Murder by crossbow. A paradise for ghost hunters. An iguana looking for his soul mate.
When Lorna Shadow takes on a short term job at Applebank Manor, she gets the shock of her life. It turns out she's in charge of setting up romantic weekends for ghost hunters.
She hates the idea of being thrown headfirst into a spooky world she knows only too well, but when a recent murder comes to light and the ghost asks for help, Lorna is drawn into the mystery.
A killer is hiding close by, and Lorna is determined to find them. She’s grateful she has Helen by her side to supply the tea and treats. Dealing with a house crammed full of ghosts is exhausting.
As the mystery deepens, the house ghosts cause Lorna problems, while Helen has to get to grips with a giant iguana who has fallen in love with her.
Then another murder takes place, and it's eerily similar to the first killing.
With the police closing in on the wrong suspect, Lorna must move fast. Can she stop the killer before they strike again, and save an innocent man from being charged with double murder? And will Helen help a lonely iguana find his forever home?
There will be ghosts, humor, romance, treats, and murders to solve in this cozy ghost mystery.

This was a nice little mystery. I loved Iggy the iguana and the unique friendship he had with the dogs- so sweet! The mystery wasn't too easy to solve, which I liked. In fact, I literally didn't know until the final clue was found right before the reveal. The ghosts were interesting but they seemed kind of shoved into the background until the very end. They only named one ghost but it would have been nice to have some history of some of the others or why they were there. Overall, a nice mystery to cuddle up with on a cold day.
Wow, I was surprised how into this book I became and quickly. The story was phenomenal and the world building was outstanding. I decided to try a few pages and before I knew it I had devoured the entire book. This book flowed so easily I didn't realise I had read the entire thing until I had turned the last page. Wow!! Will definitely be following this author from now on.
Five stars for this excellent series! Loved all the characters both human and animal. Well written and fun and exciting story lines. I'd recommend these to everyone who loves a good ghostly mystery.
The pages literally turned themselves, I was so absorbed. Wonderful characters (I love the friendship between Lorna and Helen, their respective partner's an all the pets), great plot and lots of laughter. Excellent!!!
Great storyline with lots of mystery with another addition to the critter family. This series has great characters & is a lot of fun to read. I can't wait to see how everyone is doing in the next book.
