4.5 Stars!

This was so awesome that the only way I can describe it is: this is what would happen if the Kate Daniels series took place in the future and in outer space (and was written by a different author obviously). And if you know my love for all things Ilona Andrews, you know that that comparison is high praise indeed!

There's a strong heroine with a mysterious past that isn't fully revealed. She's pretty bad-ass. She engenders some strong emotional reactions out of the reader (for me

WOWZER!!! I’m officially HOOKED!!

Rules of Redemption was my first book by this author – another addition to my NEW AUTHORS OF 2019 list – and it won’t be my last.

I had to put it down at 1am in the morning. With 50% more to go there was no way I could have finished it anytime soon. I had a hard time putting it down, I was literally glued to the pages – that’s how good it was!

One of my proven ways of not experiencing books slumps and funks is reading different genres. I haven’t had a

That was AMAZING !

Holy smokes that was so good. I'll re-read it, shoot I want to see the movie. It would be such a fabulous movie ! It was Star Wars' space action, Star Trek's lovable characters, Oceans Eleven scheming, humor and some seriously cool creatures. The romance is there and so well written into the story. It was perfectly done (IMHO). Oh my gawd, Graydon, sexy, super macho, distant, difficult, grumpy, did I mention sexy ( shutters ) I love a man that can be great when he needs to. **

I loved this as much as I did Pathfinder's Way.
The background idea (humans as the young race in space that isn't trusted) isn't new, but the plot and the characters made my day.
The ending clearly points to a series and one I will be glad to continue.

To the grammar purists out there: there were a couple of mistakes that nowhere harmed my enjoyment.

This author is really becoming one of my favorites. I loved loved her Broken Lands series and I am adding this one to the love list.

Love the world building wherein Humanity is a young race in need of guidance in space life. The bad race (Tsavitee) is a devouring horde decimating humanity.

The heroine (Kira) is awesome! We are still learning from her background. I love the other characters as well. There's a hint of romance here and I hope it will develop more in the next book. I love Graydon.

This started slow & took a few chapters for me to begin to enjoy , soon after, I become engrossed in the story & now I’m in need of book 2 ASAP ...more
Can't do it. Sick and tired of this trope.

Strong Heroine who has built up her life from the ashes, independent, lives for freedom.

1 arrogant asshole wrecks her entire life and controls her to fit his own agenda

Heroine gives in and falls in love cuz he's pretty I guess.

I don't care how pretty he is, it's not worth your freedom.

HOWEVER. If this IS your sort of thing, it is very well written.

This was awesome. So much awesome. I need the next book. Like now. Holly says it best when she says this book is like Kate Daniels in space. That is the perfect analogy. All you IA fans out there should seriously check this one out!
Absolutely loves it!

Many reviews said, this book as good as Ilona Andrews’s books.
Yes, I agree with that!:)

I have read and loved everything else TA White has previously published. This was no exception. As always, this book features a strong female lead character: Kira. However, a few parts of the book take place from Graydon's perspective, too. Also present are a snarky drone and lots of military comradery with Kira's former squad and Graydon's oshota. This book is fun, light-hearted, and still contains just the right amount of romance. I look forward to continuing this series to find out more about ...more

The first series wasn't a fluke. I loved this one as well. Kira was a total bad ass and I can't wait to see what she does next.

Amazing read and can't wait for the next one

T.A. White has done it again. I am so very happy to have found this author that writes books that I so thoroughly enjoy. They have the right amount of romance and the right amount of action. This one is an excellent beginning to a new series. It is rare to find a book I wish to reread immediately after reading it but this is one of those books. I really look forward to the next one. Please keep them coming. Thank you for sharing these lovely amazing

Hell. To. The. Yes. If I could rate this book 20 stars I would. My goodness what a fantastic book considering I have never read T.A. White before but I definitely will continue to read all her writing from now on.

This book hit all my bullet points and then some. Right out the gate it was action packed and thoroughly consumed me. Here is basic synopsis but believe me when I say you MUST read this book. Like must.

Kira is a salvager which basically means she flies from planet to planer salvaging
I feel like the only person who didn't like this book, so maybe it just wasn't my style.

But to be honest, I feel like I just read a first draft. The book had so many different threads, and I didn't feel any of them were followed to a satisfying conclusion. I felt like I was being pulled in so many different directions, with hints of plot that are never fleshed out. It was like the book had too many ideas and couldn't decide what it wanted to be about, so it tried to be about everything and as a

I really enjoyed this sci-fi adventure for the most part. We start with out h Kira, a retired war vet that just wants to get on with her life as a salvager with her best-friend/ robotic sidekick Jin. Everything is going well until circumstances force her to face the friends she left behind, and a new possible enemy.

