Protecting Beca is a novella and part of the Special Forces: Operation Alpha series.
This is one of those quickie books, you know, because it's a novella, that will have you hanging on to see what happens next!
A bit insta-love, a bit insta-lust, a bit romantic suspense. It's all there. And it's such fun!
I love the bromances between Dalton and Jase and the others. And the girls? Well, Beca comes with her own batch of friends that are so much fun you'll be wishing for friends like these.
Fun story, a bit suspenseful, and just the right amount of chemistry between Beca and Jase to make you want just a little more. I can't wait to see what else can happen in this world.

Protecting Beca was such an awesome book. Very quick read since it's a novella but that made it even better for me.
I did not want to put this down when reading. The story just drew me in and kept me wondering what was coming next.
The chemistry that awakens between Beca and Jason is awesome and I found myself visualizing the story in my head as I was reading. Definitely a must read!!!

Loved this book! It has a great storyline with the kind of romance you would want in your life.
Jason is a good looking SEAL not searching for love, but is love listening?
Beca is on holiday with her friends, but is a great time all she finds on this island?

Jason is back from deployment and his friends invite him on vacation with them. while he doesn't want to be the 5th wheel he does need to relax and take a break. Beca and her friends keep trying to get together for a vacation but with them living all over the country and busy with work it just hasn't happened, until now . Beca and Jason meet each other on day one of vacation and the attraction is instant.. Neither has ever felt like this before and so fast. I loved this book. This is a story of Love finds you when you aren’t looking. The characters are genuine. You are immersed in the story as soon as you turn the page. The details of the setting are perfect, and what better place to find love but on an Island surrounded by beauty. I was on the edge of my seat for the boat ride. What a great demonstration of SEAL reality. And just like that it was over. Very fast read. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

Kate Kinsley has delivered another fast-paced, romantic suspense read with Protecting Beca. In this book we do get to see some old friends but this can be read as a standalone. Jase and Beca have an instant connection while vacationing in the Caribbean with their respective friends and their day cruise leads to them fighting for their lives. This will be a quick read due to the suspenseful action throughout the book that you will want to see what happens with each turn of the page. Can't wait for more SEAL reads from Kate Kinsley.

Didn't enjoy it as much as 'Protecting Ava'... Beca was too much of a wimp for me. Also... continuity... frustrates me every time. Dalton has an issue with red-heads... even warns Jason away from Beca ( based on his tempestuous red-headed sister... )... but... but... BUT Ava was red-headed too and Dalton didn't even mention this problem in his own story. Silly glitch that should've been caught... Loved seeing Cookie & Fiona tho!

Protecting Beca is an action packed and on the edge of your seats romance that has the perfect combination of everything I've come to expect from this incredible author. The descriptions of Paradise Island in the Bahamas are beautiful and leaves you wanting to jump onto a plane so you can experience them for yourself.
I really enjoyed the scenes between Beca and Jase as they got to know each other, but you just know it's the calm before the storm. And wow, what a storm it is! Kate Kinsley sure knows how to write a good villain. This is a holiday romance that packs a punch and leaves you excited for the next installment of this 5 star series.

This is a great short love story. This takes us on a journey with Jason and Becca. Jason just got done with a deployment and went on a little vacation with his friends. Becca is on a vacation with her long time friends that she hasn't seen in ages. Neither one was looking for anything besides relaxing. These two from the beginning have a strong connection. This book was beautifully written. It will suck you in and you won't realize you are done till you see the end. Great read.

Beca and Jase find each other on vacation when they were both just trying to get away from the world for a while. They have an instant connection and it is beautifully written throughout the story. Jase is a special forces op who ends up having to work with his brothers to save everyone. Another great novella in this special forces series

This was a really good story. There was plenty of romance. A lot of action and suspense. Also, I got to spend time with one of my favorite SEALs, i.e. Cookie! That always makes me happy. There is also a HEA! Sorry, no spoilers. Get this book...ASAP. You won't regret it

I enjoyed the quiet getting to know you that Jase and Beca did when they met on their respective vacations. Beca didn’t plan on meeting anyone, while Jason usual. Steamy romance, a few laughs, as well as intrigue can be found in this story. Who could resist?!

A fun romance
An enjoyable and quick read! I love seeing my favorite Susan Stoker characters again. Plus finding new characters to enjoy. My only complaint was it needed an epilogue or how they made it work.

The storyline was good, but I just didn't seem to connect with the H/H, but I did like Fiona and Cookie making an appearance in this book!

This was a first for me from Kate. And. OMGOSH. I devoured it in one setting. It was hot and steamy. And I just adored Beca and his need to protect her. It went so quick that I didn’t even realize I had finished the book until it said the end. I was so in tuned with the story that my life stopped and I survived in the book. It was a great read and it’s highly suggested by me.
