Rate this book
Organizing Your Kitchen with SORT and Succeed is the simple five-step system to declutter and organize your kitchen and pantry shelves. The kitchen is the heart of the home, even if we spend less time cooking. We still gather, work, meet, congregate and eat in and around the kitchen now more than ever. Clear some space, make it easier to get to essential kitchen items, and do it all while learning a simple system that you can use to organize any space in your home, beyond the kitchen. SORT and Succeed are the five steps used by Darla DeMorrow, CPO®, a professional organizer since 2005 and best-selling author. Also included: a printable Daily Kitchen Cleaning Checklist and a special report on what to do with those awkward corner cabinets.

Simple advice, clearly written

If I read enough cleaning books, maybe one will stick and my house will suddenly be immaculate. Sound theory, right?

This book is plainly written, no frills, just cleaning and organizing tips spelled out in nearly organized sections. As with any book of this style, some advice works while some doesn't - I'm not keen on going wild with a label gun through the kitchen, but understand it may work for others.

Overall well written and edited with sound advice. An example of the writing:

"If you are looking for a quick organizing project with a big payback, go find where in your home you are storing air.

Empty boxes, plastic bins, shoe boxes, wicker baskets, plastic food storage and glass jars are storing air."

I loved reading this book!

I bought the complete series of the SORT and Succeed books. I'm so glad that I purchased this book, it helped me immensely to start organizing my kitchen. My kitchen is about 3/4 organized now. I have a little ways to go and it will be completely organized, thanks to this book. I feel so much happier when I walk into my kitchen now. I am also pleased that my kitchen is easier to clean now!

I read this in just over an hour and it was quick and to the point. I feel like all organizing books should be like this because it doesn't seem daunting to take on the area when it is broken down in a small book that is quick and easy to read. I began my kitchen organization the same day I read this and I look forward to finishing my kitchen.

It sounds pretty interesting

Written in an easy to understand way. I appreciate that. This will probably take me a little longer to complete but I will have to stick with it. Since I had a stroke in February, this will show me the improvements that I am making every day. I will follow your lead. TY.

Simple and inspiring

I have started on a full house cluttering mission and of all the books and articles I have read, this book has been the most beneficial. It's very simple and has given me the motivation I need to get my kitchen under control.

Another organizing. Book this one may be more helpful.

Fairly straight forward. Maybe the way its laid out makes me more hopeful it will actually help. I've got my counters cleared at least and a written plan.

Redundant

Nothing new. Very basic tips most people already know.
A waste of money...wish I had searched elsewhere for a better book.

Kind of a waste. Glad it was cheap

The second half or so of this book is a waste of time. I don't need cooking advice or recipes.

Great, thanks for sharing every word!

I appreciate the common sense. The ideas are very easy to follow up with and more importantly a place to begin.
