About the author

I exchanged the cement, chaos, and car fumes of San Francisco suburbia for the cleaner, quieter lifestyle of Oregon years ago. This liberation slowed me down, opening my mind to the joys of simplicity and a clearer head.

Years of introspection, education and related jobs sparked my passion for people watching, and one thing really jumped out at me; most all of us are trying to cram too much into our days. I knew there had to be a better way than the stress of constant busyness. Some people thrive on the energy of “full speed ahead”, but I try hard to help myself and others put the breaks on. What a relief!

My blog, Weeding Out the Crap, offers simple suggestions on how to make life easier. Helping yourself into a more positive frame of mind makes life more satisfying.