The good:
Jin. Loved that sassy robot.
I also liked the side characters- her old unit carried some serious baggage, but I liked getting to experience a new alien race with their

Rules of Redemption is the first book I've read by T.A. White, and I really enjoyed reading this Sci-Fi story. I one-clicked it yesterday, started reading and basically didn't move until I had finished.

What did I love about this? EVERYTHING!! I loved the characters, I loved the story, I enjoyed the small ( very small ) glimpse of romance. As soon as I finished I went straight to Amazon to get book 2, not realising this was a recent release and THERE ISN'T a book 2 yet. So, while I'm

I may have a new favorite T.A. White series, and that is saying something. Can’t wait for Book 2.

Addendum: Just as excellent the second time through.

Hard to get into at first and the writing was a bit stilted at first. The “there she goes again!” *dramatic wink wink* antics between Jin and Kira wore thin. We get it, she’s violent and impulsive! But sometimes? She’s stupid, too.

I’m interested to see what the next book holds, because i am wanting a bigger payoff between her and Graydon. She doesn’t seem to care for him at all and their chemistry just doesn’t leap off the page like I believe it’s intended. 4 stars because in spite of these

Overall, I liked this.

Good Sci fi premise, interesting heroine and a slow burn romance, which plays very lightly into the overall storyline.

It wasn't perfect. It took me quite a while to get properly into it (although I have been in a book slump and totally exhausted this week) and the MC can be a little infuriating in her decisions and lack of trust. Grayson can also sometimes be too over bearing.

But it's well written and I like the idea of the primus form and what's to come in the future...

I've never read anything else by this author, but I shall rectify that mistake very soon. One of the best sci-fi romance books I've read this year.

This was a terrific beginning to a new series by T.A. White. Such a great read!

This book is a beautiful blend of technology, magic, space adventure, hard-working, hard-training heroine, loyalty and a bit of romance.

The story is well written, tightly woven and delightful. I highly recommend it.
Mass Effect meets Captain Marvel and I cannot wait for the second part, ahhhhhhh!

This is even more enjoyable the second time around and it basically hits all my personal catnip spots. The story basically ticks all the boxes for me: kickass female lead who has hidden and pretty special powers, slow burn between the lead couple (who are not even a couple at this point), humans as a relatively young spacefaring race that is not fully trusted by the other intergalactic races, learning about

Looooooved this - such a great start to the series. I feel so bad for Kira, and how alone she is, given that she's been fucked over or dismissed by everyone in her life except Jin (Jin is The Best!)...people she loves that are happy to believe the worst of her, without even talking to her. It is heartbreaking.

I love sci-fi, but I have such a hard time finding ones that really resonate with me. This one does - the layered story and huge backstory are compelling, and I can't wait to see where it

This book is amazing! I loved it! I liked the characters and the plot, literally EVERYTHING!
KIRA IS SUCH A BADASS, like i want to be her. Everyone needs to read this book if you love a strong female!!!
At first you might think this book is trash or something, like you don’t quite get it. But its one if those books where if you keep going the story keeps getting BETTER AND BETTER.

This reminded me a lot of Ilona Andrews' Kate Daniels and/or Hidden Legacy series but obviously in a science fiction setting, rather than fantasy. And I fucking loved it! GIVE ME MORE PLEASSEE!!!

Very interesting universe and plot that's ruined by an MC that can't decide if she's totally brilliant or a complete moron. The whiplash is real.
5* WHERE IS THE 2ND BOOK - I need it now.
I loved this and want more more more. Audio was enjoyable

4.5* loved this and can’t wait for book two. A very satisfying sci-fi

Rating: 5 stars - loved it!

A friend recommended that I had to read T.A. White'sRules of Redemptionand she was not wrong because I loved this wild ride! I was immediately sucked into the world that White created and I found the tension between the humans, Tuann, and Tsavitee really interesting. Some of the history behind the characters is rolled out slowly over the course of the story and this caused a bit of confusion sometimes, but overall, I loved the writing and

Writing is my first love. Even before I could read or put coherent sentences down on paper, I would beg the older kids to team up with me for the purpose of crafting ghost stories to share with our friends. This first writing partnership came to a tragic end when my coauthor decided to quit a day later, and I threw my cookies at her head. Today, I stick with solo writing, telling the stories that ...more
