Worth fighting for

Loved this book and the whole series. I think this is my favourite G. Bailey series so far. I read it is continuing with spin off, but I will get to those later.

The final battle is coming Evie must unite her people with the hope of a better future, and herself for the ultimate sacrifice. It all come down to this.

This is a great book and ending to this series. A lot was promised and I think this book delivered in every way. My only complaint is it is over I would happily read more if it. Evie never really got to use her sword, there has to be a book written for just that right?

This was a decent enough series. The books are sooo quick that even the pretty detailed plot seems to lack a certain amount of depth for a series of four. Evie is still a pretty awesome character and if you’re looking for a decent and quick RH series, this will certainly do. Having fought and won the trials against her twisted sister, now Evie can settle into life as a Queen and ruler. Hard to think how she’ll manage her time since she also has four mates but I guess she makes all the rules 😉 Love that she got a familiar who was so devoted to her and now a growing family and a HEA to boot.

Why Does It Have to End???

I am so at a loss for words after reading this fantastic finale to Evie's story. There are so many surprises that will blow your mind and the end is so sweet it about made me cry. Great World building with characters you can love. Total must read!!! I loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

I liked how this series started. I enjoyed books 1 & 2 BUT books 3 & 4 were, frankly, meh. And boy! Were they super short! So much so, that books 3 & 4 felt so rushed. I couldn't connect to any of the characters and the scenes/interactions seemed so superficial. *shrugs* Honestly, I'll be deleting this entire series from my Kindle. Sorry.

Runes of Royalty is the perfect conclusion to G Bailey’s A Demon’s Fall series.
The emotions, challenges and wonderful storyline will have you addicted to the ending of Evie’s story. This is a series that I highly recommend and dans if G Bailey will definitely enjoy this series.

On the plus side to this series ending, it seems that G Bailey will be continuing with this world in a spin-off. I’m looking forward to reading all about Hali in the future books.

I got invested

It was a good series and I enjoyed the story. I got invested in the characters lives, although that leads to my one and only complaint. I feel like this story was less about the romance between characters and mostly about the main character herself. I like to get attached to the men in the story. I’m not saying I didn’t fall in love with Vi and all her steamy love interests, I just wanted more depth and more scenes with them together.
The book itself was rushed and I honestly felt like it could have been longer. But, the writing definitely made up for it. She made you feel like you were watching a movie the way she described scenes with just enough detail and not too much.
In the end I would definitely recommend this series. And besides my complaints, I will be reading it again during quarantine.

So in this exciting conclusion, Queen Evie is a queen of Protectors and demons. Her forces are diminished and she needs the help from the army of angels and reapers to battle the black magic. Her chances look slim and even the ancient one is not able to save her life. She is fated to face many deaths before peace finally comes to the Protectors and demons.

I felt it was inevitable for the story to come full circle for Evie. It was a bit anticlimactic getting there. She wasn't fully stretched to her limit and capabilities as a leader. Inexperienced and raw. I wish the story elaborated her rulership.

So it ended. It was the ending I expected, a HEA but I have a hard time believing after who knows how many years of conflict every species was like ok cool we'll follow you random woman as our Queen. Also her men. Four books and I still don't get why they all fell hard enough for her that they were willing to be Poly. Especially when you consider it's not a part of Protector culture. So three extremely attractive, intelligent, strong, etc... eligible bachelors are like sure we'll each just wait a turn? Demons are Poly, but what about a Lord? Basically I would find it more believable if they had other lovers too. But the thing that bothered me the most was the huge gaping plot hole.

Overall not the worst series, a good distraction. I wish the audiobook readers used an English accent considering the verbage used. I'd read/listen to another series from this author.

This was a really good series.

This is the third RH series that i have read by this author and i will admit, I am a big fan. G. Bailey checks all the boxes in a good RH series for me.

This is the final book in this series and I love Evie and her guys, I was a little disappointed with the big finish. I wanted a little more. I was pleasantly surprised by that little plot twist in the end, I did not see that coming at all.

All in all, if you are into RH, i would recommend giving this one a try.

