Oh yeah! This is what I’m talking about! A novella that is full and rich, filled with enough angst to keep it going, romance that will make you swoon, and some drama to keep it interesting. Add in another trip to Jamison Valley and a story that fans demanded since The Coppersmith Farmhouse and I am spinning with glee!

I was so freaking excited to get Milo’s story. After being burned in an explosion his story takes a back seat to the other characters in Jamison Valley. But now we get to see what r

This is a gorgeous little read. A novella in the Jamison Valley series, this is the story of local police officer, Milo and how he found his happy ending. It’s a short read, but it packs a punch with a lot of heart and a beautiful love story, and I loved it!

Milo was horribly burned in an explosion that occurred early in the series. We didn’t see a lot of him after that, except to know that he healed and met the love of his life, Sara. Well, this book takes us back to show us how Milo an

This book is everything.

If you know me at all, you know I’ve been DYING for Milo’s story... since the day I finished The Coppersmith Farmhouse over two years.
And I honestly started losing hope. I didn’t think I’d ever get his story.
But holy shit! It’s here! AND I READ IT! And now I don’t even know what to do with myself!

I’m honestly speechless.
This was everything I hoped for and more.
Milo and Sara have such a raw and emotional story. You’ll be drawn in on page one.

I wish I had more words bu

The Candle Palace by Devney Perry will warm your heart and soul!

In this wonderful novella, Devney gives us the long awaited love story of Milo & Sara. The story begins in present day Jamison Valley, 12 years after Milo's tragic accident that landed him in the burn unit of a hospital in Spokane... A hospital where he meets Sara. The connection between these two was so beautiful to be apart of. Sara gave Milo the strength and courage to pull through during his darkest moments. Love bl

I have always been a huge fan of Devney Perry’s work and her stories are always the highest on my anticipated tbr list. Having said that, some of her masterpieces also happen to be some of my ALL TIME FAVES EVER, and when I discovered she was releasing a novella as part of the Jamison Valley series, I lite

This was so unexpectedly heartbreaking and sweet. I remembered Milo being injured in a previous book and it was such a treat to get his story.

As mentioned, Milo is burnt badly in an explosion while he was working as a policeman for the local sheriff’s office. He is being treated in a hospital in Spokane, needing lots of skin grafts and numerous dressing changes every day. He is in incredible pain but there is one highlight of each day, his nurse Sara.

Sara loves her job working in the burns unit.

Devney Perry never ceases to amaze me with her romance novels and that didn't change when it came to The Candle Palace. While this is a shorter novel when compared to the other books in the series, it still moved me. How Devney can sweep me off my feet with each novel is beyond amazing and I hope all readers have a chance to read her novels. The are above par, raw, emotional (in a good way, not an ugly cry way) and so realistic that you

Milo and Sarah had a sweet story. It was really good to find out how they met and fell in love. I only wish Sarah had, had a little more, umph! In her. Kicked a certain someone in the balls.

I have loved the Jamison Valley series. This was a nice conclusion. Happy reading!

Meh

A bit awks but this didn't do very much for me. Surprising for a Devney Perry as she's usually a solid 4-5 star read for me but I wasn't feeling the feels, the chemistry wasn't there and the jeopardy didn't feel threatening or give it much tension.

On reflection, I think the prologue set me off on the wrong foot as it's set in the present where we learn who she's with then we go back see how they got together. It was kind of a big old spoiler tbh.

Standalone but part of a much better series. I

The Jamison Valley series is one of my absolute favorites! And I was so happy to learn Milo and Sara’s story was going to be told! And it’s everything that I wanted and more!

I loved the balance between the present and the past. That the love between Milo and Sara started so strongly and has defined their relationship from the start. That something so beautiful and wonderful could rise from such a tragedy and difficult time.

And I absolutely loved how The Candle Palace reminded me that love really

SOUL. This book can be summed up in one word it'll be Soul! It'll knock on the door of your heart and just echo in it for a long time. This much I can guarantee, you won't be able to put the book down and you will miss it the moment you finish it.
Beautiful Sentiments that explore oceanic depths, Real Love which climbs new heights, goes behind superficial facades and false colors of first impressions.

After reading and loving all the books in the Jamison Valley series, I felt there was a story missing so when I heard about The Candle Palace I was super excited to finally find out how Milo and Sarah met and fell in love.

If you have read The Coppersmith Farmhouse you will know that Milo was burnt badly and sent to a special burns unit for treatment.

In this book the author gives us the tale of cop Milo and nurse Sarah. Overall this was a sweet one time read, but it didn't pull on the heartstrings as potently as I would have liked.

For some strange reason the book also felt short, at least that was one of my first thoughts when I had finished.

