Did someone call for a badass mage to stop petty nobles from squabbling and face the real threat—unbridled Chaos?

In a world where the noble elite are supposed to fend off the threat of terrifying Chaos but instead engage in pointless, petty squabbles, young mage Siluca Meletes dreams of bringing justice to the land.

Disaster strikes Siluca and Theo’s plans. Their domain is devastated, their holdings scattered amongst other Lords, their allies forced to ally with the victors, and Theo stripped of his title and exiled. How can they rebuild after a near-total collapse?

Warning for those who don't enjoy these or read manga in public: Not everything rated M will have porn, but this one did... Like, full on sex scene. Be mindful. Got it? Good, moving on.

Unexpected help comes from a former enemy (or at least a sleezy lord) and Theo's group manages to survive the war. Then comes the dreaded face-to-face with Earl Villar Constance (the lustful Earl who only wants women mages and that Siluca was supposed to form a contract with but ran away because she didn't want to be seduced/possibly raped).

The good news is that Theo isn't going to give up Siluca and refuses to allow Villar to take her away, even if it means a demotion from Lord to knight. (And it's very sweet and Siluca gets all blushy and I ship them so much~)

Anyway, Siluca now works for Villar with Theo as his bodyguard and she's learning all about the country of Altirk. Even as someone plots to destroy it. And that's the end of the prologue...WHAT? The last 4 1/2 books were all just prologue?! This series is only supposed to have 7 volumes! (Double checks my source) Yeah, 7 volumes. We have 2 1/2 volumes left to wrap up this impending doom and finally make the Grancrest.

This series has 7 volumes.

This volume begins the Altirk arc, and I love the growing differences from the anime. Appropriately labeled MA (one explicit bed scene, ahem).
