This is book 2 in the Discord’s Desire series, and I *think* I probably should have read book one before this one. There was . . .something . . .missing but I’m not entirely sure what! That’s what I felt all the way through, and you know I am ALL about the book feelings!
Danica is desperate. She needs out of her loan and the only way to be totally safe is destroy the holder of her marker. But she needs help from the one person she never thought she could ask. Trevor knows what it is like to be a part of the holder’s menagerie, he was there for years. But Danica already betrayed the only people Trevor called family. Can he trust her, to do the right thing? Can he act on this intense desire to make her his? Can Trevor face his demons, and walk away from Danica after?
The missing . . .something . . aside, I did enjoy this. This group is a mixed bunch, of various paranormal beings, and I did like them. They are different and interesting and engaging.
It’s quite dark in places, given what Trevor went through while in captivity, and what Danica has had to do to keep her and her sister alive, but I think it’s needed. It’s also all kinda of hella sexy! Danica and Trevor’s attraction is powerful and they both feel it, from before and even more so now. They try to “get it out of their system” and that doesn’t work so well and only makes them both want more. More sex, yes, but just MORE of everything to do with each other.
I liked that they are both scared to open up to each other, that they fight the emotions so darn hard! But they both fall fast and they fall hard.
I can’t figure out what’s missing, for ME though, and it’s driving me nuts!
So I’m going to leave it at this:
I enjoyed it, greatly. Will I continue the series? I hope to be able to. Will I go back and read book one? Damn right I will!

To say that I had my doubts about this book would be an understatement. I mean Danica? Really? If you're familiar with the series, you'll understand, if not - well, no spoilers here. Anyway, I really like Trevor and wanted so much more for him. I should've known better than to doubt because Katherine McIntyre not only changed my mind about the character, she had me on the edge of my seat as Danica and Trev found one kind of danger after another. This second book in the series finds our favorite fae rockers doing what they do best, on the stage and off. The pace is fast, the romance is steamy, and action doesn't let up. Another winner from this author.

HYPNOTIZING BEAT is the second book in the Discord's Desire series, and we reunite with our notorious rockers. We find out that Kieran and Liz are blissfully happy still, but Trev is edging closer to the edge with every sleepless night. Of course, the massive bounty on his head might have something to do with his insomnia, but it isn't the only cause. Danica's past has also risen up to bite her behind, and she needs the help of Trev. The only trouble is... the band haven't yet forgiven or forgotten how she treated them when they needed her.
I will admit to being slightly dubious when I heard Danica was the main female in this story. I didn't like how she behaved in book one (just like the rest of them), and I couldn't see how my opinion would change. As you may have realised, it did. There was enough information given to make you realise the reasons Danica did what she did, and why. That doesn't mean I trust her though. Oh no. I'll leave that to the others!
Full of action, quick-witted one-liners, raucous shenanigans, there is always something going on. The story moves along at a swift yet steady pace, giving you enough detail to enhance your enjoyment whilst not overloading you.
A great addition to the series, and definitely recommended by me.

Even though each book focuses on a different couple, I do recommend reading Captivating Melody first before beginning this one. I believe it will give you a better foundation to understand and follow the background stories.

There’s tension between Danica and Trevor’s band, and they are trying to decide if they can trust her after what happened in the first book. Even though this is true, the chemistry between Trevor and Danica is still through the roof.
I loved being back with the members of Discord’s Desire, and I quickly became engrossed in the storyline. It’s full of action, drama, suspense, and steamy scenes. I can’t wait for the next book in the series, and I’m hoping it will be Jett’s story!

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This is the second book in a series that focus on the members of Discord's Desire a fae band. We are now in Las Vegas where the band crosses paths with Danica once again. She is on the run from the same person that one held Trevor captive for a long time. The two plan to work together to being this person down. Trevor is not sure he can trust her after what she has done. (If you are not sure what I am talking about you have to read the first one first). I like that each book focuses on a different couple in each one, but I would recommend that you read them in order. There did feel like there was somethng missing from this book. Maybe some more back ground or a story line. It felt incomplete, but did not stop me from loving the characters and the antics they go up to.

Hypnotizing Beat by Katheryn McIntyre is the second book in the Discord’s Desire series. In this book, the Fae band Discord’s Desire’s members are in Las Vegas when the run into some trouble. One member of the band, Trevor is on the run from another Fae who held him captive in a cage for years. Trevor and another Fae Danica who is also on the run hatch a plan to bring down there oppressor once and for all. This book is full of excitement, adventure, and suspense. The characters were unusual and entertaining. This is the perfect read for anyone who enjoys an interesting book with a side of sexy romance. Hypnotizing Beat is a Fae tale full of suspense, adventure, and love.

Hypnotizing Beat (Discord's Desire #2) by Katherine McIntyre is a great story to read. This is book number two in this great series that I have really enjoyed reading very much. I recommend this story to everyone who likes reading about fantasy, contempory and paranormal romances in their stories.

Danica Maslanka caused lots of grief with her treatment of the band, Discord’s Desire, when they needed her to be there for them. They still haven’t forgotten nor forgiven her for letting them down. Trust once broken takes time to rebuild. Trevor Arceneaux wants nothing to do with her but now she needs him to help her -- if they can deal with the baggage from before.
This book focuses on the story of Danica and Trevor, and the obvious tension with the band as they try to decide if she can be trusted. Regardless of the issues, there is some major chemistry going on between the two characters as Trevor falls deeper and deeper for her. Betrayal now would be devastating. Their story line gives us plenty of action, drama, and suspense to deal with. Grab your copy and stay in the story that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

Discord's Desire is a really fun series. Trevor and Danica were passionate but I do feel I might have missed some world building by starting on the second book.
Both Trevor and Danica have some major baggage and trust issues they bring to the relationship but McIntyre does a great job of working the tension between them. Some truly steamy moments and the action drives the whole time.
The series seems to be set up with one book per couple but the through line story has enough going on I would not suggest reading out of order. I will certainly be going back and reading the first one. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.

Set amidst the excitement of Vegas, once again our rag-tag bunch of Rocker Fae did not disappoint!! The snark, the antics, the action, and the absolute fun of this group held me captive all the way through. I'm so glad the Author picked Danica and Trevor to be next in the series because they began to hold my heart in the first book and left me floored at what happened between them. One particular adventure had me grinning ear to ear from beginning to end in the quest for a bargaining chip. (Did you really think I was going to give my favorite part away?) Each a prisoner of their respective pasts, they muddled through unthinkable odds to free themselves, break down walls, and give in to what they each could not deny any longer. Together with the rest of the crew, they went up against a common enemy and blazed a trail that singed my kindle as I gripped it tight in suspense and white-knuckled thrills!! It's a can't miss read with a whole host of lovable characters!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!