What a great novella to finish out The Jamison Valley Series.

Milo and Sara were so sweet together. I haven’t read many forbidden hospital romances. A nurse falling for her burn patient. I love that Milo was connected to one of the other characters in this series.

“I’m grateful for the explosion. All the pain. It was worth it. To be here, lying in your bed. It was all worth it.”

Thank you for writing this book! Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to return to Jamison Valley!!!! I have missed those folks like crazy!

What a sweet story this was. Milo needed to share his heart with someone, and Sara needed someone to love.

I absolutely love the friendships that have formed between the Jamison Valley women!

I thoroughly enjoyed every single bit of this book! The love, the alpha-ness of Milo (swoon!!), the real life issues, the way they met... all of it!

I have to admit that I haven’t read this series since I finished The Clover Chapel. However, when I saw that this was going to be a novella about Milo I knew I wanted to read it. The best thing about this novella was that I never felt like I starting something at the end of a series.

This is telling the story of how Sara and Milo met. A nurse working in the burn unit falling for her patient. It was just the right about of sweet and emotional. I really enjoyed reading how they fell for one anothe

Wow. That was gorgeous. The cover definitely does this book justice. Honestly, this one was close to dethroning The Outpost as my favourite from this series, that's how fantastic it was. Considering this is a 200 page "novella", it really is a full length novel. It had a full bodied story that won't leave you unsatisfied. I was dying to hear Milo and Sara's story throughout the entire series, and I'm so glad that she went for it!

This is the novella brought me such happiness! Throughout the Jamison Valley series, Milo has made appearances and he has been the character that I have always wondered about. How does his HEA happen? What were the lasting effects of his injuries? He may have been a side character at the beginning but he made such a huge impact on the series that he for sure needed his story told!

Good story.
Well written.
Devoted Hero.
Milo and Sara.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
No cheating.
Other man drama in the sense that another man is interested but the heroine doesn't encourage him.
References to earlier books and events so best to read series in order not to spoil it.
Prologue is present time.
Chapter 1 is the heroine sharing the story of how they met.
I did feel it felt short, ending was fine but certain events felt a bit rushed to me, there could have be

The Candle Palace was such a wonderful suprise and great addition to The Jamison Valley Series. The Candle Palace might just be a novella, but this story certainly packs a punch. It will keep you on your toes and your eyes glued to the pages…

The Candle Palace follows the story of Milo and Sara. I really loved the way the author decided to tell Milo and Sara’s story. We start off in the present, Sara is surrounded by her girlfriends, one thing leads to another and Sara begins to tell the story of

I've been waiting for this forever and I am so so glad Devney wrote this novella. Milo deserved his own story and happy ending. And it was a great one at that.

Sara and Milo's relationship was so darn sweet. I love the stolen glances and how Sara was such an important part of Milo's recovery. The forbideness of their connection brought on the angst just as Sara's past with her family. I felt so much for these two. They were both going through a hard patch and were each other's

I realized this young woman was something special, when I read the first paragraph of the first book of the Jamison Valley Series, The Coppersmith Farmhouse. She immediately became my favorite author of 2018 and she has held that title in 2019.

The Candle Palace is the final book in the Jamison Valley series.

This is Sara and Milo's story.

The Candle Palace is a long novella. It mostly takes place in the past when Sara and Milo met. That part of the story lines up with the explosion that we learned about in a previous book.

The prologue and epilogue take place in the present. All of the past female narrators are there together: Georgia, Emmeline, Sabrina, Felicty, Maisy, and Sara. It was so wonderful to get to see all of these characters

This may be the shortest book in the series (it's supposed to be a long novella), but I think it was my favourite. It was missing the heavy suspense element of the other 5 books, and instead focused largely on the nurse/patient romance between Milo and Sara, the consequences of their relationship on her job, and Sara's relationship with her family. It wasn't all rainbows and smiles, but it felt a little more realistic and "normal" than some of the plot lines we've encountered previously in this ...more

This novella has all the feels.

This is the story of Milo and his HEA. He is a side character in the rest of the Jamison Valley series and is intriguing enough to warrant his own story.

The Coppersmith Farmhouse, the first in the series, explains what happens to Milo to put him in the position of meeting his one true love, Sara. Milo is hurt in an explosion and Sara is his nurse in the burn unit at the hospital. You learn about the strength each of these characters has...both as individuals and as

Oh, Milo and Sara, you have stolen my heart! You are right up there with my favorite books: The Clover Chapel, Tragic, and Letters to Molly. I completely and totally fell in love with their love story. It was gripping from the start; the pain was palpable from Milo's injuries to the unit Sara worked at. The feelings....oh so many feelings. I started this book and could not put it down until I devoured the last page. Still, I could've read so much more about them.
