Fantastic selection of short stories, essays, and prose. Great stories by masters like Lavalle, Barron, Kiernan, and Jones. Great exposure to new authors Smith and Ulmer.
A terrific beach read. Not all the stories appealed, but the poetry in this issue is especially strong. Certainly the best article is "The Gnome Press Story." An old essay by Cornelius Vanderbilt, Jr., concerning his effort to interview Lord Dunsany, is also a treat.

Oddly, a particular copy of a particular book I know a friend once owned is mentioned in one of the articles.
