Rate this book
New moms run into a host of new challenges once baby arrives, including getting back into shape, developing a parenting style, readjusting schedules, and interacting with their husbands in new ways. With compassion and humor--and always the privilege of motherhood in mind--The New Mom's Guides go straight to the heart of these matters, offering moms guidance and encouragement in this new season of life. Each of the four books in the series offers real advice from women who have been there, done that, and want other moms to benefit from their trials and triumphs. A perfect gift for baby showers, Mother's Day, or any day, these small volumes are compact enough to take along in an overstuffed diaper bag and designed for the mom who can only find a few minutes of peace each day to read.

If you’re looking for a book that gives you tips on how to physically lose the fat and get back to your pre-baby body weight then this book is not for you. This book is more on how to emotionally rekindle that positive vibe in your being despite having to endure the aftermath of childbirth. The author, Wallace is very honest and straight to the point, in explaining the various hurdles that a new mother may face such as ‘coming to term with the new body shape, breast-feeding woes, deciding what to wear (which is comfortable yet complimenting the figure), resuming sexual activities and developing a parenting style’.

This little book contains all the details that I spent nine plus months looking for and never found. Honest truth in brevity of what is happening to me. Though it took me a while to actually read it (little female 12 month distraction here) I am so glad that I did and easily I will recommend these New Mom Guides to anyone expecting. I'm so glad that MOPS and Revell Books made these available. Such benefits and advice!

Quick informative read. I wish I had read this prior to having Stella. This is actually part of an entire "New Mom" series.

I found lots of encouraging, helpful advice and information. It amazes me how much encouragement (in any form) has really helped me as a new mom - the smallest things like being reminded I'm not the only person to have endured the aftermath after the birth. This book did a great job of reminding me of that.

Recommended for new or expectant mamas.

It's like a very good friend sitting you down and patiently and kindly telling you that you're about to go through a bad car wreck (while describing all the gory details), but not to worry because everything will be ok. After time. Like a lot of time. I may have cried once or twice. But I suppose I'd rather have the knowledge than approach it completely ignorant.

Very fun, very quick, very honest look at a few topics of interest. Really read more like a collection of short articles than books, but it was funny and informative and had good quotes from real live women! (Ok...parts were terrifying but knowledge is power...right?)
