*I received this book from the author and Stephanie's Book Reports in exchange for my honest opinion.

Well, well, well...to say that I was nervous picking this up would be putting it lightly. After reading the first two (having some doubts), I'm truly happy to report that of the 3 books I've read thus far in this series, this one I truly enjoyed!!!

Where the first two books revolved around Declan and Aria, this book focuses on Declan's brother, Carter and Declan's co-model bestie, Aimee.

I have read all the books in DD Lorenzo's The Depth of Emotion series...and I have to say, Here/Now may be my favorite. AND I have good news, you CAN read it as a standalone; however, I'd recommend you begin with Positive/Negativity so you understand all of the characters.

What I love about Here/Now and other "series" stories is that it's like visiting old friends. I love the MAIN story and can appreciate the side stories too! DD's writing, her ability to make the reader feel emotion, and story

I have read all three books in this series. IMO, this book could be read as a stand-alone, but it would make more sense after reading the first two. That way you know all of the characters. This is Carter and Aimie's story, and what a story it is! Carter is a widower. His wife was killed in a hit and run accident. Aimee is his friend that he met through his brother, Declan. When Aimee buys a house near his, things start off on the wrong foot. Months later, they begin their friendship again and l ...more

It takes a strong woman to love a flawed man...
I was excited to learn that Here/Now could be read as a standalone because I was anxious to jump in and I didn't have time to go back and start at first book and read all 3. I had been seeing sexy Declan teasers all over facebook and the buzz had captured my curiosity. While he is a character in this book, he's not the main character. This one is focused on Carter, his brother. I had also heard in advance that Marisol was an evil b*tch and I can con

Depth Of Emotion #3
D D Lorenzo
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What can I say about Here Now? I don’t think there are enough words, accolades, emotions or stars. The beginning of this series, Depth Of Emotion was absolutely amazing, and getting the 3rd instalment, Here Now was beyond words. I’m in love with the whole series and cannot wait for more.

For Carter Sinclair, losing his wife Lacey, was the ultimate lose. He Now exists, not living. Leaving his job as a police officer and opening his own security firm

I think this is my favorite book from this series! Even though it can be read as a standalone I always love going into a book where I've already been introduced to the characters. Part of the reason I love this authors work is that even though its romantic suspense, she has her own unique twist on the genre. I thoroughly love the journey she always takes me on, Carter and Aimee's story is no different.
There's love, loss, healing and suspense. I mean that's the perfect four course line up for a g

I'll have to start out by saying this: While reading the first two in the series, I immediately grew to dislike Marisol very much, and then Lorenzo gives us her husband Manny. I don't think I recall any particular book that made me dislike characters as much as I do with Marisol and Manny. Lorenzo writes villains better than anyone I know!

Carter Sinclair's story was everything I had hoped for and more! When first meeting Carter as a secondary character, I knew he needed a story and DD Lorenzo de

A Tender Love Story of Two Kindred Spirits.

This is the third instalment in the Depth of Emotion Series. I fell in love with Aimee and Carter each with their own problems. Poor Carter is trying to recover and move on from the death of his beloved wife Lacy and Aimee had a rough childhood in the system. I was egging on their fledgling relationship when tragedy struck again. Not wanting to give too much away it's safe to say this kept me hooked until the end and I can't wait for the next instalment

This is an intense story from the start and follows on from the two previous books. Carter is still coping with moving on with his life after his wife's death and going to help his brother and sister-in-law, he returns to the home he shared with his wife and finds the memories and grief hard to deal with at first. An unexpected visit from someone he met and friended while at his brothers has him feeling very mixed emotions.
While most of this book is spent dealing with pretty heavy and emotional

Here/Now

After losing his wife to a hit and run, Carter isn’t the same. Enter Aimee who brings color back into Carter’s world. Then the unthinkable happens! Aimee is viciously attacked and she wonders if she will ever be whole again. Here/Now puts you through all kinds of emotion. Oh and I can’t forget about the villainess we all love to hate! Marisol has a few surprises and tricks up her sleeve. I recommend that if you haven’t read the previous books in the series that you do before reading this

You never know how strong you are until tragedy strikes. Just when Aimee and Carter move from being friends to being lovers, they are involved in a horrific attack which tests just how much two broken people can overcome. But is the deck stacked against them when the woman who killed his wife is still in the picture? I absolutely loved this book. The characters were so well developed that the reader can feel every emotion on the page and the storyline had me crying, laughing as well as swearing ...more

Fantastic!!!

WOW! This book is amazing! I was on pins and needles reading this book. I loved Carter in the previous books and the way he took care of his brother. Aimee had a crush on Carter but knew he needed time to grieve. This book is full of action and emotions. The suspense of what did happen and what may happen is amazing. I love this series and I can’t wait for the next book!

4.5 Crowns

Book 3 in the Depth of Emotion series. This book is very much a spin-off from books 1 & 2 and in my opinion it could be read as a standalone. I would however recommend the previous books in the series as this will give you a true and clear understanding of the back story that has led to Here/Now.

This is Carter Sinclair's journey of recovery following the murder of his wife and childhood sweetheart Lacey. Having rushed to the aid of his injured brother very soon after her death, Carter

Here/Now is book #3 in The Depth of Emotion Series. I was gifted a copy of the book by DD direct in exchange for an honest review so here goes…

I read the first two books in the series and although I wasn’t a fan of the first book I thoroughly enjoyed the second book and the demise of Marisol.

Book #3 is about Carter but personally I felt his story was overshadowed by Marisol’s reappearance.

We’re led to believe that Ma

I received as a gift for a honest review

I read some of the reviews that this could be read as a stand alone and I have to disagree.
The first few of chapters were hard to understand because the author was talking about what happened in books 1 and 2.
I wished the author would have gone into a little more detail so I could understand it as I was trying to figure out and understand different parts of the book.

With that being said, after the confusion wore off and we got to the heart of the book,

Just like books 1 and 2, I found this book gripping. There was so much emotion, it came crashing down on the characters, time and again. I really felt I was part of that emotion. The tragic moments and the lovely moments, all wrapped up together and sent through the pages, into my heart.

It was hard not to love this book, with the writing style, so full-on. You were given so much detail that you knew the characters, intimately, as if they were your best mates.

I found the pace of this book to be

I loved reading this book. It’s a book of combined loss, regaining love, some mob-related scenes, an evil conniving person, some great friends, a beautiful woman and my new book boyfriend, Carter. It has a real sad part that brought tears to my eyes. But there’s a good man that comes to the rescue. You’ll find some surreal things happening in this book. I would definitely recommend this book! Thanks for the great read DD Lorenzo.

D.D. Lorenzo did it again! Just when I thought the first two books couldn't be beat. I couldn't put the book down! Read it in one weekend! It is romantic, suspenseful, thrilling ... I could go on and on. Talk about Depth of Emotion -- D.D. always touches on subjects that are really important in everyday life -- panic attacks, death, grief, being yourself -- she hits it all!
Can't wait for the next book! This one gets 5 stars!!!!!

Remember Declan’s brother Carter? This is his story, and the story of his relationship with Aimee (we also meet her in previous books). Tragically widowed really young, Carter finally feels able to move on, and does so by going back to his home town and opening a security business. With Marisol in jail, Aimee is taking her modeling contracts – and just like that, Marisol is back in the reader’s mind. Although they get off on the wrong foot, Carter and Aimee fall in love – and tragedy strikes. Wi ...more
