Such a different read than I’m used to reading but held my attention for the most part. I haven’t read from this author before but when I read the blurb and was given a chance to read for my honest review I couldn’t pass it up! I love finding new authors but I love even more when they find me!!
Echo is a different man than I’ve read because he isn’t the typical badass, hardcore, bulk of a man that is going to go caveman and rescue the girl. He is smart, witty at times, has heart and passion burning through his veins and you can see it with his will to find others. Echo’s growth throughout the book is inspiring because many weaker men or women would’ve given up and just let go but not Echo. The twists and turns this throws out when you think you know what’s going to happen had me on edge because then I would get knocked on my ass by some other thing I didn’t see coming!! I honestly had a hard time with some of the chapters being told from a different persons point of view, and you definitely need to specify that in the book because it upset me to not understand that I was reading a new character, but after over half way through I could tell after reading some of the chapter who it was but I need my mindset to already know that before going into the chapter.
I didn’t give a lot of information about the book because while it is a different read for me and I’m surprised I liked it as much as I did but you just need the first hand experience. I could see this book turning into a movie because it just screams drama and the unknown! The cover is haunting and the book is haunting at times but with a smidge of hope. I would’ve like more with Harper and Echo but that’s not what this book is about and it actually made sense to not have that even consider being the focus! Great job Autumn!! Thank you for this opportunity!!!
