I'm not generally a big fan of teaching rote prayers to kids, but this little volume mixes it up well with some prayers that really are more like devotional poems to God. In fact, nearly all of the prayers in this small book can be seen that way, and this enhances what they are, in my view.
Several of the devotional poems really are quite good, surpassing some of the triteness of a few of the early ones. I like this book, and I think that it serves as a real, positive influence.
