Rotten Lil Peaches: Atl's Finest

Rate this book
Autumn Jackson had a rough life in the rough streets of Southwest Atlanta. The smart girl has plans and visions of life beyond her bleak surroundings. A life-changing incident at the age of fifteen transforms the sweet girl into another person. Her innocence is lost and she is willing to do whatever it takes to secure that bag. Her and close friends, Meka and Qianna, set off on a journey to run up a check up. They follow the bad examples of the bad girls in the hood while adding their own unique twist. Will they achieve the riches they seek or die trying? Either way, they are Atl's finest.

Loved It

This story grabs your attention from the beginning to the end. The storyline was well developed. The characters was introduced with enough information on them to understand their role in the story. A story of friendship based on everyday living. How we stay friends with someone who we really know we are not comparable with. A story of envy, jealousy, greed, and loyalty. Can't wait for part two!

Rotten is the perfect words!

Boy!!!!!! These girls were off the chain! I love how the author described and detailed every scene! The back story of meka, Quianna and Autumn is well thought out, written and delivered! Ms Tammy And meka seem to be coming off that high horse and I’m anxious to know the development of Desi and Autumn/ winter. And let’s not forget Quianna and her thottish ways! This whole book reminds me of what hood books SHOULD be like and I’m ready for part 2.

Whewwwwww when ish got real in this book IT WAS ON AND POPPING! Autumn got on my nerves acting like she was better than her friends when she banged her best friends dad and got pregnant by him.

This really had my clutching my imaginary pearls. Like...I don't even know where to begin with this review. Reading this as the mother of a daughter had me SHOOK. All I know is I will be reading the rest of the series to see what happens to Autumn and the other girls. Sa'id you have me hooked!

A coming of age story in the dirty South. I think the author captured the innocence and recklessness that many of the misguided teens experience as the race toward adult i.e. violence, teen pregnancy, murder, mental illness, etc. There was a bit of repetitive language and the narrator didn't quite big the story to life. I'll be listening to book two to see what's next for these rotten "not so lil" peaches.

Exceptionally well done.

As usual Mr. Sa'id had brougjt us another ghetto gospel that you can't put down. Loved it. If she keep it up Autumn gonna be the next madam or queenpin, but knowing Sa'id she'll be just like them in her environment. Very good perception of how bad some of these woman are out here. Great storyline.

WOW!!

I rated a 5 because it kept you in suspense. I love that Autumn- Winter they are like Geminis personality. I didn't care to much for Mecka, Tammy because she did drugs with her child. Chip was wrong for having sex with minors also Mecka's daddy was wrong too

Great read, but unaware that there was a second part

Life in da hood. Shootings, drug use, teen pregnancy, children growing up before their time. I really enjoyed the Autumn/WInter character! Sounds like me.

Who’s more rotten?

I don’t think I like Autumn, she’s becoming everything she swear she’s better than. Poor Qianna, I hope she gets it together eventually.

Definitely rotten peaches lol

This group of girls were definitely rotten. I felt sorry for them. They are on a path to nowhere. I guess they are just a product of their environment.

My Review

I chose this rating because of the grammatical errors. I like the story line. These poor children are so misguided & trying to do their best to survive the hood.
