High excitement and superheroes!

In this young adult novel, which isn't really since I loved it, we get excitement, mystery, and superheroes. It's easy to read and fast paced. You get so involved you lose track of the world around you!
This YA superhero story showed a lot of promise from the back blurb and the prologue, and despite being a quick read and an interesting setting, it felt under-baked overall with characters that could have used more development, as well as a feeling that I wasn’t as close to the story as I could have been.

The Dragon is a YA Sci-Fi novel that explores loss and heroism. Asha Anderson recently lost her mother leaving her with unresolved trauma as her father moves them to a new home and her to a new school. With her two new friends Lilly and Mick, Asha is able to find courage amongst bullies and The Dragon. Asha finds that she has strength beyond understanding which scares her but also proves very useful as her friends and the city are in danger from the cult like gang The Dragon. Really cool dystopian YA book by an indie author. I recommend it! Hopefully I will get to read more installments of Asha Anderson. Overall a nice cast of characters, charged action, epic premise. Got my attention from the start with it's awesome cover.
