What a woman like Juliana ever saw in a dirty roughneck Marine like me I’ll never understand. But I’m a man who knows what he wants, and I wanted her . I stole her heart, made her my wife, and saw the rest of my life with her.
…And then, I died.
At least, that’s what the man who left me for dead told her while I sat in chains, forgotten in a Taliban prison for five damn years .
Five years in a pit in the desert does something to a man. It’s made me hardened, feral, and wild. It’s made me hungry for the one woman I ever wanted, and driven to the brink of madness to have her soft curves in my rough hands again. Five years in h*ll have made me ready to move heaven and earth to get my bride back in my arms.
My enemy tried to bury me and take what’s mine. Except, he didn’t dig deep enough. Because I just broke out of my prison, and now?
Now I’m coming back to reclaim what’s mine .
Five years ago, Juliana thought she lost me. A week ago, I came back from the dead. Tonight, I’m stealing her back.
‘Til death do us part?
Oh, it’s going to take a lot more than that…
Looking for hotter than h*ll and sweeter than sin? This one’s all the feels, all the heat, and an utterly committed alpha hero totally obsessed with reclaiming his one and only. So go find something new and something blue, and hold on tight!
As with all my books, this standalone novella is safe, with no cheating, and a HEA guaranteed.
#1 bestselling contemporary romance author Madison Faye is the dirty alter ego of the very wholesome, very normal suburban housewife behind the stories. While she might be a wife, mom, and PTA organizer on the outside, there’s nothing but hot, steamy, and raunchy fantasies brewing right beneath the surface!
Tired of keeping them hidden inside or only having them come out in the bedroom, they’re all here in the form of some wickedly hot stories. Single-minded alpha hero, sinfully taboo relationships, and wildly over-the-top scenarios. If you love it extra dirty, extra hot, and extra naughty, this is the place for you! (Just don’t tell the other PTA members you saw her here…)
"Reclaiming His Wife" is the story of Juliana and Russell.
The hero is betrayed at war and presumed dad, only to return five years later. Now he has to reclaim his wife, punish the traitor and make up for the lost time. Loads of drama and flashbacks, mixed with revenge and hot sex. Not a typical Madison Faye novel but was enjoyable in parts.
I enjoy this serious cuz they are good second chances for these couples and this one was good.. its a steamy fast pace book!!
i felt for Juliana thinking your husband died in combat and years later (5) forced to marry a guy you hate to save your company.. then find out everything is a lie and your OTT alpha dead (not dead) husband is alive and taking you away from your wedding from the douche who set him up and left him for dead.. and man the reuinon was non stop fking!! So if you are not into tons of sex pass it.. but lordddd that mouth 5 years without sex or the touch of your partner..so cant blame them lol
i did wish we got more payback on Darren... he deserves hell.. and wish it was longer :( there was less plot more make up sex.. 😂😂😂
Low angst, no ow drama no om drama unless you count the creepy betrayer Darren, no cheating, sexy dirty times, slight drama, no virgins (but they were eachothers first)
Recommended- Yes/Maybe Cover-⭐⭐⭐⭐
Second chance Flashbacks Masturbation No condom Seperation for 5 years both celibate (she never dated even when she had to get married to darren she never kissed him touched him nothing and be was locked in another country jail cell) Slight Anal play Mentions of home videos ;) Hea Epilogue

So why not 4 or 5 stars? Because it is VERY short and there is not much story to tell. Hero & heroine met, fell in love, married & got separated for 5 years when Hero was serving overseas & was captured by Afgan men due to a traitor of one of his "brothers" (the heroine's fiancee who blackmailed her to marry him). Hero finally breaks through his jail (though why he couldn't have done it sooner then 5 yrs is beyond me) and goes to church to stop wedding. He kidnaps his wife & they have a 2nd honeymoon in which after chapter 1 to the very last, they have sex and not much else. Then the end in which bad guy is captured by Hero placing one phone call & HEA.
