About the author

Sick of the slogging rat-race of her 9-5 job, Pandora Pine put pen to paper (literally!) to make her ambition of becoming a romance novelist a reality. She cut her teeth in the dog-eat-dog world of fanfiction, still dreaming of the day when she would be a published author. She lives in Massachusetts with her blabbermouth muse who’ s a fan of middle of the night plot twists.

In her spare time, Pandora fancies herself an amateur nature photographer. She enjoys mucking around in swamps, hiking through the woods and crawling around on her hands and knees in her backyard seeking out the perfect shot. Pandora is a fan of roadside seafood shacks and always thinks Mexican food is a good idea at the time.

Some of Pandora’s favorite things are chocolate, writing longhand with purple pens and handsome men falling in love with each other.

New to me author. This is a mm paranormal novella with a wizard and a warlock. Awesome story with hawt hawt sex. I look forward to reading more from this author and this series.

Nice enjoyable short story that I chose from a Valentine romance giveaway. Very likable characters and story which shows when you fooling with magic potions they can be like cupid's arrow -- sometimes they can hit the wrong folks. LOL

So, a group of authors got together and gave the readers a bit of Valentine treat. 43 freebies. They actually broke the internet during that first day. And people have been raving ever since. For this author, she went back to what she knew and went home to bring two delicious characters to life. Copeland's friend and warlock Onyx [what a cool name!] and wizard Dempsey got their chance to show what was hidden all along.

Holy hell was this a quick impactful, sexy romp by my sweet, talented friend Pandora. Who knew she had this in her? I love CCP [Cold Case Psychic] for sure, but these novelettes are a saucy piece of her inner thoughts. Dempsey and Onyx...the wizard and the warlock. Two men who were hot for each other but needed a little push. And boy did the push happen with one taste of a love potion. Light BDSM, tie ups, and call me "Daddy". Yes, I did cringe, y'all know my thoughts on Daddy books, but I overlooked it for the heat that encompassed. Go grab this then freebie at the time of reading, [now priced on Amazon] and hopefully Pandora will develop this short book. Fingers crossed.

Short story of Dempsey and Onyx getting together. Wish there was a little more. This was just one scene after a love potion was accidentally taken. I hope we get more of these guys in the other book. I feel like I need a little more.

I rated this book 3.5 Stars, so I rounded it up to 4 Stars. I thought this was an alright book, but nowhere on par with the other Cold Case Psychic Spin-Off Series books, as it was way too short. This story is about Dempsey and Onyx. I would’ve loved a bit more meat to this story, as Dempsey is a new character to the universe, and Onyx only briefly featured in the Haunted Souls Series, as he knows Cope. Onyx accidentally drinks an unfinished love potion thinking that it’s the tea that Dempsey mentioned was on the counter but he just meant that there’s Earl Grey tea on the counter. I hope that we get more of them in the future as I think their love story needs more, as it left me wanting more. Yes, Dempsey and Onyx’s chemistry was completely off the charts, as well as hot as hell. I definitely think they deserve more to their love story than only getting together because of a love potion. I’m looking forward to reading more books from the West Side Magick Universe. I’d recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.

This is Dempsey and Onyx's story. If you remember Dempsey is the wizard who helped Hunter with his gargoyle problem, and Onyx is the warlock who followed Copeland to Salem to find help with his psychic attacks. Dempsey is busy making love potions for clients but is overwhelmed so he invites Onyx over to help. Onyx asking for tea, accidentally drinks one of Dempsey's love potions, only it's more like a physical lust potion. These two then proceed to copulate like rabbits. Being ACE this doesn't do much for me. I do hope Dempsey and Onyx redeem themselves to me in further stories, because I like the found family aspect of this series, and hope it continues to grow.

😃 Quick Read

This short novella was a quick read. I'm thinking that referring to it as a brief interlude would be an appropriate way to describe it. (The events in this novella probably happen in less than a 2 hour period of time.)
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE PANDORA'S COLD CASE PSYCHIC SERIES & ITS SPIN-OFFS -- but this novella just isn't really a complete story (& I don't think it was meant to be). So, it really is ok for what it is - but do realize that it isn't a "complete" story with a full plot.

This is a very quick Valentine's read that fits in with the Cold Case Psychic series though is also a stand alone.
It's a speedy, enjoyable romp with a great story for Dempsy and Onyx. There's an obvious connection/attraction between the two and even with such a short story, Pandora gives them a good chance to explore each other and leave us wanting more.
A recommendation for anyone looking for a short, hot read and those who are invested with all characters in the Cold Case universe.

Delightfully steamy and fun read! These MC's are so different in demeanor and attitude that i loved how they found common ground for a few hours. The 'love potion' broke down some barriers and now i want more of their story.

This short story is well written with the MC's showing us some great possibilities in their character development. Dempsey and Onyx are intense and interesting characters and i would enjoy seeing their journey develop from attraction to love.

This was way too short to really get invested in the characters. I love Pandora Pine and all of her books, but this could’ve been so much more. I wish it wasn’t a potion that brought them together but something of value. Yes, they had chemistry, but the story was too brief to really get a feel for it.

Woof what an explosive quickie

Serendipitous accidents are usually fated and this sexy duo only needed a spark to set off a hot and consuming desire for what both have really wanted since they first met. A very tasty treat for all of us to enjoy with a hot bit of Cajun meat in our wizard in residence.

This was a fun little escape. Dempsey and Onyx have terrific chemistry, and when Onyx accidentally drinks a cup of love potion Dempsey was making for a client, wow! Things got hot fast.
I enjoyed this sexy story and I hope to see the relationship of Onyx and Dempsey grow as the Cold Case Psychic and related Haunted Souls series continue.

This is a cute sex-pollen (*cough* I mean love potion) story that is exactly what it says on the tin. The writing is clear with a good voice and I very much enjoyed it. Perfect for a quick, hot read. CW for dubcon because of the pollen, I mean potion. (If you're not getting the sex pollen reference, it's a fanfic staple I loved seeing out in "the wild").

Not for me.

I hate to say this but Love Potion 69 left me cold and in a way, I wish I hadn't read it. The whole issue of a love potion and consent has made me feel decidedly icky. I can't help but feel now that Dempsey and Onyx need either a full length book or a novella to address this.

Not much of a story. The blurb just about covers everything, though the heat in the scene fairly jumps off the page. I’m not sure if I want Dempsey & Onyx together as a couple, but it was fun to see Dempsey drop his guard (and his pants) to finally let loose on Onyx (and vice versa). Sometimes guys just need to get things out of their systems.

I wanted to like this one but I feel weird about love potions. It feels like consent is blurred when you essentially drug someone into loving or sleeping with you. I also found this one to have some formatting issues.

This was a super hot short read about a main character (Onyx) who accidentally drinks a love potion made by, Dempsey, that he thought was just tea. The rest of the story is beautifully erotic and I'm hoping that they stay together after the potion rubs off. Very passionate read. =)

I'm sorry for me. This book toes the line of consent way too much for me to be comfortable to be with. If he was a better person, he would have protected him from doing something he would regret when this wears off. Just be warned.
