An introduction to the seasons, these flipbooks can be read forward, backward and upside down! Designed by award-winning graphic designer Dale Nigel Goble and written by communications expert Kate Colley, Winter Days Spring Days and its companion title, Summer Days Fall Days , showcase the best of the season's activities in vibrant illustrations and rhyming verse. Chilly walks and fuzzy wool socks. Little babies in their nest, and robins showing off their best.
Bright colors. Short sentences. Simple images. The perfect ingredients for a children's book 0-2 . The design is very clever as it flips to change the season with good choices for colors and images for WINTER and SPRING. I could see a three year old enjoying this, an easy book for kids to memorize and share with younger siblings. A good tool to not only expose a child to seasons but also to change. LOVED IT.
Like its companion book, Summer Days Fall Days, the art is good, featuring solid colors, good lines, and decent frames. The words and sentences are simple and accessible, with a good balance of familiar and new words for developing speakers and readers. So Rowan has a good time. Never rushing to read it though, but doesn't reject it either. His favorite part is where the two halves meet; he loves the upside down page, and will sit and turn the book around and around. So that's cute.
I received an electronic ARC from Orca Book Publishers through NetGalley. Board book Brightly colored illustrations and simple text introduce young readers to the joys of these two seasons - winter, spring. Each season has its own story told from opposite sides of the book (flip book). This book works as an individual and group read aloud. Readers can draw information from the illustrations to understand the text.
Two books in one, kind of flipable book, where you can flip it in reverse and start by the end/other side. This book present both winter and spring (another book does summer and falls). Each season is presented through various activities and things to do. All of it is well illustrated in an original and colorful way. It’s the perfect example of a simple book, but perfectly executed! Good job!

This was a rather cute book about the seasons. Even though the flip book function didn't work very well for my kindle/ebook ARC I received via Netgalley, I like the concept. My son and I enjoyed reading it together. Great artwork in general.
A big thank you to NetGalley and Orca Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is a children's book. It is a flip book with winter on one side and spring on the other. It is a cute book with nice graphics. The rhyming is fun. And I think children will enjoy this book. It's simple but charming. 4 stars
I received a free ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Very bright and colorful. Short sentences. Would work well as a beginning reader. While the cover didn't draw me in, I think younger kids will like it.
Great little children's book with bright colors and flipping fun. It tells of all kinds of ways to enjoy the winter and spring seasons. Wonderful for little ones!
Thank you to the publisher and author for providing me with a digital ARC of this title via Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
Cute children's picture book that I can see would be very engaging and interesting for young children. Nice bold pictures and bright colors. Simple storyline and a fun addition that the book can be flipped to reveal a second book from the back.
A simple rhyme made into a simple book. It’s a flibflob book, meaning one side is winter, and one side is spring. Each story is a simple rhyme about the season, with simple pictures as well. Simple is not an insult, because this book is exactly what it needs to be. An uncomplicated book for uncomplicated readers.
