When my ex-wife told me she was leaving West Virginia, I was angry. Our marriage was over, it had been for a long time, but now she’s abandoning our son, and neither of us are happy about it.

My assistant, Amber, and I have been flirting for months. There’s a strong connection between us, and we both know it. Tapping into our mutual love for basketball, I bring Amber on to

“When things are hard, we rise up. We overcome them.”

Compared to the other books in the series, this one fell a little short. It didn’t connect with me the way the others did but I absolutely loved the theme of rising up.

We first meet the Wilder family in Refuse To Lose. Vincent and Laney have divorced and Ethan has made great strides in being a good kid versus the bully he was before. Vincent and Ethan are rising up and making the best of the the divorce, disappearance, and lack o

This is the third and final installment of The Coaches Love Series. Vincent has recently divorced his ex-wife, when she moved to New York for her career over being a mother. They have a 13 year old son, who was a bully when in his mother's card and Vincent was establishing his company. Now his ex wants their son to spend Christmas in NY and the son doesn't want to go. Vincent starts flirting with his secretary Amber around this time. Amber played basketball and finds out Vincent is the coach of ...more

I am really loved the A Coach’s Love series by Alison Mello so much. Each story is a standalone romance with interconnected characters and though you can read each one separately, they are each great reads! In Rise Up, we get Vincent’s story, Ethan’s father, who we previously met. Ethan had been a bully, but in the time since then, his father has helped turn him around. Now divorced, Vincent and Ethan are learning to cope with being abandoned by their wife/mother and finding their new normal.

This is the third book in a series. I really liked the hero, Vince. He is a really good dad to his teenage son, and the heroine fits in really well with them. This is a really sweet and earnest story. I was always curious about Vince and his son, Ethan, and I'm glad his story was told. Overall, a sweet read.

Rise Up is the third and final book in A Coach's Love series and it was a perfect way to end such a good series. This is Amber and Vincent's book with all the amazing couples from the previous books. This book teaches you that no matter how hard you've hit the bottom, that the only way to go job is to rise up. I love how heartfelt and heartwarming this book is and I'm sad to see it end. I am really looking forward to what is next from this author. I know I will absolutely love it.

What can I say. This is the final book in this series by Alison Mello and I was ready for Vincent to get his happy ever after. After a bitter divorce with his ex, he is busy raising his son and starts flirting with Amber, his assistant. The second chance at love theme that is in this series carries through with this book also. Things seem to be going well until his ex makes a return back in their lives. Thinking because she is a lawyer and her father is a judge, she believes she can get what she ...more

Living and learning from mistakes while finding love in the process, is what this book embodies. Following Vincent and Amber’s journey of becoming a couple and how they incorporate the fundamentals of rising up into their day-to-day lives makes for a good read and an interesting story of how they came to be. Throw a sweet little boy named Ethan into the mix and be prepared for your heart to be happy. This is one of those feel good, life lesson books with some heat sprinkled in. Can’t go wrong wi ...more

I think Vincent and Amber's story in Rise Up is the best of A Coach's Love Series and I'm sad to see the series end at 3. Mello, as always, has opened our hearts in this second chance romance that sees a single dad and single woman come together. I love a good sports book and it was fun to see one of the women get into the sport and know more than the men around her. Amber's character is strong and its so easy to see why Vincent and his son fall so completely for her!

I loved this book so much. It showed that no matter what happens in life you are able to overcome any challenge!!! From love, family, sports and friends, no matter what you face, you can always Rise Up!!! Thank you Alison for writing such a wonderful book that truly inspires a brighter outlook when facing life challenges.

Vincent Wilder is ready to move on from his ex-wife, Laney, after she left him to forward her career. Now he has realized he has feelings for his assistant, Amber, but knows he can’t cross the “boss/employee” line. Vincent does his best as a single dad to Ethan but he knows Ethan still has issues from his mom leaving.
Amber is attracted to Vincent but doesn’t want to get involved with him in case things don’t go well and she loses her job. But when an opportunity comes up she knows it may be the

I received a review copy of the book before release for an honest review.

This is book 3 in the series and it follows the previous bully kid Ethan and his now single dad, Vincent. If you remmeber the series you know Ethan's grandfather is the judge and he had the mom from hell Layla. The mom is gone in this book but she causes lots of issues for both Vincent and Ethan in this story.

Amber is the new character and she is V's PA and she has a thing for V but she works for him. That is until V decide

This was an enjoyable book. Vincent is a divorced single dad of 13 year old athlete Ethan and coach of Ethan’s basketball team. Amber is his assistant that he’s had feelings for but wouldn’t act on it because she worked for him. They have a solution for that problem, though, since another assistant is leaving and Amber can take her place. Amber fits right into their family. She teaches Ethan to cook, helps coach his team, and loves and protects him like he’s her own. Ethan’s mom Laney is a mean, ...more

Vincent has a son named Ethan, who used to be a terrible bully, but has since changed with his father's help, and now that Vincent has divorced Ethan's mother, they are doing their best to find a new normal. Vincent has been flirting with his assistant, Amber, for a while now, but she's always keeping him at arms length, because she has terrible luck with men, and he's her boss. However, Vincent is willing to see if they can have more, as Amber is a sweet woman with a big heart. She's always wil ...more

Love, laughter, and great friendships

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it to everyone, it truly is uplifting and does live up to its title.