5 stars for Runes of Royalty by G. Bailey. This is the 4th and final book in A Demon’s fall series. What an ending to a fantastic series. I loved every page and everything that happened in this series. Evie and her men were a intriguing group. Each one brought something different to the group and it made it all the better. While I did cry sometimes I also laughed and even had a few gasps . I was left with NO questions and that is what I truly love in a book/series. There were no loose ends. Bailey has written a story that will stick with me for awhile.

The last book of the series and it was amazing. I am going to miss Evie and her men. From the first page of book 1 I was obsessed. G.Bailey puts so much love into her writing and makes you feel as if you are a part of the characters lives. You get pulled in and don’t want to leave. To me this book was a lot more emotional than the others of the series and I did cry at times. These books are a definite must read . You will fall in love as much as I did.

Great ending of the series!

I truly enjoyed this series with Evie and her family. The drama and excitement during her journey to save her people and become queen was fast paced and had me glued to my kindle.

I was happy to see everyone got their happy ending even Evie‘a father had his happy ending even though that scene actually brought tears to my eyes.

This was a fantastic series by G. Bailey and I cannot wait to read more from her.

Quick end

I liked this, but not as much as I thought I would.... the action just kinda flew at me, with little build and tension that was just THERE. It ended well, so that was good at least. It also really ends at 93% and features a prologue that is an excerpt of a future scene in the same book. ? Ok.

Perfect

A perfect end to a wonderfully written series.

The creativity and thought that went into the creation of the world/places this book is inspiring. I recommend this series wholeheartedly.

This book in particular was a near perfect ending to the series. Each character played an important role at one point or another, and none felt like background characters. What made it even more remarkable is that almost all the characters (background & main) all had closure in the end. They have a future or a goal (whereas the pervious books focused on the pasts). It made every character more real and more engaging, with no one being left out. By everyone, or mostly everyone, I mean: Family of MC, Family of MC’s friends, Family of MC’s friends friends. I would estimate that 90%+ of all the of all the characters in the book were given backgrounds, relationships and futures. That is remarkable.

The storyline throughout the book tied in perfectly with the previous books with no loose ends. The creative idea of demons, angels, reapers etc in the series challenge the preexisting beliefs of the 21st century (I cant speak for everyone, but I believe the authors ideas are one of a kind). The ending to the story was outstanding, although I wish all the RH guys had a part in the very last chapter/epilogue (I don’t want to spoil it!).

Again, as I have mentioned in my reviews of the previous books, the book is too short. Although in retrospect and contradicting myself, the series ended perfectly and anything I think of that could have been added for length seems silly and unnecessary.. so, I suppose.. as much as I want the books to be longer, I have a feeling it would ruin it. *shrugs*.

The style of writing, lack of grammatical mistakes and the sentence structures make this book easy to read. The organization of events is wonderful and the way time was shown (hours, days, weeks etc). My only complaint (or whine) is the large amount of time that passed between the war and evie’s return (again, trying not to spoil!). It creeped me out a bit. That time length is way to long and a LOT can happen during that time. It upset me a little bit because 7 months is a very long time (for a book), and the time was quickly forgotten / though of as insignificant. A large chunk of time that was skimmed over quickly in order to rush to the ending of the book quicker.. it disconnected with the book..

Yet, I loved the series start to finish. I don’t think I will read the reapers book, simply because the series ended in such a perfect way that another book feels like it would destroy that.. But who knows?

Thank you, Author, for a wonderful adventure!

4-4.5 Stars for this finale!

