Oh lord! What a fantastic, enjoyable, witty, energizing, heartwarming, joyful, humorous reading I had! I was about to cut some points because of the indecisiveness of heroine (She couldn’t choose between a hot English teacher and hot doctor! Okay, when I say it loudly, I know most of you think she is so right! I think I invested our hero so much! But when you read more, you found out it was never a love triangle, wasn’t it?) so for the love those vivid characters, gripping story-telling, amazing ...more

Meet Me on Love Lane is the second book in Nina Bocci’s ‘Hopeless Romantics’ series, and it was one I was really looking forward to. I loved Henry in the first book and I couldn’t wait to get his story!

Charlotte Bishop is Doctor Bishop’s daughter and is back to Hope Lake for the first time in a few decades. Charlotte moved away when her parents got divorced and never came back. Now, she’s back temporarily to get her life back together. She doesn’t want to connect with anyone, she

Charlotte Bishop has lived in New York for years. She suddenly finds herself in a bind. She needs a job, and nothing is going her way. Out of options, she decides to head home to Hope Lake, the small town in Pennsylvania where she grew up. Since she will be stuck there for the foreseeable future, she’s looking forward to spending some quality time with her dad and grandmother. Nina writes characters that are real, which leads me to suspect that her characters live in a town just as she describes.
The novel is funny, it's charming - it will remind you of what is best about small towns and childhood friendships and the kind of love that is permanent. And that family is important.
Recommended.

21 years ago, ten year old Charlotte had to leave her beloved hometown of Hope Lake, Pennsylvania. Her parents got divorced and her mom took her away from her grandma, her dad and her best friends.

Now - jobless and broke - she's back home.

Her dad is still the town's doctor. Her grandma is still amazing.

Her best friends are still all there. But she can't really remember much. Her mother talked so badly about the town and everything in it that Charlotte buried everything in the deepest corners of

This Hallmark-esque story was brimming with sweet moments, both romantic and otherwise.

I've "known" Nina Bocci ever since I became a blogger, as she has represented some of my favorite romance authors. However, this was the first book of hers that I've read, and I was really impressed. Sometimes that transition from blogger/PR to author has been a rocky one, but that is not the case here. She featured a slew of likeable characters - Charlotte (the heroine), Henry and Max (two potential

I was crying happy tears as I finished this last night. What a perfect example of a childhood friends-to-lovers/ kinda second chance romance. Hands down, my heart hasn't felt this full and melted in a while.

While I truly did enjoy On the Corner of Love and Hate, that pales in comparison to this. While I was a tiny bit leery about the possibility of a love triangle and then the person that I liked better NOT being chosen, you don't have to worry about any of that. I knew it from the prologue

I fell for Henry after meeting him in On the Corner of Love and Hate and have been dying for his story. Nina Bocci did not disappoint! Meet Me on Love Lane is such a beautiful, feel good novel. It's funny and romantic and though there are sad moments in the book, the book itself was so hopeful. This is book 2 in the Hopeless Romantics series, but can be read as a standalone. It would be most enjoyed, however, if you read the books in order since previous characters appear and that is where we ...more

First of all - can we just talk about how GORGEOUS this cover is?! OMG! Probably my favorite book cover of 2019! Fall is my favorite season & this heart shaped leaf pile with adorable red ballet slippers just reeled me right in!

Hope Lake & Love Lane, although fictional, sounds like a beautiful place that I wish I could visit! Charlotte heads back to her hometown of Hope Lake, after leaving NYC - jobless, broke, and lost. Upon her return, she reunites with old

Now, if you have read my review, you know I had my couple of issues with the first book in this series, but still liked the book.

I am happy to say that those issues are gone with Meet Me On Love Lane, and I liked this book more than the first.

This is a story of coming home, falling back in love with the place you thought you hated - and falling in love with the boy you left behind.

I adored Charlotte and Henry and the friends that Charlotte left behind. My heart

This is the second book in the Hopeless Romantics series and I'm really enjoying it so far. The first book is enemies to lovers (my favorite trope) and the second one is a second chance romance plus it has a spectacular cover. After a few tough historical fiction reads this was exactly what I needed.

What I loved about this book:

1. I loved Charlotte's Gigi. While she may not be everyone's cup of tea, I found her to be completely hilarious. I hope when I'm super old I'm as awesome as she is.

Meet Me on Love Lane!!

What I liked about this novel:

That cover is to die for! Screams fall to me and love everything about fall!! I love the atmosphere of the.novel and the small town feel. Everyone is so supportive and just felt so homey to me.