So while I loved that we finally have an Alpha Hero (NOT a Manho! Hallelujah!!) & a heroine who were both celibate (they met in Highschool & married after college & were each other's "first" & "only") and a sweet reunion, unfortunately there was not much story and all those sex scenes had me skipping pages until I read this under 30 minutes! That was a record for me!
3.5 Stars This was a good story. I really liked the story part of this book but it had a little too much sex in it, I can’t believe I just said that. Both characters were enjoyable and had intense chemistry between them. Safety and Spoilers Completely safe, both have only been with each other! Both celibate during their separation. H went through unimaginable torture for five years.
Juliana was left devastated five years ago when the only man she would ever love Russell was killed working with the marines. Her heart shattered she has tried to live her life but knows she will only ever belong to him. But her family business has run in to hard times and she’s left with a choice marry a man she doesn’t like or trust to save the business and all the workers jobs or live in a memory lost forever?
Russell has dreamt of nothing but getting back to the love of his life for the past five years, his marine brothers killed and betrayed by one of their own. Russell will have his vengeance but first he wants his wife back where she belongs in his arms and away from the man who destroyed it all. Returning from the dead isn’t as easy as he thought but he’s no longer a ghost and he’s back for what’s his.
Not my fave book by this author but still an entertaining read with enough heat to maybe need a new battery for your kindle. 3.5 🌟🌟🌟Read.
Reclaiming His Wife is a second chance at romance read that'd short, sweet, full of sexy fun times, slight angst, and some drama. This book packed quite the punch.
This barely had a plot! It was all graphic sex. I don't mind sex scenes but come on. I wanted more. I loved, loved, loved the beginning! He interrupted her wedding to the evil dude but come on! If he had both back from his captivity he would have told them about the evil guy. He was a traitor for goodness sake and his escape from ISIS would have been FrontPage news. It just boggled my mind. I am glad she was faithful and being forced into the marriage to the bad guy but it just wasn't believable. The opening scene was awesome but after that it was just gratuitous sex and I just felt it was not romantic. I will read the author again and this book is totally safe. In KU and very very short. I did love them.
“Reclaiming His Wife” is quite a bit more than a professionally written, fast-paced, OTT, erotic fantasy, featuring a smoking hot, swoon worthy Marine. The novella also reminds readers of the sacrifices made every day by those who serve, and the family members left behind. The author skillfully manages to coalesce a fun, erotic story-line with the heartbreaking reality that these individuals knowingly accept the ultimate risk, to ensure our safety as well as liberty here at home. Incorporating radical terrorist, one treasonous villain, forgotten gold and a little help from a friend, the fast-paced, action-packed narrative follows the hero from being held in a forbidding pit in Afghanistan, to a church altar where his faithful, grieving wife is being coerced into a loveless marriage. The wild ride continues as the couple reunites (oh yeah, that kind of reunion) after five long years of separation.
“Reclaiming His Wife” is fun, erotic, poignant and uplifting with an underlying, profound message we must never forget.

Reclaiming His Bride is Sexy, Intimidating, Doting & loving intense novel just like its predecessors. The love between Julianna and Russell is majorly goals. Madison isn't called the sex goddess for no reason. She ignites passion & longing in her characters that connect stunningly with the readers. Those feelings, chills up one's spine, drooling over male alphas and our loyal female heroines are always worth catching for! Claiming ceremony is worth looking out for. We get dirty rough sex along with snippets of love making scenes. It's fast paced, short & a perfect read once again by MADISON FAYE.
Reclaiming His Wife by Madison Faye is a 2nd chance at love romance read that is full of great characters, amazing plotline and a flow that is on point- not too slow or too fast. Just Right. Sexy Heat and Sizzling Romance. Combined with drama, angst , betrayal , loss , passion, and true love. This is what I found myself hooked and immediately glued to. Russell and Julianna are the main characters who bring the feels!! Amazing 2nd chance HEA!!!