I am so sad to have finished this series on audio so quickly! I loved Evie and her man, and all the side characters in this series. I really do hope we get more from these worlds (I know there is one that has a cameo of the group, that's going to be next on my TBR). I loved how g Bailey weaved her magic with these characters and the storyline was fantastic. I thought some of the twists in this were more predictable and it was kinda inevitable no matter what. I enjoyed seeing Evie make more and strengthen her connections as Queen to 2 groups of races and how she was able to garner help from the other 2 to help defeat the villain (Kex? I listened to this series so I am totally guessing on some of the spelling haha) and his army. I was devastated when a reunion happened (not giving spoilers away), almost breaking into tears while I took a walk around the neighborhood haha. I also LOVED the epilogue, so effing satisfying and a great way to end it. A sad twist and some adorable moments, that's for sure. I think I felt like this was a 4-4.5 stars instead of 5 stars is because the lead up to this giant battle was amazing and then the thing was over so quickly. There wasn't a lot of battles, it was a head to head and then quickly a resolution. This has happened on a lot of G Bailey's series, so maybe I just come in with that expectation that the big battles will be more lacklustre/ her forte isn't battles and confrontation, but I think if that is updated or upped in her future books, it will be 5 stars every time. Her books always have so much potential and the last book in a series in always the weakest of the bunch (still good, but not as spectacular as the others in the series). I will definitely still read them all, I just have to go in with different expectations with the final books.

For narration, like I said, the reunion towards the end almost had me breaking out into tears, the narration was done perfectly, made me feel the devastation, need, and heartbreaking sadness for certain characters to come back. Thought Azi's narration was definitely improved, he won me over again in the book with his relentless prodding and protectiveness of Evie ❤️

I don't want to leave this world, but I know I have to. The book hangover will be extremely tough after this one haha. Definitely getting these in paperback as well 😊

The conclusion.
Everything leads to the final battle with Cex.

Overall

Nice series, the books are all straight forward, an easy read.

The plot of the story is quite good, it just needs a bit more depth, for me, to truly connect with the characters and the narrative.
Most times the scenes are too short, happy or sad, they are over quickly. It doesn't give the reader the opportunity to deal with the emotions, to emerse themselves in them, to experience.

There are some small inconsistencies throughout the books but that's it.

On another note, while I loved Star and the idea of the familiar, I didn't see the greatness of having one. She was basically a guard tiger for the house or to keep an eye on the kid(s) in case of threats. So, an alarm system with GPS???

It gives a bit too much of the vibe "I am so special" and everything goes well for them. Maybe because the scenes are so quick that I did get the feeling they were struggling.
(Come on, she is a rare mixed species, she does things no one else is allowed and goes to where nobody should go and return, alive, ... oookaaayy...)

This is a RH romance and this is something I feel frequently when I read this type of romance: other that the se*y times there is no deep group connection, no falling in love, just se*y times. More like one deep conversation between Evie and each of the guys and straight to bed. It is a tell and no show situation: they tell us the characters love each other, that they are connected but they don't show us.
I like all the guys but there are not many full, deep interactions between them all.
Sorry if I am not explaining it right.
We mostly only see all 5 of them, Evie and the 4 guys, or even just 3 or 2 of the guys interact while discussing what to do regarding the problem/fight they have at the moment, fight scenes, passing through portals, when joking about bacon, and the scene in the jacuzzi. Otherwise it feels like Evie is only interacting with one of the guys at the time, even when more are in the room. They are a bit pushed aside: ignored or they have to go somewhere else. Nothing that really connects them as a romantic group. More like a group of friends.
Once more it could be because the scenes are short.

Overall an enjoyable story. Could use more depth.

And just FYI I am not hating the author nor wanting anyone to say hurtfull things.
I know they work a lot on the stories. They are their babies, their brain's children. And it is frustrating and sad to read some of the comments when the public disliked their work, something they put so much effort and time into.
So, either I did or didn't like the story, congrats to the author. They wrote a book and had the courage to open themselves to the world and their opinions.

It was ok for a quick read series. I feel the author is stuck in the same formula and can’t move ahead. A very cliche RH with this (4 guys who are jerks but arr actually nice guys traumatized by life and a girl they hate but find out she has feelings), a supernatural academy or the orphan turned assassin theme, a villain who wants to destroy the world and everybody gets these super powers that ended being underwhelming. Evie is half-angel but other than her wings she has nothing - her sister has more powers after killing some angels. She was hunted her whole life because of her runes and then, it’s all ok, nevermind those. The runes have incredible power but no one bothers to teach them to her. She has this super rare familiar and it is more like an oversized cat who loves bacon. What’s the point in having her in the first test if she told Star not to go with her? What’s the point of bringing thousands of weapons and training so much if there was no actual fight in those tests? In the first book the Keepers say they only knew a demon kidnapped the princesses because they found something in their quarters. In the last book, they mentioned sensing a demon in the palace. So what changed? There are other minor things along the story but again, it’s not the epic high fantasy story one might be looking for.

