Rate this book
The prominent philosophy professor Dr. Peter Kreeft of Boston College once Every great philosopher has philosophized about it. Every great writer has written about it. And every active person has acted on it. It is the quest for the summon bonum, the greatest good, the ultimate meaning and purpose of life, the answer to the Why was I born? Why am I living? In this book I seek to answer these questions recognizing that if there is a God out there, why did he put me here? What is the reason for my earthly existence? I hope the insight in this book might enable you to understand what is the reason for life. -Richard E. Simmons III

I’m a huge fan of Richard Simmons. I have all of his books. When this book was released I bought 15 copies for my friends. The True Measure of a Man is, perhaps, my fav book of all time. But this one moved me a bit less than others. Richard is always great, but I like some of his other books better.
