Enter Jace Kruse.

This was cute and had some nice, steamy sex. Recommended.
2★'s = it was ok.

Weeeellll…I just didn’t connect with this one, at all.

I didn’t get their connection and they didn’t seem to even have a connection for quite some time. Lots of thoughts but it never seemed to be about their romance.

I am thinking maybe this series isn’t so much about the romance?

I really struggled with this one. Really. Ugh.

This book made me smile from start to finish

I'm a big Devon McCormack fan and I'm loving this new series with Riley Hart a lot.

For Devon's first instalment we get a mostly light-hearted look at the pressures of fame, specifically social media fame, which touches on the zeitgeist of the Instagram celebrity.

Both characters are fully fleshed out and are brought together by a chance of fate, when a picture of firefighter Jase rescuing a dog goes viral and PR agent Dax's latest client wants the 'hott
DNF @ 13%

I'm just not feeling this one. I may come back to it later. Nothing against the book I'm just moody.

Just try to find something bad to say about this book but sorry nothing comes up. As good as the first one, perhaps I'm in phase with the writing or I give up myself to the story. I just took my tickets and enjoy the journey. I'm happy and that's enough 😁.

I know I don't like this author and I always push myself to read his books due to:
1. The hype
2. He works with Riley who is a personal favorite of mine

But once again, I'm left disappointed. The story had so much potential but it landed flat. The romance felt lacking, the drama was lacking, the whole thing was lacking something.

I had to literally push myself to finish it for 3 days and not DNF.

I think I knew early on (like 10%) that this book wouldn't be for me. I just wasn't feeling it. It certainly didn't help that the first real introduction to Jace involved him having on-page sex with a female (and yes, I know he was previously assumed straight). It may have been extremely brief but that's still a no thank you for me when I'm reading m/m books. However, my OCD does not permit me to abandon a book once started, so onward this soldier went.

The problem for me was I never warmed up to

Fluffstastic!!! 3.5 sexy stars!!!!

Need some comfort fluff in your life with a side of virgin gay sex? Then this is your ticket!

Ride the fluff wagon all the way to 88% until you hit a wee bump of family drama. Then get ready to be spun like cotton candy as the MCs emphatically declare their feelz for each other. Finish off the ride into HEA on a sweet river of love.

Plot? Think about it his you really need a reason to eat candy? Nope. Just a lovely guilty pleasure, just like this book.

I. Just. Cannot.

This was the anticipated Devon book of 2019 and I am so glad I was able to fulfill my read time. After BFF series, I needed more. Imagine my surprise when my friend Barb mention this Riley/Devon series! I was like, that book is mine!! I enjoyed Ash and Beau's story, but it was something about Jace and Dax that captured me fr

I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I didn’t have high hopes for it, and it actually proved me wrong. It was a nice sweet, sexy book. Had everything I love. Gfy, newbie, famous person, and some hot smexy times. No ex’s, no cliche famous (I do love a good famous person book) people, no miscommunication that they took forever to work out, just a straight honest book about two people who because of past issues pushed love away only to find love in each other. And I very much appreciated that ...more

Good follow up

Like the first book in the series this was good. Once again I really liked both main characters and the awesome supporting cast. Even liked Serena. The story wasn't too heavy and it was easy to follow. Looking forward to more books in the series!!

Steamy Romance!

What is it about Fever Falls that has me fanning myself like crazy? Jace was adorable as the hottie firefighter with a heart of gold. I loved this sweet romance and seeing how Dax and Jace navigated the Hollywood fame machine. These two burn up the pages and I could not put this story down. Muy caliente.

Well this was about half way there for me... the first 50% was slow and frustrating, a pretty hard slog to be honest. The pace increased but I have to say my interest waned. I simply struggled to connect with these characters and lost my interest

Boy, nothing like reading along, enjoying a good book, maybe a few sniffles, but nothing like the end, where you can't help but ugly cry. But it's so worth it. This was a good book. Hot firefighters? Makes for a smoking hot story. ;)
I've always admired people who were in relationships with people who were cops, firefighters, even military. It's hard not knowing if they're going to come home or not because of something happening on the job. But then if you think about it, none of us really know w

Another wonderful visit to Fever Falls!

