping bass. Oh-so-slowly I slip one button through a hole, then another, then another. I ease the black silk from my shoulders and toss it right toward her.

I watch her pale glossy lips form a big ‘O’ before

He's a comedian that's done well for himself, but has a different woman in every city. Nothing is ever serious until he meets Daisy. Things really heat up between them, but she also has some baggage, she's a webmaster to a slew of sex sites and thinks all mean are hogs. You get to see the story develop between them as well as their feelings for each other. In the beginning I had my misgivings about the book, but by the end I was glad I finished it.

Daisy’s best friend was Nariand they were going to a gay bar . Daisy wanted to put her finger on gay mens tastes. Daisy had seen the worst of men in her profession and didn’t want one in her life. Taylor was daisy’s second best friend. Nari could get in any place in LA and that’s why Daisy had brought her. At the gay bar a couple of men asked if they could share their booth and Daisy said sure and ended up talking to Rafe too bad he was gay. Daisy ended up with rafe’s short as did a strip dan

I had a hard time finishing this book. I look for characters that I can either relate with or that I grow an attachment to like friends. I did not like either of these characters for the first 60% of the book. Even after that, I was not terribly interested in their ending.

I will say though that this book touches on a topic I think more people need to acknowledge, pornography. I think the author did a wonderful job in expressing the negative affects it can have on people individually and in rela

The story of Daisy and Rafael was ok, I did struggle a little to get through the book because I did not feel the chemestry between the two caracters, and they were doing too many stupid things withouth thinking of the consequences even though they are both in their thirties. I did not get a good feel for either of them I am sorry to say. Rafael sleeps with too many women, does not pay attention to what the women want and ends up with a statutory rape charge, a rape charge and the has sex with Da ...more

Overall rating: 0/5 This book needs a trigger warning, Rafael rapes two women by the end of the story.

Heroine (Bronwen ‘Daisy’ Fletcher): 1/5 Daisy seems like an upstanding East Coast baby living in LA but runs several ‘adult viewing’ sites in her off hours. She’s a white girl with a Korean guy fetish.

Hero (Rafael ‘Rafe’ Augustine): 0/5 He's misogynistic and a rapist. Also he works as a comedian and was at

Daisy Fletcher goes for a night out. She has an interesting job. Raphael Augustine may have a job at making people laugh. I found that it was easier to picture Daisy doing her job than Raphael’s. My funny bone never got engaged, plus he gets into trouble and that seemed to bring things down.

I’ve come to like reading a story that’s being told in the first person. But there was one scene where Daisy got a little too descriptive about her friend. It was a case of TMI. I also didn’t

Taming the Bad Boy was an interesting tale between a woman who has the job all men fantasize about and a guy who is a stand-up comic. Daisy and a friend decide to do some market research for Daisy’s occupation. She wants her line of work to be more inclusive for all lifestyles. When she meets a group of men in the club, she’s uncomfortable to find she was attracted one of them. There were small sizzling sparks between Daisy and Raphael, but Daisy misinterprets which gender he’s attracte

Daisy and her friend Nari were going to MJ club it was a gay men’s club and had seen many scenes. They were at the club when 3 men asked if they could join them at their table. Of course the ladies didn’t have a problem since the men were gay. One of the men got up to dance on one of the boxes his name was Rafe he stripped down to next to nothing. He threw his black shirt into the crowd and Daisy retrieved it be

Good romance rather unpredictable
I found the title well chosen because I wanted to slap Raphael, the hero at the beginning of the story as he takes so much time to react to his actions, or to think, but this story is also about the heroine Daisy who needs to master her life again, and it is him who helps her to overcome her relationship difficulties.
The whole thing is an introspection of Daisy about her life and the sex industry (she's webmaster of her porn enterprise). She needs to go a long wa

I struggled to get through this book. Rafe & Daisy didn't really have a lot of chemistry to start off with. I felt like she only liked him because he was Asian. Rafe was really crude and jumped from one bed to another with no thought to anything. Daisy was a mess. Who would think that it is ok to shoot a porno in their friends living room without permission. Then she goes from paying to have the prono shot, to actually being in the porno? but she has issues with being intimate with Rafe? I don't ...more