So while it took me a few days to finish this book it is certainly one you can normally finish in a few hours. The romance was hot and the passion was real. Russell escapes five years of captivity to return home to his wife, the one reason he fought to survive the whole time. After being betrayed by his fellow teammate (which is a big huge NO NO in any military group) is locked away and declared dead to his friends and family. I was happy to see Russell go straight for what he wanted: his wife. He made plans along the way to seek revenge on the man who betrayed him and nearly married Russell's wife via some blackmailing on his part, and lets not forget how he got the rest of Russell's team killed. Russell gets back his girl and the two can barely take their hands off each other. It was a romantic read but also sizzling. If you are looking for a short but hot read, I would highly recommend this one.
This story was so different from the usual Madison Faye stories. I loved it! I hope we get more longer and involved stories like this one. Jules and Russel dealt with some pretty heavy stuff. The story touches on PTSD and the horrors of war. They do get their HEA and luckily we don’t have to wait long for them to be together again.
Reclaiming His Wife is another shorter sweet and sexy read by Madison Faye. In this story, we get Russell who is a marine but has a not so good history of being honest, who is put into prison by the Taliban who is working with one of his marine guys. While Russell is in jail, his wife thinks he is dead and is blackmailed into marrying another man.
Juliana is about to walk down the aisle when she hears a motorcycle and sees her husband sitting on it. She does not say "I Do" to her soon to be husband.
Again this is a sexy story that ends in a happy ever after.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book 5 Stars Madison Faye has done it again I loved Reclaiming His Wife so much I couldn’t put it down it was short sweet and dirty just the way I like it! I loved Russell and Juliana and I loved their story, I really loved how we got a glimpse at the past for both of them and to see how hard he fought to get back to his wife! Another hit Madison can’t wait to read more!
Juliana and Russell had a special love that haunted them both when they are separated. She believes he is dead and needs to move on to protect her business but is reluctant. He is determined to come back and reclaim his wife.
I enjoyed the story. They are a couple that belong together. He really has to fight to get his life back. There is some real bad actions that are discovered.
Fast-paced off the charts hot read. Russell was let for dead in a Taliban prison, it’s been five years but he has escaped and is back to claim what is his, Juliana, his wife. Is he to late or will she be his again? Great characters, loads of suspense and drama and very steamy. I really liked it.
I liked this book. It had a different story line and it pulled at my heartstrings a couple times. The characters were entertaining to follow and their love story was nice to read.
My biggest complaint for this book would have to be the flashback scenes. Sometimes I felt like they were unnecessary and threw the pacing off a little bit. It made the story feel dragged out.
A short, steamy, fast-paced, and dirty second chance romance story filled with betrayal, loss, angst, revenge, passion, love, a happily ever after, and of course... a whole lotta panty melting, toe-curling, breath taking, sizzling sex!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
This novella had a different slant to its story than the other two in the series. It was more serious, more sinister, and even more deserving of being a full-length novel. It would be nice to see the author take this trilogy and revamp all three of them into stories with more meat, more grit, a boatload more angst, and perhaps even go into greater detail about the comeuppance each villain was made to swallow. Side Note: While there was some abuse and torture in the story (physical, emotional, psychological, verbal, and mental) it was NOT between the two main characters. There was also betrayal...again NOT between the Hero and Heroine. That was all focused on the Hero and what he had to endure before returning home from the military. There was blackmail, too. But that was focused on the Heroine and was NOT by the Hero. Read the novella. You'll find out what I mean. It was, by far, the darker of the three novellas but no less gripping. The main characters were...well, I was going to say "FUN" to read about, but that's not quite true, considering all that these two had to endure, and how long they had to wait, to get to their HEA. The steam level of this story was pretty hot, but it would have been even better if there was more background that built up to each scene. I mean, it's nice to read about them going at it hot and heavy, but a girl likes to see the passion go from flat to volcanic from time to time. With that said, I believe I will give this a four-star rating and encourage others to give the novella a try.
