Another fantastic story in this Rockwell Legacy series! This time we get Gracie’s story and it is nothing short of special just like Gracie herself!!These characters are all so deeply developed and easy to love with their quirky, charming and funny ways. I can’t get enough of them! The story itself is amazing and I would expect nothing less from Jenny Bernard.

This is an amazing story that I am glad I decided to read. This is the first book I have read in the series and I was blown away by this one so much so I am going to binge read the first three books because this story is off the hook.

In this story we meet Mark and Gracie. Mark works at the Marina that Gracie comes to too take a trip to find out who she is because she has just discovered that she is not a Rockwell like she has been told her whole entire life.

As she goes on the Marina she meets Ma

The Runaway

I adore Gracie. I love the fact that she is such a fun and sweet person. The chemistry between her and Mark is great, even if she is open about everything and he definitely isn't. Jennifer Bernard did a great job with this book and I am so looking forward to Jake's story.

I really love series that revolve around families. As we all know families can love and hate you in the same breath. There are layers to families that you don't get with friends. Growing up together since birth equals a lot of secrets. Some good, some sad.

That's what this story has. Along with some laughs and a mystery.

I've been really enjoying this series. The Rockwell family is just like most of us. They couldn't

It’s Gracie Rockwell’s turn for a story! Out of her entire family, she has always come across, to me, as someone who doesn’t take life too seriously…sort of dances to her own tune and you’d think she constantly needs saving. Nope! She can stand on her own, thank yew very much. It’s a much deeper story than I’m leading you to believe but the impression Gracie gives really sets the tone for the story.

Gracie is the youngest of the Rockwells and has always stayed close to home at Rocky Peak Lodge. W

The Rockwell Legacy is a terrific series, and I love all the characters, but Gracie's story is my absolute favorite so far. There’s just something so inviting, appealing and endearing about the baby girl of the Rockwell family. Even when an adult Gracie discovers that she was adopted as an infant by this family, she's still her bubbly, sweet, optimistic self, only now she has a mission. Following the clues originating from her old baby basinet, she ends up being drawn to surly marina owner, Mark ...more

This series is one of my favorites and this book is a fantastic addition. It's as unique as the character Gracie Rockwell herself. Gracie never felt she quite fit in with the rest of the boisterous and rowdy Rockwell Family. She knows she's loved but something just wasn't right. A reoccurring dream that seems so real, if true would explain a lot about her life and memories. Gracie sets off on an adventurous road trip to try and find the boy in her dreams. Of course he'll be a grown man now but h ...more

Do I ever love the Rockwell family! Each book just gets better and better! Here are just a few things I loved about The Runaway--

*Adorable, quirky Gracie Rockwell. She is amazing and I wish she was here in person in my everyday life.
*Grumpy, sexy Mark Castellani. He understands Gracie and her quirks. A man who appreciates a quirky girl is so darn irresistible.
*A road trip. Road trips are the best. Besides, who can resist all that late night cuddling and getting to know the person sitting right n

An Enigma and a Road Trip: THE RUNAWAY

With more twists than the Devil’s Highway, an irrepressible heroine and a brooding hero; not to mention a cast of hot siblings, Jennifer Bernard’s newest book — out today — is a “unputdownable” read. Just when I thought the lusty couple end a fight, or solve a puzzle — just when t=you think they might ride off into the sunset something else pops up to get in the way. And, there should be a “to-be-continued” emblem on

WOW!! I loved, loved, loved Gracie and Mark’s story in The Runaway by Jennifer Bernard, book four in her The Rockwell Legacy series. Gracie, the baby of the family, had a gift of visualizing memories when she touched an object attached to the memory. It was this gift that made her realize that although raised as a Rockwell, she truly was not born to the family. Instead, she was found in the forest after being saved by a six-year old boy from a “mean” man who kidnapped them. This discovery set he ...more

Gracie Rockwell knew something was different about her…she saw it in a dream…a memory. A boy, rescuing her in a bassinet. Amanda Rockwell, scooping her up and taking her home. The youngest sibling of the Rockwell family decides she needs to find out the truth of her past.

“Dear everyone. It’s about time I went off on my own and explored the world a little bit. Please don’t worry about me. I have my cell phone with me so you can always reach me. But I hope you will respect my desire for some spe

Gracie Rockwell always “felt” different from her brothers and sister. As the youngest, she never felt the need to venture out on her own and explore the world. She was happy just being Gracie and helping out at the lodge. When an old bassinet is discovered, Gracie has visions of being found in the bassinet, in the woods. Sensing that she may not be a true Rockwell, Gracie strikes out on her own in search of answers as to who she really is.