This is one of those stories that you are never ready to end. Runes of Royalty is the end (hopefully not forever!) of the story that is Evie and her guys.
The last book ended with Evie becoming queen after a long fight with Erica and Cex forcing her into making him a knight so he would have the access needed to draw out the ancient magic.
Throughout this final book, we see more evidence of the amount of love Evie's guys have for her and witness the final growths of Evie as a character. She is every bit of the quirky bacon-loving bad*** that she has always been, but we get to see a side of her that never existed before. As a Queen of change and an inspiration to the Protectors and Demons that have never gotten along before but are being forced to work together in order to survive, Evie is everything she needs to be and more.
I find knowing that the end could happen at any point but still being able to take advantage of every available moment left inspiring and heartbreaking at the same time. She manages it though. This ending was about as perfect as it could get. I especially loved the final surprise and hope to see more to do with that final reveal. ;)
I managed to wait (unintentionally) until Valentine's Day to finish this and, I have to say, it was perfect timing.

Runes Of Royalty was a fun, sexy, and exciting end to the series. Overall, this has been a great series. I was disappointed that we only got one group sex scene. When reading an RH there should be many group sex scenes. Reading the scene in the hot tub was like someone fast-forwarding a sex scene in a movie. It was over before it had really begun. I consider foreplay a very important part of any book or series that I read, and this series simply did not have enough for me. In the end, when Evie saved Eella, her niece, I wanted more. I would have liked that scene to be extended a bit so we could see what happens when Evie introduces her to the rest of the guys, Hali and Star. Like with the other books, the good outweighed the bad.

I read some of The Cursed Rune, and I'm struggling to like Daesyn. So far, Daesyn has behaved like an immature brat. She's supposed to be 18 yet she behaves like an 8-year-old child, 😒. Her arrogance is very unappealing, and she seems to think of herself as some kind of professional which I find laughable. I think I'm gonna skip her story. The Author said that Hali would get her own story but there's no mention of when. I would love for Eella to also have her own story

Thankfully the Evie as the main character section is over in this series.

Basically Cex was trying to destroy the world for no other reason than he is a demon. Evie? starts out amazing but as she has more experiences I was hoping for some growth or development maybe? But certainly not a regression into a bratty, unnecessarily stubborn brat who is selfish and judgmental. Someone who threatens allies with murder on essentially every other page. Someone who never takes stock of her failures and keeps acting like she can just kill Cex because she's mad at him, despite the fact that she kept failing. And finally the fact that she had everyone gang up on her dad and treat him like crap was just over the top. The guy had been imprisoned her whole life and the last thing he was aware of was the murder of the love of his life and the rightful assumption that his daughter was also dead. Sigh, I really hated Evie as a character.

Th overall story was ok I guess but I skimmed through a lot of books #2-4.

This has a fantastic ending! Evie is my new everything! I love how she is obsessed with bacon.
One thing that surprised me was there wasn't very much spice in this series at all and definitely a slow burn which did drive me crazy but I really enjoyed it. Azi is my favorite of her men and I did love that she has a tiger!
I didn't connect with her men like I would of liked but the story alone made up for that. I was so angry at her sister Erica... I can't believe she had a daughter and put her in a terrible home! Spoiled brat! I'm glad that Evie dropped everything to go get her niece. It broke my heart reading about Eella, she's only 3 and being abused. G bailey did absolutely amazing on this series I'm excited to read the spin off!

One thing I wasn't a fan of was Evie losing her angel side as payment to let her live because her dad was already giving his life for hers I felt like that should of been enough. I'm sad they didn't get more time together.

As much as I hate to see Evie's story end, Runes of Royalty is the perfect conclusion to A Demon's Fall series.

