A light yet dreamy second chance at finding love, Claire must learn to let her past go and accept this new love and admiration from a rugged and individual such as Scott...

We all saw it coming after reading the first novel in this series, Passion On Park Avenue, that this next novel was going to be either Audrey and Clarke, or Claire and Scott. Though I was hoping for more of Audrey, we were still able to get another story. And this one, just like the last took my breath away with all the emot

Awwwwe! What a great ending. 4.5 Stars
I really enjoyed the first book in this series so when book two came out, I knew I had to read this one too!

I love the main premise of the female characters. A widow and her late husband’s mistresses become best friends and support each other through love and life. A fabulous premise and the result is a witty, clean romance that is fresh and delightful!

Love on Lexington Avenue is all about the widow… Claire. I was actually surpri

Lauren Layne never disappoints. If you’re following this series, you’ll enjoy to read Claire’s and Scott’s story, although the one I’m really looking forward to now is Audrey’s and Clarke’s.
Lauren Layne continues her Central Park Pact series with “Love on Lexington Avenue,” this time focusing on the bitter and jaded Claire Hayes, a widow who found out her deceased husband had been cheating on her for over a year with several women.

Convinced there are no more good men and wanting to get rid of every last vestige of the cheating jerk’s presence, Claire decides to redecorate her home only to come across the rude, unsociable, and sexy contractor who will be in her space for the forese

I've been counting down the days until summer break so I can finally binge on all the Lauren Layne novels I've been dying to read. But I couldn't wait any longer to dive right into Love on Lexington Avenue, the second standalone romance in The Central Park Pact series. Well I'm so freaking glad I didn't wait because this book was everything I needed in my life today. It was so cute, so satisfyingly romantic, so perfectly paced and I enjoyed every second.

Very enjoyable. Poor Claire had so much to grieve for and I think she did a great job. I loved how she wanted to be Strawberry Lemonade. Despite everything she had been through, she put herself out there with Scott. He had some pretty legit reasons to be so closed off to a relationship, even if he would not acknowledge them. Claire was so strong and was not afraid to call him on it. Scott was a bit frustrating, but he redeemed himself in the end.

I read Love on Lexington Avenue soon after Passion on Park Avenue so my memory is fresh. Hopefully, I won't forget everything by the time Audrey's story rolls up.

I did not like Claire as a character. She just seems like one of those people who haven't had to work for anything in their lives. Even after she decides what she wants to do with her life, every piece of the puzzle connects perfectly and smoothly leaving her satisfied. Seems harsh, especially since we're talking about a chick-lit char

Another delightful, one-sitting read. I loved Claire's story and her journey finding herself after the disaster of her marriage. Scott was utterly wonderful and the perfect counterpart.
Again the lack of steam was a little disappointing. but overall a wonderful story.
    I can't wait for book #3!

Love on Lexington Avenue was an enjoyable enough read; I liked Claire and Scott's dynamic. They're both not what each other was expecting, which led to some banter. I also liked that Layne made it a point that, while Claire is getting over Brayden, she is primarily remaking herself. Despite how this series began, it's not all about the cheating ex-husband.

I thought the romance was a little too fast towards the end, and honestly a lot of their interactions lacked something to me. I like

Lauren Layne has another 5-star read on her hands. Love on Lexington Avenue was even better than the first book in the Central Park Pact series. I laughed, cried, and squealed at the chemistry between a bitter widow and a rough around the edges contractor!

Claire Hayes had given up on love. She was burned by the man she thought she would spend the rest of her life with. She made a pact with 2 of her husband's mistresses. They would never let each other fall in love with a man who was a lie and a

LOVE ON LEXINGTON is another 5 star++++ book from one of my favorite 1-click authors, Lauren Layne.

A year ago, socialite Claire discovered her husband had been cheating on her with 2 other women on the day of his funeral. These three women formed a tight bond, determined to never let themselves be taken in by or used by men again.

Claire want to change her vanilla life, so she decides to rehab her upper east side house and Contractor Scott comes into her life on a friend’s recommendation. The hou

Although I was apparently stuck under a rock for a period of time and missed the first book in this series, I was excited to have the opportunity to read this one because the blurb sounded really fun. I have read many Lauren Layne books in the past and have enjoyed them, so I was expecting much the same with this one. And I did enjoy it--quite a bit. But it was different than the other books I've read by this author in that it didn't have the steamy sex scenes. Personally, I can do without the d ...more

I really enjoyed the first book in this series and was excited for Claire's story. She was sassy and sexy in a quiet way which fit her personality to a tee. I loved how she gave as good as she got and then some. The spitfire banter between her and Scott was fantastic. I loved how Layne was able to showcase Claire's vulnerability and her search for her identity after her marriage while highlighting Scott's protectiveness and his burgeoning feelings for her. This story was fantastic!