OMG, this one is HOT! A great story that just may melt your Kindle! If you are looking for a romance with a great story of right mastering might, then “RECLAIMING HIS WIFE” should be your next romance purchase! Russel Kane, a US Marine left in the hands of the Taliban is considered dead. Five years later, he returns in time to claim his wife, Juliana, and carry her out of the church just as the priest is beginning the ceremony which will wed her to another man. And thus, begins the amazing story of Russ and Jules, the passionate love that even a five-year separation and death could not destroy, and their hope for the happily ever after they had so richly earned. I absolutely loved the way author Madison Faye set up this story and her use of flashbacks which allowed readers to experience the important events that made “RECLAIMING HIS WIFE” such an epic romance! Her prose was easy to read, the characters were tremendously well developed for such a short tale, and the CHEMISTRY between Russel and Juliana nearly melted my Kindle. (Readers 18 and older please.) Totally worth the time and price of admission, “RECLAIMING HIS WIFE” should be your next romance purchase! Happy pages! 😉

Spoiler alert... Hes betrayed for stolen gold. He planned on keeping said gold instead of turning it in, but got double crossed. A dishonest Marine is a dishonored Marine. Even if he was going to use it for good, he was in the wrong. Then, he gets out of his terrorist camp by killing everyone, makes it home in 3 weeks, rescues wife from nefarious guy who left him in Taliban hands...and they have basically a sex marathon. He gives CIA evidence of the guys evil backstabbing and they let him fly in a cargo plane of gold no questions asked. Now, I'm sure there just happens to be a guy on every corner of every small town in America that can convert gold bars into money....millions of dollars, no questions asked. And how does all these families explain suddenly falling into wealth? Just too easy and simplistic for me. It was free, if I'd have paid I would have been upset
Before I review this book, I'd like to say that I will stop reading books by Faye if she doesn't using so many italics. They're excessive and a,most always incorrect. And if she doesn't stop saying stuff like, "Vardelkini, yes that Cardellini". In nearly every book of hers I've read she does both use italics improperly and name some non person and say "yes, that . It is sssssoooooo annoying. I thought surely she wouldn't keep doing these things. I was wrong.
He kept repeating that he fought the devil. Okay, I get it. Say it once, though, not at least 3 times.
The back and forth in time was done well.
I feel like there were too many gaps or pieces that were left out. Things could have been smoother and more clear.
That all being said, it was a really good story, just not a great book. I do recommend it if you can look past the stuff above that is really super distracting.
The title is 110% on point. After enduring unimaginable 5 years of horrors in a barren hole in the ground at the hands of Afghan heathen monsters,Russell only has two things on his mind - - get back to his beautiful Julianna and making the man who created his nightmares pay a thousand deaths for his actions. This very brief book is about one-third the story of his capture and eventual escape, and two-thirds every way you can imagine him reclaiming his wife. After Russell reclaims his Jules, he spends days showing her the length and breadth of how much he missed and wants her. Although a lot of misspellings and grammatical errors, and rather brief, the feels were there, not to mention the red-hot passion.
Madison Faye has done it yet again!!! This amazing story had me from start to finish. Couldn't put it down. It was so hot I was starting to sweat;-) Russell is a very determined man, but after what he went through, it's all worth it. Five years was taken from him, no wife, no family, nothing. But when he reclaims Juliana, it gets hot a heavy baby! I felt the characters emotions, thoughts and pain. Juliana without her husband for so long hurts, but when he comes for her and she is well rewarded with what he's about to give her! ;-) The HEA is beautiful and the payback for his time away was a well deserved punishment.
This is probably a good book if you like scorching sex scenes. I don’t mind them unless they take up 75% of the book. Granted this is a short book with only 11 chapters and an epilogue, but I wanted more of the story. The story was interesting but cut short for the sex scenes. I have never read any thing by this author before and don’t want to criticize her writing. For I know this may have been an erotic book and I didn’t catch that before I started reading.
So let me summarize this review by saying it you love graphic and scorching sex scenes this is the book for you. If you read for story content, this is not the book for you.