Evie is now queen, but with the protectors city destroyed and Cex on the loose with black magic starting a war, her job is anything but easy. Defeating Cex and controlling the black magic that is also within her will require the ultimate sacrifice; but for her guys, Hali, and the races counting on their queen, Evie will do anything.

This book has everything, action and some steamy romance, family, and *gasp* Evie even shares some bacon! And honestly this book has the cutest and most unexpected ending! I loved the epilogue of Evie's family a few years later and in her Author Note, G Bailey announces that Hali is getting a book too so we have lots to look forward to!

I can't wait to read more of this world in Hali's story, and anything else G Bailey plans to write!

Good ending to the series

This would rate about 4.5 stars as it was a good ending to the series.

You get to see how things progress with Evie and the guys. What I didn't enjoy was the very quick end to the villain. That personally was way to easy. I also noticed that each book had less pages as the story continues but the pricing was the same. Good thing was I read it with KU so it allowed me the opportunity to see if it was a series I would purchase after reading it. I use my KU for that specific reason. If it's good, I then buy the books afterwards.

What I found was the same editing issues that occurred throughout each book; misspelled words, missing words or wrong word used for the sentence.

Besides that, I did enjoy it and it would have been 5 stars if not for the editing needs regardless of the book length.

Reviews are important, but I believe it is always a good thing to decide on your own if a book is as good or as bad. I read a few reviews before reading this last one in the series and I saw some say they preferred the first two books over the last two. I actually preferred the last two over the first two. I felt the first two lacked some of the connection between the characters that book three and four made up for.
The story is complete and I am happy with the ending. Though this was not my favorite series from G. Bailey, it was still a good and unique one.
I will say that I did feel each book in some parts of the story seemed to feel slightly rushed, but I don't feel as if any of my questions were left unanswered.
I enjoyed the story and really enjoyed getting to know these characters.

So I finished the series. Am I upset that I read it? No. Would I read it again? Also no. Overall the storyline was fun but I had a real problem with the length of the books. So much was crammed into each book and it felt like we didn’t have any breathing room for the characters to grow. Also for an RH it is extremely light on smut. Just a heads up. So if your reading this for a smutty good time this might not be the book series for me. The way the series ended was fine. Yes it was sad with a happy ending but again it was so freaking rushed. The whole book we are gearing up for this epic battle and I don’t even think it got a full chapter. With the low spice and my issues with the characters this series was a solid 3 for me.

Loved the ending

This book was hard to read. So much anxiety. The fmc thawrts death like it’s second nature. I have to be honest, I’m not a fan of killing main characters off, it breaks my heart and the connection I have to the characters. I Hate reading the heartbroken ness of the others even if it was beautifully done. It’s just not something I would normally read if I knew ahead of time. Even if they end up with a happily ever after. Which they did. I also liked the twist at the end. Showing a different side to the crazy psycho sister the fmc had. It left the book with a positive spin on the sister. I did enjoy the last chapter. I always love to read what happens in the aftermath of the war.

Read whole series in three days

I just finished book four and I thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Nix is by far my favorite guy in the series but the others are very likeable even grumpy Trex lol. Evie is a modern young women who has been on the go her whole life because of being hunted by people wanting to kill her...she doesnt know why though. Throughout the series you learn the reasons behind it as well as who she truly is. I truly enjoyed watching her learn to trust the guys and open herself up to loving them. If you enjoy RH books then give this one try...I guarantee you wont be disappointed!

Truly loved Evie and her guys!! This was so sad to read as it's the last book. There were most certainly a few very sorrowful moments. I love the family that Evie built!! Each member had loss and heartache. Together they created their own place of happiness. I'm sure there's a neverending supply of bacon 😉 Evie absolutely has my heart 💗 I've long been a fan of Ms. Bailey. Her attention to detail and drawing out these complicated plots keeps you captivated to her worlds. She keeps everything fresh and unique, no matter what story you're immersed into, it's going to surprising and tug upon your emotions. She's just so utterly entertaining 💖💖💖