Love on Lexington Avenue by Lauren Layne is the second book in the Central Park Pact series. Claire Hayes’ husband died the year before, and after his death she found out that he had been a serial cheater. Love on Lexington Avenue is the 2nd book in Lauren Layne’s Central Park Pact series.

Claire and Scott are both trying to move on from past betrayals. Claire is attempting to move beyond her vanilla rut life after her cheating husband’s death a year ago. Scott moves from job to job, town to town and lives in a state of denial about his broken engagement from years ago.

They are placed in a variety to situations that reveal the complexity of who they are and who they want to be.. Their friendship a

Once again Ms Layne captured my attention from page one, and transported me directly into her story...which is filled with delightful banter, intelligence, wit, and sexy charm. Her characters come to life under her masterful storytelling hand...I was captivated with Scott and Claire...their chemistry was soft, yet jumped off the page. Claire’s quiet strength was paramount in creating the link for which I was able to relate to her devastation. Scott was the alpha who blindsided me with his vulner ...more

Layne’s romances are always enjoyable, and I liked this one because both Claire and Scott’s personalities felt a little different than her typical characters. The home reno was fun, but otherwise it felt a little short on plot. The romance can carry it, but when I thought about it, I couldn’t really say what else happens in the story. Also, I found myself having a hard time with a heroine who had no job or responsibilities or volunteering or anything. I was relived she got around to trying to st ...more

If you are looking for a quick modern romance, look no further! Love on Lexington Avenue had everything I was looking for in a fun, easy, summer read. This book is the second in a series, although you don't need to read them in order to know what's going on. The main character, Claire, is recently widowed from her cheating husband. With the help of his girlfriend and mistress turned friends and a hot contractor, Claire starts to rebuild her life after him.

Book Two of this series and I am still not disappointed! While I read Passion on Park Avenue I did wonder why Claire and Audrey weren’t as present throughout the story as I imagined, Love on Lexington Avenue was very heavy on the Claire and Audrey interactions. This story centers around Claire, the former wife of the now dead cheater that brought the three women together. The story was still comical in its situations, it was also very easy to follow. Claire and Scott are probably the couple that ...more

I really enjoyed this book! Claire loses her husband who was cheating on her with two other women and they end up all becoming friends. I couldn’t imagine this actually happening to someone and hiring a hot contractor probably was the best idea to get your mind off a cheating husband and the grief that came along with him dying. claire hires a hot contractor who is just hot! I always enjoy reading Lauren Layne's books. They are generally smart, sexy, and witty. Love on Lexington Avenue is definitely one of those. The second book in her series about three unlikely friends who cope with life together after discovering they'd all been sleeping with the same man. Meeting each other at his funeral! What do three women have in common? Oh yeah, that's right they were all involved with the same man. Claire was married to the lying cheating A-hole while the other two were just his mistresses until his untimely death. The bond these three woman share is one that would wish for from childhood besties. You see the plot unfolding before your eyes thinking you know how this is going to play out and true to form it happens but with a little twist here and there. I LOVED this book.
First, I love LL. I’ve read all of her books. Passion on park avenue , the first in this series, was a 4 star for me. But this, the second in the series, was great. I loved Claire and Scott, and their romance. LL’s writing was impeccable. I loved that there are sexy times but not descriptive ones. It just worked for this one. I can’t wait to read the Final book in the series, I’m sure she is saving the best for last, a la Nora Roberts style! THANK you to netgalley for the ARC!

Just what I needed! Some books have a godsend quality in providing a light, fluffy, easy, fast read that's perfect for where you are in your life, or after a book that rips your heart out. Claire is starting to make her way through her grief and bitterness, and the romantic connection grows through its own stages of grief in ways that may seem simplistic in their easy connections, but it's that smooth flow that makes this book a gem. A worthy follow in the Pact series, this one is a ready-to-go ...more

Claire and Scott need each other in their life. They help close the wounds of the past and start a new happy life. The characters was developed at a pace you can't put the book down. The love evolve and grows in a beautiful love story.