Mark has always been the guy to hire misfits. And Gracie

Another winner by Jennifer Bernard!! I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book that I have read in this series, but I have them all. I am not a fan of reading a series out of order, but to honor the request for a review I did it. I'm sure I was missing some info from the other books (since I knew about them), but you would have never known it as you were reading along.

Gracie made me smile. She was such a loving and caring person you just couldn't

Discovering Gracie Rockwell was not a biological Rockwell came as a big surprise. Though that is only the start.

She wastes no time trying to discover who the boy in her memories is. Mark has grown up nicely. There are some clear traumatic issues he’s not dealing with properly, but he quite likes his life. Though the moment Gracie enters it again, he just knows there is going to be trouble.

Digging further into where Grace came from, and who her family is, the more mysterious it gets. I honestly h

Another great story about one of the Rockwell siblings. I have really enjoyed the mystery that has run through all the books. It all started with the death of the Rockwell matriarch years ago and during each book more of the mystery is unearthed. For every question that gets answered a new question pops up. I really liked Gracie’s story, she is the youngest Rockwell, and until recently her life had been ideal at the lodge her family owned and ran. After Gracie had a flashback of her childhood sh ...more

The Runaway ran away with my heart. Gracie is the youngest of the Rockwell children and the most unusual. She is the carefree spirit and the one they have all depended upon to stay at home and be with their father. Since the rest of her siblings are all making their way back home, Gracie can find what she's been missing. After her vision, she has the start of her journey which leads her to Mark. The history between them is fascinatingly scary.
Gracie seems to be the flighty one of all the kids.

Gracie...youngest of the Rockwell kids. A dreamer of dreams and a marcher to her own drum. Loving everything about her family and their lodge. A free-spirit. Then, reality comes crashing down and Gracie feels she must leave everything she knows and loves, to find out her truth.

Mark Castellani. Gracie needs answers and Mark may be the keeper of the key to unlock the Rockwell mystery. Becoming his employee might or might not be a good thing since he doesn't know her quirkiness at first and treats

Gracie Rockwell has grown up enveloped by her father, sister and, brothers. She has always felt that something was missing. She's always been a bit of a sensitive and, when she touches her bassinet, she has flashes of a boy, running with her through the woods. Gracie finally decides she needs to leave home to find out what really happened when she was a child and, what has always made her feel different from the rest of her family.

At last... Gracie's turn...

Gracie… She’s had a special place in my heart since we were introduced to the Rockwells, and her story does not disappoint. Her quest to find out who she is, leads her to Mark at his marina. A horrific childhood incident irrevocably changed the lives of these two people. Whereas she wants to know what happened, Mark has been trying to forget and cope with his emotional scars. The story takes you on a roller-coaster adventure as the two join forces.

A romantic mystery…

Funny. Serious. Mysterious. Tangled. Sexy. Family-filled. This story was many things in a well-written, romantic package! The main characters were polar opposite in temperament and outlook on life, which made their pairing that much sweeter…

Gracie was quirky, fun loving and happy to go with the flow as she searched for answers. Broody Mark was NONE of those things as he continued to deal with a past that haunted and hindered him. Together, found truth and honesty as

The Runaway is a romantic mystery by Jennifer Bernard. It is a stand-alone novel although it is the fourth book in the Rockwell Legacy. This one is about Gracie, the baby of the Rockwell family. She is somewhat psychic and has a vision when she touches certain things. When she grabs her old baby bassinet, she "sees" an event in her life as a baby. This leads to the discovery that she was not born a Rockwell. Gracie sets out on a journey of discovery, following clues to find her birth mother. She ...more

He owns a marina, and Gracie starts working for him.

This riveting mystery drew me right in from the start. The characters are strong and likeable. Gracie Rockwell is kind of an old soul in a 23 year old body. She has suddenly remembered she was left in the woods as a baby. The story revolves around finding the 6 year old boy who saved her. I do not like that this book is left as a cliff hanger so I have to wait to see how this mystery concludes. I know this is fiction but I had a hard time with a 23 year old having flashbacks of being kidnapped a ...more

Gracie has been one of my favorite characters since the series started. She was always in the background as a bit of a free spirit and the one who never left home.