A down-to-earth, go-with-the-flow kind of guy, Jace is quite surprised with his overnight celebrity when he rescues a shar-pei from a car sinking underwater. Hottie Firefighter, as he becomes known on social media, has no idea what is coming his way as the competition for his image, his representation for product endorsements begins and PR 'up and comer' Dax, jokingly referred to as 'powertop' by his assistant, is determined to sign Jace. The PR business is

This is the second book in this new series shared by Devon McCormack and Riley Hart. Each book is a complete standalone but have the sexy men of FEVER FALLS in common. This is the fascinating story of Jace and Dax. Jace is a hometown hottie who has a picture of himself go viral overnight. Dax is a Hollywood PR who has a client who wants Jace. Their first meeting is what set the tone of the whole story. Sexy, meets sexier and they both go up in flames. Fun, witt

I really enjoyed this one. Great, sexy chemistry between the two H's. I love how self-assured Jace was...even in the face of all this new in his life. He knows what he wants and isn't afraid to own that.

I definitely recommend both this one and the first in the series, although both books work perfectly well as stand-alones.

I enjoyed the first in this series by Riley Hart.
I struggled with this one because the characters just felt flat to me.
The ending was cute and the last third of the book a lot more enjoyable but couldn't make up for the struggle that was the first 2/3.

This book was weird. There was no plot, or more like no conflict.

It was like everything went perfectly, even when there were "issues" or any kind of "mishaps".

At first neither wanted to fall in love and preferred to have something casual, but as things progressed they didn't show the usual apprehensions one would usually have if one wanted a casual relationship. They both magically fell for each other as hard as the other did. Like I'm probably a bitch for wishing there was conflict and

I call this a reverse prince charming just because instead of the Hollywood bigshot bringing the country bumpkin into his world, this story has the country bumpkin wooing the Hollywood bigshot into *his* world. It's a refreshing take on the trope and I loved it. I think it was clever to use a character who already didn't want to be in the spotlight. It made it all the more believable.

One thing about this story that I loved was how direct and honest the characters were about their feelings both

I have read a number of books by Devon McCormack when he partners up with Riley Hart. I have read a handful by Devon on their own, and Riley on their own. And have come to the realization that I just don't think Devon McCormack is for me. I vastly prefer Riley Hart when she writes alone, and anything Devon writes by himself I never manage to score above 3 stars. This book kind of cemented these assumptions for me. I came in with reservations, but the first book (written by Riley Hart) was good e ...more

Is this a terrible book? No, it is okay, I guess. However, I can't get past the HUGE plot hole.

(spoiler alert)

Dax is in PR for the entertainment industry and lives in Los Angeles. He has enemies that watch his every move and sabotage his career at every turn. The enemies are ruthless. Dax's mother is a FAMOUS TV and movie star from way back. How is it possible that no one (not his many enemies or all the paparazzo that he works around on a daily basis) finds out that he was a former child star

All the delicious smexiness! #BURN ad all my favorite Devon McCormack traits and then some. Sexy, sweet, hot, full of humor, heart and amazingly charming characters.

Jace and Dax have a chemistry and a bond that was close to perfection. The development of their relationship – between two totally different men with Jace being the local, down-to-earth, suddenly turned superstar firefighter and Dax, a Hollywood agent looking for his next big fish – was done at just the right pace.

I loved watching D

A okayish start when they first meet, Dax feels attraction but he's the most experienced with guys. Includes chemistry, mainly straight, virgin,  Jace reminded me of a young teenager learning all about the male bodies..a scene at the 20% mark had me meh. A fast paced story I couldn't connect to.  Jace was too trusting with Dax, and really going to meet his mother for an okay regarding the PR business.. lol. Jace loves his job but there's no scenes of that at the start.  Dax's overconfidence and ...more
