Jane Yolen was a novelist, poet, fantasist, journalist, songwriter, storyteller, folklorist, and children’s book author who wrote more than three hundred books. The rhyming is forced and stilted in spots, making me stumble during a read aloud. This is not my favorite early reader series.

I read this to Julianna tonight. She gives it 5 stars. Cute story and ahe likes it because the little fish made friends and cute pictures of the fish story.