Vincent Wilder and Amber are both given the opportunity for a second chance at love after failed marriages. Told from both lead character’s points of views readers gain a better insight into what makes each character tick, their likes and dislikes, beliefs and feelings on many topics including towards each other.

This is the first book I have read in the series and boy oh boy what a story it was. I loved it right from the beginning when poor Vincent was heart broken over his wife leaving him and their son to pursue her career. But as time went on Vincent pulled up his big boy pants and started to do the things he wanted and needed to do for himself as well as his son who needed him.

This is a story about hope, love and rising up when you need to. Some people when they are faced with hard decisions and thi

A fantastic story on multiple levels. I love the building of characters within a series and Alison Mello does a great job of doing it. Each book in A Coache's Love series can be read as a stand alone but reading them in order gave me a level of satisfaction you can only get by knowing the backgrounds on each person mentioned.
The realism of youth sports and how parents and coaches have a huge responsibility of teaching the positive aspects of athletics which can be carried into the lives of each

This is my first read from this author, and I enjoyed it. Vincent is moving on. He is divorced, his ex-wife left him and his son to move out of state to further her career. She want her cake and all of it with some extra sprinkles on top. This story follows a single dad who is just trying to do right by his son and falling really hard for his assistant. Rise Up shows once again just why I love this series so much! Much like previous books this book is just overflowing with warm feel good sweetness and I couldn’t get enough! Alison Mello has a way of making life’s most difficult moments not only realistic and emotional but also keeping the warmth of the story flowing with her writing. I started this book exhausted and cranky and by the time I finished I was grinning ear to ear and sighing in pure happiness.

So I love the message of this book. Rise up is a great way to look at life. It is used in many different ways in this book. Vincent is a great dad but there's still so much hurt with him and his son. Like the blurb says, his ex wife left them for the New York and not even a word since. Let me tell you about this ex wife..she is a piece of work but she learns her lesson the hard way. Ethan is a remarkable young man. He takes a lot of things and makes them great by just saying Rise Up. I liked how ...more

This is the third book in the A Coach's Love series. I really enjoy this series a lot. I'm not a big basketball fan, but the characters in this one made it exciting. Plus it is was something Amber and Ethan bond over. This book has a serious tone to it and does justice for the characters in the book. We get to revisit characters from previous books. I always love seeing them enjoying their HEAs. One of my favorite things about this book is seeing how much Ethan has matured since the previous boo ...more

I was really excited to see Vincent get a book after everything that went down in the first book and while I liked it, I was thinking it would be more climactic. I’m not meaning that in a bad way, because it was a good book and I really thought that Amber was a great match for Vincent. I just thought the drama aspect was boring. We get some ex drama and it did keep me intrigued but the end...... just wasn’t as intense as I hoped. It was all wrapped up in a nice little bow, and I look forward to ...more

The third and final book in the A Coach's Love series is based on basketball. It follows the coach, his assistant and his son. I loved the chemistry sparked with this couple and the heat the shared. Ethan the son was fantastic as well. has a lot of basketball and coaching and I love that she is into basketball just as much as he is. I loved there was really no push and pull with the relationship as in other books. It was a sweet story in that way. This book brings in cameos from the mom squad se ...more

This is the third and final novel in this phenomenal series, and I am sad that it has finished, but I look forward to reading whatever this talented author brings to us next. Vincent is newly divorced and raising his son Ethan. Amber is Vincent’s PA, and they have more in common than they thought. When the ex wife comes back to town and upsets the apple cart, is this the end of their romance? No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed. The one thing I have found with this series from Alison Mello is that they are raw with emotion and very heartfelt. Rise Up is just as such and it really hits you with the feels. The one thing I adore about this book is the realism of it. You honestly feel like it is playing out in front of you! I really loved Vincent and Amber together. Interesting different enjoyable. I enjoyed reading this one. Vincent and Ethan are quite the father son pair. They are both dealing with a wife and mother that left them behind. She is not wanting back in the picture. But there is so much more to this story. Vincent and Amber are slowly realizing that there is something between them and they give it a chance. But will his ex tear them apart? Great chemistry between Vincent and Amber. I absolutely love how sweet Amber is with Ethan. Well written ...more

Rise Up

After reading Rise Up I need to read the rest of the series. Alison Mello is new to me, and she had me from the start.

Amber always seems to pick the wrong guy. This time with the wrong has cost
Her something important to her. With her down on her luck Ethan decides to make his move.

Ethan a single dad who is willing to do everything for his son.

I couldn’t put this book down once I started it. Amber and Ethan’s story gave two people the love story they both deserved. I would give this boo