I loved how the author continue the series and we get to know more about the characters since the first book.

Some of the things that didn't quite work for me is the relationship between Nick and Charlotte. The pacing was extremely slow and didn't feel

I truly enjoyed this small town story of coming home again!

After having left Hope Lake to New York as a child, Charlotte finds herself having to return back after 20 years and reconnecting with childhood friends. The only thing is she can’t seem to remember her best friend Henry.

All thoughts of her earlier life have been negatively impacted by things her mother ingrained in to her. She is resilient and independent and her thoughts are to return to New York once she gets back on her feet.

I won this uncorrected proof on Goodreads. While I am not under any obligation to review this book by Goodreads or Gallery books, I do offer my honest review to show my gratitude for being chosen as a winner of this book.

There are some things I liked about the story and some things I didn't. I liked the setting: small town Americana. It is "typical," but it works, even though this dream town is just that a "dream." In the recesses of our minds, romance readers always cling to the sliver of hope

If you haven’t read the first book in Bocci’s Hopeless Romantic series, no worries. Meet Me on Love Lane is a stand-alone; however, you will meet up with characters from On the Corner of Love and Hate, become familiar with them and everyday life in Hope Lake. Yes, the author has taken her readers back to the small town where everyone knows everybody’s business in an endearing way.

What I couldn’t quite fathom out was why

Charlotte is frightened and returning to her home town of Hope Lake because she has no where else to go. Her mother moved her to New York City when she was 10 and Charlotte has never returned. In fact Charlotte's mother made Hope Lake sound so horrible Charlotte never wanted to return and with her father and grandmother visiting her in New York City she never had to. What Charlotte finds in Hope Lake surprises her, it is nothing like her mother described. In Hope Lake Charlotte finds what she ...more

A swoony slow-burn romance, Meet Me on Love Lane was all about shared history, friendship, family, and finding your place in the world where you least expect it.

I really enjoyed this book, and much more than the first in the series (not that I didn't like that one though). I really liked watching Charlotte get to know her old friends, and learn what the town of Hope Lake was really like.

I was really intrigued to find out who the boy from the prologue was, and I had a few suspicions which were eventually proven right. And what may seem to be a love triangle on the outside, really turns out

What I Liked

-I’m obsessed with that cover! I think it just screams Fall, which is my favorite season. I’m just going to ignore the fact that this book mostly takes place in the Summer and not the Fall, though…

-I love the small town setting. I wish Hope Lake was real because I would totally move there. I loved how close the residents are and how they support each other.

-I liked seeing the characters from the the first

I don't like love triangles, but I love Nina Bocci and so I was willing to take a chance on this book despite the description! Happily, the triangle is pretty non-existent and this is a story about second chances. A second-chance at a career and re-connecting with family. A second-chance at friendship. And a second-chance at the best kind of love. Charlotte needed this (OMG my heart broke for her so much at times) and SPOILER!!!! Henry needed her ( I wanted to hug him so much because he was so ...more

There are two literary versions of home. One is the Robert Frost version, the one that says that “home is the place that when you have to go there, they have to take you in.” There’s also the Thomas Wolfe version that says that , “You can’t go home again.”

There’s also the romantic version, the one that says that “home is where the heart is.”.

In a way, Meet Me on Love Lane is a story about crossroads. The story is firmly parked at the corner of contemporary

This past summer I read On the Corner of Love and Hate, a sweet romance novel by Nina Bocci. (My review here) It is set in the small tourist town of Hope Lake, Pennsylvania, and tells the story of Emma Peroni, who works in the Ecomonic Development Office of the town and is the daughter of the long-serving and popular mayor.

Emma is terrific at her job, and resents her coworker Cooper, the handsome ladies' man her father is grooming to become the town's next mayor. I loved the small town setting

Right from the epilogue, Meet Me on Love Lane had me invested in the story between Charlotte and Henry. Charlotte and Henry were inseparable and the best of friends, but that would soon change. At ten years old Charlotte's life would change. She would go on to live with her mother in New York after her parents divorce. The place she called home for the first ten years of her life would never be the same to her.

It is now twenty-one years later and Charlotte is broke and living in New York.

Meet Me on Love Lane, the second standalone in Nina Bocci’s Hopeless Romantics Series, was such a sweet second chance, small-town romance!

Nina Bocci is a novelist, publicist, eternal optimist, unabashed lipgloss enthusiast, constant apologist, and a hopeless romanticist. She has too many college degrees that she’s not using, and a Lego addiction that she blames on her son.
