This was a book club book and normally I don’t enjoy reading mysteries or police procedurals but once I started reading this book I was unable to put it down.

Solid account of an interesting and bizarre case. Bonus sub-plots include (spoiler warning) deputies getting drunk with the sequestered jury they are supervising and the Circuit Attorney getting busted for soliciting a prostitute.

Although the book had the makings of a great book, I felt it got bogged down with the trial and investigation. It was double sad to see how the jury behaved. The pictures were absolutely haunting. A life so tragically gone.

True murder mystery based on a case in St Louis in the late eighties. Interesting to read, especially if you are from St Louis!

This was just a quick true crime read. I breezed through it in a few days. Oddly enough, there's practically nothing to be found about this case online.