Daisy is fed up of been hit on by men after all she knows from her job as a porn site manager that men are after only one thing. So when she and her friend want to go out for a drink they head to a gay bar as they figure they will be safe there. They are joined at their table by three men one of them is Rafe When Rafe gets up to dance he just about ends up naked Shortly after the girls leave and Daisy is surprised when the bouncer gives her a not from Rafe Seems that Rafe isn't gay at all and he ...more

A very interesting, well-written page-turner that will hold your interest until the very end. The plot is well-developed, consistent, realistic, exciting. It will take you on a roller coaster of heart wrenching emotions, growing up, ups and downs, and other drama. The characters Daisy and Raphael balance each other perfectly – though it took them a while to figure it out. The chemistry between them is potent and undeniable. This is not a quick read and in my opinion it would have benefitted grea ...more

This was a good book. I enjoyed the characters. The storyline was good and different. Daisy meets Rafael at a gay club. She is not looking to be hit on and this place was her safest bet. She automatically thinks Rafael is gay because of the club. Turns out, he definitely is not. Daisy is a porn webmaster and she feels like all guys are the same. Beasts looking for one thing. Rafael is a comedian and he has problems keeping his junk in his pants. They are an unlikely pair. It seems like nothing c ...more

I don't really know what I was expecting for this book but I wasn't really that much of a fan. I thought it would be a cool little read and it entertained me but there were just too many prejudices. I know the book talks about subjects which are controversial but I think that the author was trying too much. The timelines were bizarre, sometimes every day in a week was detailed and other times a whole week or month went by ... I don't really know what specifically didn't cut it for me in the book ...more

Hi Jolie, I LOVED the story. The twist and turns of wondering if he is or not gay, in Daisy's mind!! I laughed at the suspence at what Daisy would do, when she found out that Rafe was straight.
Writers have the most amazing mind for story telling.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, for the great stories you bring to life in your books, for me the reader whom fantasizes about being right beside the strong women in your books, living their story throu them.
Sincerely your admirer

The main reason for low score is that I didn't feel any chemistry between the characters. The story itself was really complex and interesting. So different from any of the hundreds of romance novels I have read before. I kind of see that how in this story watching porn ruined the female lead's sex drive and made real life encounters so much more scarce and uncomfortable, it actually probably happens with reading romance novels also. This part of that book I really liked, it was like reading a re ...more

I really enjoyed the characters in this story and I liked getting to know them.

I liked the author's writing style and she had a lovely way of describing things to bring the story to life too and making the characters genuine.

I thought personally that there was too much background being told and it spoilt the storyline as stopped the natural flow of the story. This is my only minor issue with the book though and it is still four stars from me for this one as overall I really enjoyed it!

This is the 1st book I've read written by Jolie Moore; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

Taming the Bad Boy should be called taming us. She caught his eye and then his shirt. She surprised him just as she surprised him. Both of them needed to understand the basics of a good relationship. I think he figured it out only because he did not need any more bad publicity. I think that hurt her more to hear about it after it happened. Both of them grew up because it became an issue of the heart.

A sexy, alluring story. The blurb definitely caught my interest. The story of Daisy and Rafe was alot of fun to read. Two characters that as we get to learn more about including how they tick you can see they go together like peanut butter and jelly, even though they're messy separately they are so good together.

I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

Don't we sometimes think the cute ones are gay? Well it's an honest mistake this time and considering what she is commonly around it's nothing surprising to her. It's how these two go after their first encounter that things get interesting. There will be taming, but that won't be all.......

Quite a witty read!

Daisy was quite an entrepreneur and Raphael was just pure hilarious! from their first meeting to the end of one of her careers. That said, the writing wasn't as smooth, confusing and a bit disjointed in parts...because I really liked the issues raised and the storyline. Maybe it was the narration in itself???

I liked this book a lot. I will not give the synopsis since you can read the blurb and others give more detail but I definitely recommend!

The chemistry, sexiness, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things very interesting. I cannot wait to read more by this author. Definitely worth your time!
