This is one book that I wish I had when I started out alone as a business analysis consultant four years ago! I really wish. Actually, the wisdom in it could have served me when I ventured out into the technology consulting world in 2007.

I LOVE its practicality. It covers virtually everything that created stress for me when I wasn't sure of how to start out, represent and lead my business of one when I did. Karl certainly takes the guesswork out of the whole experience and journey.

I also love the multi-sided perspectives that other veterans provided in the book. That really helped to balance things and make the book richer.

This is now my BA consulting Bible.

Thanks, Karl! I really appreciate your thought leadership on the BA practice and now, consulting.

This is an excellent book for anyone looking to launch a successful career as a business analysis consultant. (But much of the advice is applicable to any technology or product development consultant.)

Chapters are practical and concise. You'll leave each knowing exactly what to do to advance your consulting career or to make it a reality.

I love that the author reached out to experts on specific topics and included chapters from them to augment his own experiences and expertise.

I searched for a book like this when I began my consulting career over 20 years ago and it didn't exist. I'm glad it now does.

Karl is an excellent author, making things easy to understand and follow. When you read his work, you can hear him speaking to you, he writes very much the way he speaks.

I only read selective chapters of this book, but I got from it what I expected to learn. In those sections he addressed issues relative to writing. Everything form organization, topic selection, editing and publishing. The rest of the book may yet be beconing to me.
