Yep. A turtle. You read that right. Don't be jealous.

This is a well written book for fans of Adult Contemporary Romance.
I will start by saying I typically love everything I’ve read by Weston Parker. I was actually certain this was written by someone else because it was just so not what I was used to. Neither main character was all that enjoyable, but Mallory in particular was awful. She is set up on a blind date with Hayden, Who does not even know he is meeting her until after he is there. Right off the bat she judges him based on what he is wearing and the way his hair is styled. he is admittedly dressed casually for a date, however he thought he was meeting his brother and young son for dinner. She was very rude and stomped off. The following morning she finds he is the specialist brought in to help save her company, and throws him out immediately without consideration. I don’t see her as a “boss B” but as a crass, rude, and judgement mean girl. Yikes. Hayden is a single dad raising his son on his own, and a good guy. She was awful. Sorry, I just couldn’t do it.
While it took me a bit to get warmed up to Mallory, I really did enjoy this book. I had a problem with her at the beginning because it seemed to me that she was too judgemental and not willing to give anyone a chance, but I am happy that I stuck with it. I realized that her behavior was due to the relationship with her mom. Anyway, I really loved Hayden and his commitment to raising his son. He made a great dad and I am so happy that he has such awesome family support in his brother. I'm so glad I bought this book.
Another winner written by this author. Hayden and Mallory were the perfect example of the saying, "opposites attract." His laid back attitude to her strict attitude were absolutely a perfect blend for their relationship. The story flowed well and the plot and dialogue were awesome. I really do enjoy this author's work.
A Wonderful single Dad story. Loved the storyline and the characters and their connections between each other. Fell in love with Haydn and Mallory. It took them a while to get there but it was worth it in the end for them to finally get their HEA. Absolutely adored Booker.
The story itself was so good and I loved it. I sadly skipped through most of the book because of the insane (way too much) amount of 'thoughts' that were written down. I had to skim through it to get the important parts out of it and drop all the constant thoughts that were repeated over and over.
I just loved Hayden and Mallory's story!! They are so different than each other but the each help each and they make each other better!! They both love Hayden's so Booker!! They are such a great couple!! I would recommend this book to anyone!
This book had the makings for a great story but the characters were very shallow and somewhat immature in their actions. They story just didn’t flow well or pull me in. Needed more depth and reality.
The setting is wine country. Single lady owns and runs the family vineyard and winery. Single dad is hired to solve problems with the books. Romance blossoms as situations are resolved and love wins.
A cute read. The up and down of finding true love. The chemistry between Mallory and Hayden was awesome. Through all what they were going through their personal and private life, they got it all.
Liked the characters in this book, their personalities and chemistry, but there was too much uncertainty and way to much thinking going on in their heads. Kinda of a slow read.
My 2nd book by this author - I loved the other book, but this was just clumsy in the delivery. Many times towards the end I found myself quickly skimming through the bla, bla, bla..
I really like the books written by this author. This one is very good. There are twists and turns I did not expect and always love his leading men. The chemistry was great and the sex even better.
It was a nice read for a chill day. However, not one that thrilled me compared to many other books I've read by you, Wes. Love the idea of a female boss, though. 😊
There was so much repetition. We were told the same thing over and over. Mallory was so judgmental. I didn't like her. There were lots of explicit sex scenes.
Love me Last by Weston Parker is a Single Dad Love story. The storyline is fresh, smooth and amazing while every characters in the story just stole my heart.Away from the stereo type billionaire bad boys, outlaws and cowboys, this time Weston Parker came up with an ordinary man's love story who we meet in our day to day life.
Hayden, a freelance auditor with a six year old son, Booker, who was dropped by one of Hayden's hookup by his doorsteps. He has a brother, Ace, who loves his brother and nephew and ready to anything for them. Ace always tries to settle Hayden making him meet new woman, fixing up dates but Hayden always cancels his date before or on the spot.
On the other end, Mallory, single woman who is has taken over her grandfather's winery after her mother falling sick with cancer. She finds out through her financial officer, Charlie that there is a problem in the account books and they have to be found before the IRS arrives for the audit.
Ace and Charlie plays the role of Cupid in these two people, when Ace, being Mallory's gym trainer sets her up on a date with Hayden. Though the date doesn't goes great, unexpected they both made to meet again when Charlie hires Hayden to audit the account. From their how Hayden and Mallory's love shapes up is the story.
There is no twists and nails biting movement, the story moves super smooth as lead gradually fall for one another. When Hayden is the best dad to Booker, Mallory is the best daughter to her mother. This story has sensual hot scenes but mostly deals with emotions. Time worth reading.
Who knew numbers and accounting could be this hot? And as the story turns up the heat, it layers on the sweet. One of the things I love most in a Weston Parker book is how important the family bonds are. In some books, those bonds are made of razor wire, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. Others – and the ones I love the best – are like this one, where those bonds are forged of adamantine; tying hearts and souls together in love for lifetimes. Hayden and Mallory strike sparks from each other from the very first moment we see them together. That reaction doesn’t change much throughout the rest of the story, only what they do with it. Add in some scene-stealing family and friends, Booker and Uncle Ace are pretty darned adorable, and this was a book I couldn’t put down until I had finished it. Maybe we’ll be lucky and in the future there’ll be books about his brother or her best friend. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
