Patrick Wensink was born in Deshler, OH in 1979. Since that time he has done a lot of things he is not proud of. But he's also done some pretty interesting stuff. Over the years he has bottled and sold his own line of Wentastic BBQ Sauce, got married in a doughnut shop and even found the time to author a few greeting cards.

The Louisville Courier-Journal called Sex Dungeon for Sale!, "A deliciously dark and funny book," which probably made his mom very happy.

The illustrations in this book will be entertaining and engaging for all kids. The basic premise is that all of the gorillas are always sleeping at the zoo because they're busy having a dance party together at night. The book invites kids to see the gorillas awake by joining in their dance parties.

In this silly and fun bedtime book, the narrator decides to reveal that the reason the gorillas are always sleeping when you drive by them on a safari tour is because they are doing dance parties all night... but of course, the tour guide Jungle Jed wants the gorillas to go to bed so they'll be fresh in the morning for a tour.

The safari gorillas are never awake when children go by. But after bedtime the jungle's rockin' with dancing apes! No matter how many times Jungle Jed, the safari coordinator, demands they go to bed, the gorillas get up to boogie!

Children will love this one in storytime.

Every wonder why gorillas are always sleeping at the zoo. This book has the answer. They have an all night dance party. They are some party animals.

This book is a funny comedy. I bet my niece and nephew would have loved this as kids. This is the kind of stuff that loved - silly and fun.

The artwork is energetic and colorful. Everything in the book has a sense of fun.

This is the type of book that most children are going to love.

Apes appear to be boring when you see them during the day. They nap and lay around. But at nighttime they party and dance. Jungle Jed keeps coming back to put them back to bed. Rhyming verses.

This book pairs fun rhymes with colorful images. Great read-a-loud! I just think it's a bit lacking in story line and development.

The gorillas are getting ready for bed, but it gets a little raucous. The artwork is fun and I could see this being a bedtime favorite for young children.

Entertaining, but not a fan of how gorillas are portrayed in this one. It's also not clear how this is a bedtime tale given that it seems to suggest that it's fun to stay up after your caretaker tells you to go to bed (and that if you keep playing enough, then your caretaker will loosen up and join you?).
