It thrilled me to continue the Blake Duology with Fallen Angel after reading December Knight’s Devil of Gilding. Fallen Angel picks up with the teenagers whom they kidnapped for a greater purpose, but were only subjected to beatings, starvation, and loneliness. Devil, their capture, takes them on a trip to hide them as Toby Blake’s father and uncle close in on their location. Fallen Angel by December Knight is the sequel to Devil of Gilding and because of that, I will not provide a summary since it will spoil the prequel for those who may have not read the last book. I have read a lot of books, but this one touched my heart very deeply. Some books are just a filler of time, and then there are those you read that just stay with you. The characters in Fallen Angel become your friends and enemies and the storyline is so deep and complex that it makes you want to keep reading. I just love the main character, Toby, who is a sweet, thoughtful, and gentle boy in Devil of Gilding, and becomes a kindhearted sacrificial young gentleman in Fallen Angel. The perseveranc ...more
