Small Group and Team Communication, 4/e

Thomas E. Harris, University of Alabama
John C. Sherblom, University of Maine

Praised for its writing style, research base, and range of topics covered, Small Group and Team Communication develops issues of diversity, ethics, technology and the organizational use of groups and teams within a systems theory framework.

Through extensive examples, new case studies, and updated exercises, the 4th edition Small Group and Team Communication engages students and guides them from theoretical discussions into applications of the concepts presented.

New to This Edition:

Increased ethical coverage throughout the text and in exercises prepares students for dealing with ethical issues that arise in many different small group and team situations. Revised chapter on teams (Ch. 8) provides students with a broader perspective. New approaches to decision making and problem solving (Ch. 9) further clarify these critical processes. Current examples throughout the book provide dynamic support for concepts. Updates throughout the text provide students with the most current research available. Additional tables and figures make the content even clearer and more visually engaging for students. Expanded and revised Instructor's Manual with activity-based exercises offers hands-on learning opportunities for students.

I read this textbook for a class. It was fine, but it was pretty repetitive and tried to make well-known ideas seem novel.

A great addition to a scholarly library on organizational behavior! This text was required in my undergraduate studies at Roberts Wesleyan College. I finished the whole textbook during my personal sessions.
